Hmm. My dad owned a janitorial business. He used long handled pro dust mops, with say 15-18" heads, floor part. So, a mop cover is a fabric, flannel is good, envelope, open on short end. There's a handle hole in the middle of the envelope. Slide the handle into the envelope out the hole, pull the cover over the mop head. It's an easier to wash dust cover.
B 2 inhalers F Breakfast C Empty box (dif one) to pile Bit of cardboard to recycle Dried 1 pillow
Took up Dust mop Broom Dustpan Clean coverlet Gal ceiling paint Spray bottle of starch Dug in box on landing, hmm, it's mostly garment fabric
Dug around, found a really thin flannel sheet, I can cut it, I have 2 for my bed. Gah. Head just went to what if I have guests.... aaaaahhhhh! I'm cutting it.
Put coverlet in blanket box
Brought down bag of wool yarn for knitting and mending socks 2 rag towels 4 hangers Hung up 2 very wrinkled jackets that were in a trash bag, apparently on way to cleaners, a few years if memory serves
Onward warriors! ZERO enrty today!!!!

Aaahahahaha
I just realized why I can't find the blasted flannel sheet I wanted to cut.
It's on the floor of the piled up upstairs bedroom with a pile of garment fabric on it. I realized this as I was planning on moving the landing fabric to that particular pile. And visualizing cleaning the stairs once the landing is clear.
Whoosh!

Hi Mouseanne!! I gave your 10 day challenge some thought, and think I want to join in. I am only going to have two goals though...
1. Dishes need to be done every day. 2. Discard or donate 2 things every day.
Today is day one. So we'll go from Aug 23rd - Sept 1st. That gets me close to labor day weekend when I have a few extra days off!
ETA: I changed my discard/donate goal to just two things each day. Yesterday I did 10 things, and it was HARD. I've gotten better about getting rid of things in the last year.

your system is brilliant, mouseanne! i have to keep referring back to the original 6 names of your list because i have no memory - but WTG on all actions and on the self care item of a new bedroom and bed in a style you love. the other things will come in their time. maybe the yard sale people will let you have the other things you wanted too and let you pay later. (sorry, don't want to be an enabler. sounds like you need or want a good floor lamp... do they have one? and that stool... i swear if you got that you will not regret it.
i'll be following along, forgive my lack of tracking though! i'll just send you some dancing bananas and cheering
