Good morning! OnTheMend, I hope that you get everything done today that you had planned. You're doing great so far! I've been moving my middle of the night wake-up check on my sister later and later, so that I can sleep for a longer chunk of time. Today I woke up at 3:30 and finished helping her at 4:00--that meant I was able to sleep from 10 to 3:30. However, I could not fall back to sleep even though I tried from 4:00 to 5:30. So I will definitely need a nap at some point today. Now I'm up and have taken the dog out and fed her, but my sister is sleeping and is not ready for breakfast. I'll try to do a few lists. TO DO: Go through newspapers Find email with photo of pet grooming items
10 minutes each: Plants Desks Diane
Good morning (it's late afternoon/early evening here)! Thank you! It's been a productive day and I still plan to do few things. My friend just left she was very helpful and made some phone calls for me (bless her heart). I hope you have a productive day too Diane, and everyone else too! Since my last update I have done these: TA DA! X carrying things, like with like (for easy packing) X start contacting places that rent boxes X ask quotation for taking dishwasher and washing machine off from the water supply etc, ready for moving X dishwasher/washing machine person booked X more decluttering X friend comes to help me in the afternoon (she was here 3 hours) X errands (online) X got message about one of the apartments I have applied to X plan the rest of the day's moving related MITs (most important tasks) NEXT: _ relax a bit _ dinner _ answer email _ contact few more moving box places _ prepare applications for certain rental agent (they want lot of documentation so it's a bit labour intensive, but I will want to do this today, and they have several interesting apartments thatwould suit me) _ evening walk _ call friend who promised to help with boxes _ get packages _ ask grocery store to save me good boxes

I'm just doing what I can when I can in priority order
take care of my sleep, meds and eating right take care of cats do minimums
I have a drs visit and 3 tests on thurs and fri. DN is going to take me.
I like keeping the habit of checking in even when I dont have the energy for shout outs or to accomplish much. It gives me so much hope to watch everyone continue on their journeys. It reminds me I will be in the thick of it again when I am able.

Well, now I have to say good afternoon, since it's so late. I ended up deciding on the spur of the moment to go to the pharmacy that is a mile away, so I took the bus there. Then when I started on my way home I realized that I hadn't looked at the bus schedule to come back, and sometimes there are 30 minutes in between buses, so I decided to walk home--that would let me stop at the other pharmacy for the other meds. Well, half way home I saw the dollar store where my sister said she had gotten some mesh laundry baskets, so I stopped in there, but they didn't have any. I saw Colgate toothbrushes for a dollar so decided to get one and a bottle of dish soap, and got in line behind a woman who wanted to do some kind of complicated return which honestly took the cashier about 20 minutes to figure out. By this time I was really tired and had to sit down on a building ledge to rest. I got to the other pharmacy which is just a block and a half from home, and they wanted to charge me $118.00 for 3 of my sister's meds. I asked why so much, and in looking at it, it turns out they do not have her second insurance card on file. After I went there for the first transferred prescription, with her 2 cards in hand, and the extremely rude woman who waited on me waved them away and said, "we already have those on file". Umm, no, you didn't--which means we paid too much for the first 2 prescriptions we got there.
So I told the clerk I would have to come back tomorrow with her insurance card. And I imagine, have to wait half an hour while they figure out how to add it to the prescriptions that were already rung up and ready to go.
The nurse is supposed to come some time in the next hour, which really means, some time in the next 3 hours. And, between 3 and 5 I have the gutter cleaning guy coming to give an estimate.
I will try to do a little work while waiting for these things, but I never manage to do much while waiting for people to come to the house.
The good news is that the 2 most accurate weather sites are both saying that it will go down to mid-80s for a high on Sunday and then around 80 for Monday and Tuesday! That will be a relief.

You are having quite the day @deposito patience is in order! Good for you for hanging in there with rude and unhelpful store clerks. I know they take a lot of abuse from rude customers but there are plenty who dish it out as well.
I just did an uncomfortable return yesterday for $34. I was polite and got it done. Don't need new friends for this kind of transaction :-).
I have accomplished a lot this morning: Dropped of items at my SIL's house. Took the key as we're on cat-sitting duty this weekend. Give-away items in car are ready to go. Updated the vacation rental schedule. Sent to three cleaners and requested response by Friday. Paid bills.
Next up: Shower Wash Hair Consider hiring fitness/weight loss coach and make a decision. Need to know cost and any product (likely shakes) cost and minimum sign-up. Drop off returns Paperwork - at least a half-hour

So true itsy, we often feel like we have to please people even when we're in the right.
The 2-3 o'clock estimate from the nurse is over and she's not here. On the other hand, the gutter cleaner called me an hour before his time slot and said he was in the neighborhood, could he stop by early! I really liked him, and his price seems reasonable, so they're going to come and do the work on Saturday. I was outside with him for a while though and it's so hot, now I have to recover, while waiting for the nurse.
I can't believe the day's half over already!

Ugh, I'm always so tired on nurse days. She was an hour late again. I finished up a load of laundry I was doing, and spent some time on the phone. Honestly, I could go to sleep right now...
My sister doesn't want to eat yet, so I will try to do a few slow lists.

A slight but very positive change in plans. I was fully prepared to go with the sofa person to take my sofa to the recyling facility, as I thought it was only one person and carrying it needs two, but there were two of them so I didn't have to go. This was perfect.
I had planned to run some errands at the town today after the sofa drop off, but now I will do those tomorrow as I have to go to town anyway then to pick up my evening gown from the dry cleaner's. I voluntarily paid the sofa persons 10 € more than they asked because they just made my day a lot easier!
They also said they can do cleaning and window washing too, if I need help. This was also good to know as it is rather difficult to arrange all the cleaning with cross country move. I might just call her next week, depending on how much we get cleaning done with my friend next weekend.
I had a bit of a speedy morning today and thus I missed my relaxing morning me time, so I will now take a moment to relax and refocus for the rest of the day. I will come back to update my next steps a bit later.
TA DA! X shower X get ready X sofa person comes AND hauls the sofa without me

Good morning OnTheMend--what good luck about the sofa people--doesn't something like that just make your whole day feel better?
I slept a little better last night, I would still like to get a nap today since there was no chance of one yesterday. Today I have to go back to the pharmacy with my sister's insurance cards, but other than that there are no appointments. I also have a handful of "must-do" items that I've been putting off, not difficult to do but just things that keep getting put at the end of the list.
I just took care of the dog and brought breakfast to my sister, so I will have my own breakfast now and watch a little cable news.
