Good morning everyone!
OnTheMend, so you are moving to a whole new town, a new start. Good luck with your packing party!
Cando, I hope you find that check, how frustrating. Well, maybe you will find other things you're looking for too while searching, that's what always happens to me.
I only got about 6 hours of sleep last night because once again, I could not fall asleep after getting up at 2 to check on my sister. And the frustrating thing is she was sound asleep when I got up so the only thing I did was empty her catheter bag, she didn't get up to use the commode until about 3:30, at which point I was still awake so I heard her and got up to help. I just don't understand why I can't fall back to sleep, this has never been a problem for me before now.
Anyway, I finally fell back to sleep around 4:30, and when I got up around 6:30, she wasn't yet ready for breakfast, so that still has to be done. I did bring some garbage outside and picked up litter in the yard while it was still comfortable outside. Today and tomorrow will be hot and humid.
TO DO:
Get breakfast for my sister See how hard it will be to cut a roll of old carpeting in half with my utility knife

Good morning PS, your niece is wonderful!
My sister still didn't want breakfast, so I went to the basement to try cutting the carpet. The handyman ripped up this horrible, red shag carpeting in one of the rooms before he got sick, and he taped it up into 6-7 rolls. 3-4 of the rolls were small enough to fit into the garbage can, the other 3 were not--and they have to be short enough to fit into the can in order for the waste company to take them. I was picturing a terribly hard job, trying to cut through the carpeting with my little utility knife--but it was almost easy! I figured I'd cut and unroll one half of the roll as I went, but after cutting through the first 4 feet or so and starting unrolling one side, I could actually tear it--that's how old and fragile the backing had gotten. So I have already taken the part that was still taped/rolled up out, later I will roll up the other half and put that in the can too. That leaves 2 more large rolls, I can do one each week and finally get rid of it-yay!
Next:
Check again to see if my sister wants to eat yet See if I can find a good flashlight online and order Eat my own breakfast 10 minutes on plants

Good morning! Diane good news about the carpet cando I am sorry you have had such a hard week with your dad's health, your nasty boss, the loss of your friend, the missing check - I pray today is peaceful for you! last night I took us out to dinner, I just did not feel like cooking! Came home and took a deep nap on the couch so I was up too late. And that is bad because the up-too-late me ends up having unhealthy eating after a day of good eating. UGH. OK a new day, a new start... Had a lovely morning sipping my coffee on my deck on a truly gorgeous day. Kind of tired but need to get moving my plumbing problems are back. My bathroom sink is emptying into my tub. Gross! This happened before and I treated it. i need to call a plumber but I first will try that poisonous drain declogger. I have tried hot water / baking soda and vinegar, and an enzyme based one. Now this stuff. Just bailed out the tub. Also plan to clean up and photograph a big toy to sell! The recent sale of a big toy was a week of grocery money! This is not not valuable but it is big and it will be good to free up the space.

Good morning bree!
The recent sale of a big toy was a week of grocery money
Wow, that's great--and an item out, besides!
My sister finally wanted her breakfast, and I sat down there for a while with her and finished some crosswords--she likes the hard NY Times puzzles, and usually there's a small section or two she can't finish so I then look at them. Out of 5 puzzles with bits left undone we finished 4, the last one was just some of those clues that are so obscure that you'd have to be a professor in the subject to know them without looking them up.
Next:
Clean up from breakfasts 10 minutes PEEPing 10 minutes on paperwork Food and potty break for the dog

Wow! So much getting done & interesting posts. My memory is not good enough; however, to keep up with everyone. Dang it! bree Thank you! peaceseeker Sorry you haven't been feeling well, I hope today is a better day. TwinkleToes You can do it!!! I always loved your lists, but, I've been having trouble with my long lists for the last few months. Also, at times like you're going thru -- just eating & if you can do self-care are huge victories. I understand. We are here with you & supporting you. I do feel better when I get things on my list done, too. dtesposito So glad the carpet was easy! You've had enough challenges. And, thank you. *Put load of laundry in washer *Folded/hung load of laundry *Put away that load *Moved load to dryer & hung the hang-dry things *Made plans to help friend. (not today, but may cancel due to Covid concerns).

Well as usual, I am late to the party!
Fairly productive weekend. I made zucchini blueberry bread that turned out awesome. Today I made a pork loin roast with carrots and potatoes. Kitchen is all cleaned up (it is my mom's house so it is usually always clean) I wiped all of the counters down very carefully, even counters I did not use. She watched. Sure enough she wiped them down again. Nothing is good enough unless she does it. Ugh......
I am doing laundry now. Two loads washed and dried. A small third load washing.
I cleaned up my room (at my parents house) even more. I want through and tossed some papers. Pulled out some clothes that don't fit anymore or don't fit right. I had gotten these at the salvation army and saved them for when I lost weight. I lost weight and I don't like them or they are too baggy. All that wasted space. In my room at my home, I have been pulling out clothes and bringing them to my parents house and going thru them. I bought two pair of denim capris on sale but I found an end of season stash from my favorite store that fit real well and aren't out of style, so I will return the ones I just bought.
This is ridiculous. I have so many stashes tucked all over.
