Ta-da: Ate dinner Tried to give cat meds. Lots of hassle, no joy. Watched youtube videos for tips and tricks.Try again tomorrow. Gathered load of dirty dishes in dish pan. Scooped, changed puppy pads around litter pans. Changed puppy pad on pantry floor. Threw out dirty paper plates and puppy pad from cat feeding area. Made a mug of coffee. Plugged in devices to charge.
To-do: Grab needle nose pliers from tool bag. Grab tweezers if I can find them. Take tweezers, pliers and a roll of paper towels upstairs. Clean hair out of bathtub drain. The thought grosses me out but no one else is gonna do it. Plus it's my own hair. Plus I've done it before. Just want to avoid. Focus on satisfying feeling I will get of water going down drain freely. Clean bathtub. Focus on how good it will feel to have a bath in a nice clean tub.

1) Finished unpacking the lamp and put it on desk. It's just what I wanted: simple design, the right size, and has an outlet and a USB port in its base.2) Cleaned up the hundreds of ^&*%ing minuscule pieces of foam.3) Pulled something together for dinner. Ate. Relaxed.
gaylem, I hope the plumbing is working fine tomorrow, your drive into the city goes well, and your brother recovers quickly. sweetsunshower, have you ever used a mesh drain cover for the bathtub? It catches a lot of my hair. There's more than one kind. Good luck with that cleaning. I have to do that with my sink sometimes.

Great job gaylemNice finding just the right lamp, goldenthreads. foam Nice work sweetsunshower. I had cats for years. Have the pill ready. You need a pill pusher. It's pretty much the same as a suppository injector. Any vet can sell you one. For a cat who scratches, wrap tightly in a towel, preferably one you don't car about. A kicker can snag it. Having two people helps. If you don't have help, you can use duct tape on the towel. Make sure it is really tight around the neck. He will try to get legs out. With your non dominant hand, open mouth. He won't cooperate, stick a finger in the corner of his mouth, it'll open. Stick the pill in, pushing one half inch to one inch past the hump of the tongue, you're really pushing it into the throat. If you don't go far enough, he can spit it out. Hold mouth closed until he swallows. Unwrap angry cat. Oh, the indignity.

sweetsunshower If this is a regular medicine - check with your vet on transdermal (rub in the ears option) or compounded into a treat. A little more cost but saves A LOT of wear and tear on the nerves. My DM is quite elderly and her hands don't work as well as they did. She was having trouble with medicating her cat and with Covid - we couldn't help out. It is like night and day with the "treats". We get seafood flavor for him but many other options. Good luck!

Working in multiples of three because I'm going to be blocked from here for a while. Let's see if I can do them all in two hours. 1) Take walk. 2) Tidy 15 minutes. 3) Wash dishes. 4) Go to pharmacy and pick up the drugs that weren't ready yesterday. 5) Text photos to friend. 6) Get dressed. 7) Do some work on minor project. (I'm renaming it from "major" to see if I can manipulate my mind.) 8) Weed a few minutes. 9) Shower.
