Because of Covid-19, the local re-cycling place is no longer doing buy-back. All the aluminum, glass, and plastic I used to get money back for no has to be disposed of another way. We do not have the room to store this stuff until and if buy-back starts up again. I have to choice but to throw away these recyclable items. I've been re-cycling for years so throwing away recyclable items bothers me to no end. I have to accept it for now and do my best to calm myself down. Compared to the huge problems that many people have because of Covid-19, my issues are small. Nevertheless I am bothered.

Some trash/garbage truck drop off places put the garbage on a conveyor belt and people stand on both sides and pick out the recyclables as the trash rolls by. There is such a facility near here. I hope somewhere all the trash from your area gets sorted out too.

In exceptional times amnesty to discard these items is, I think, well justified.
