Hello All! I haven't checked in a few days as I was helping my daughter with some repairs on the 95 y/o house she just bought, and then helped her move in.
ta-da's: Got some much needed rest (Slept in) Ran and then emptied the dishwasher Walked to neighbor's house (about 1/2+ mile) and got her mail for her. When I got home I put my mail straight into the recycling box. Fed sourdough and started a batch of whole-grain-sourdough pizza crust Eating some veggies and cheese for lunch
to-do: Take recycling down to main road for pick up Clean up one of 3 areas X 15 minutes Financial: Move money from one account to another so I can pay taxes and tuition, and some other bills. Log into university website and pay bill, also get documentation for class I passed, to submit for reimbursement.

Thank you goldenthreads! I totally include "woke up to alarm clock"and "breakfast" to my ta da lists! I appreciate company but don't feel pressure! It helps me to just to be able to write here and be accountable. *** I did my three tasks, although I didn't go to grocery shopping today after all. Cooked dinner (mung bean tomato sauce, brown rice, salad). Walked 50 minutes while chatting with a friend. I am really tired, it's 9:30 PM here. I still need to reply some emails and clean my work laptop from all my data. Then I am done for today and will start catching up on some shows.

OnTheMend, Well my neighbor is elderly and lives alone. I started getting her mail a few years ago, when I noticed that her newspaper was often sitting in the driveway for days. We had been having a string of break-ins in the area, The thieves would come to a house in broad daylight, knock on the door/ring the doorbell, and if no one answered, they'd break in take as much as they could in 5-10 minutes and then be gone. (If someone answered they would ask for water for their radiator, or some other random thing.) I started getting her mail and paper at that time, either on my way home from work, or as part of my walking/exercise program. ta-da's: Put out recycling box Cleaned a few things up in the entryway. Fed the chickens Eating some homemade yogurt. to-do: Onward!!!

ta-da's: A few weeks ago the fridge/freezer started behaving erratically. We took parts out to troubleshoot. Got it working again, (well mostly) by giving it a thorough defrost and replacing the defrost heater. I hadn't screwed one part together in the refrigerator section yet, so just did that now. We had ordered a new thermostat for the freezer, which may need to be replaced... We'll see. Modern freezers have a defrost cycle, in which they warm up slightly to melt the frost/ice build-up and then they get cold again. Ours seems to get too warm during this cycle, but it could be because we had not replaced a part where it belongs in the fridge. Put dinner in the pressure cooker Tidied up a few other things.
to-do: I never finished all the things on my list earlier. I keep getting distracted. Onward!!!

Ally, I had no idea that that's how frost-free refrigerators do it! Interesting. That screwing in the part was a worthwhile "distraction," I think. Now back I go to my list.

1) Met virtually with book club. That's it. I am learning to face the fact that my brain is not willing or able to work evenings, so I need to stop setting any but the tiniest goals.
tonight 1) Take the can and water bottle to the kitchen; relax for the rest of the evening. 2) Get ready for bed, including putting clothes in hamper. 3) Go to bed. tomorrow 1) Wash dishes. 2) Write and research for email to daughter.3) Finish and send the email.

Sorry to keep spamming the thread, but I am still working on my threes! I should get this particular task done after one more session, even if it means working a bit longer than 10 minutes. So, to make a new list of three: 1. finish the document and email it 2. kickboxing 3. quick shower (it's already mid afternoon here, I was supposed to get my kickboxing and showering done before noon!) I did it, I just finished this document I have been working on today - about 4 hours later than I had hoped to, but it is done! I will change my list a bit, because right now I am starving, so next is eating something light, then exercising, then shower. babz25 thanks! The kickboxing I refered to isn't the hardcore type, just a workout inspired by kickboxing! They are so fun! It seems like not many from Europe use the forums during the day, as there has been many days when I have hoped to get some company and no-one seemed to be active. But great that American continent is starting to wake up! Well done OnTheMend

Thank you Razy! I hope to wrap up the rest of the tasks related to my university change today. I have already woke up to my alarm clock at 7.30 AM (and actually got up!), drank 2 cups of coffee, made todo list, chosen and resistance training video and chosen about 10 minutes worth of fast music to dance to. I also used (wasted?) time trying to find a perfect tune to add to my alarm clock. I found the tune but now am having trouple converting it to mp3 file format. The things we waste time on, ! Next on my list are: 1. answer email 2. answer email 3. answer email Ha ha!

I also put a load of laundry on and tidied up a bit as I walked though my home. And watered house plants. (Edited: and wiped kitchen counters.) Next: 1. answer the rest of the work emails 2. dance 3. resistance training

Good Morning/Evening. :) OnTheMend I really like your signature line. I used to have that written on a stand-up card on a my desk. It means a lot to me. TaDa: List made for shopping today. Re-thinking how to keep cool, as temps at night have often been hovering around 100. Recycling and trash by door ready to take out. ToDo: Make tea. Fill water pitcher filter and tea kettle. Re-check plan for the day.
