TaDa Sun
Contemplated kitchen deco cup hooks. There's 8 cup hooks, spaced a bit far apart. I hang my in use pot holders and vintage K tools on them. They've been painted over. OCD me, I can't just hang 7 sparkly new ones in between the painted ones. Got out my cup hooks, counted them. Have 13, need 15. Thinking.
Contemplated a place to hang iron pans. I've hung them the last 20 years. Currently in oven drawer. Works shrug but if I need the bottom one, I have to lift off 3, hurts my arthritis. There's not a logical place.
I have a vintage dial pressure cooker. The seal no long seals, but it's a great pan. The lid handle has something like bakelite that the dw damages, so I hand wash. The plastic is held on by two tiny rivets on top, attached on bottom by screws. The outside set are missing, so it's a bit wobbly. Several weeks ago, I hardware store hunted, for 11 and 19 cents, found a tiny nut and bolt.
C Put them in, handle no longer wobbly
In contemplation if this post, it looks like I'm avoiding tasking.
Cup hook realization. I can take down the painted ones, switch out the 4 new ones I hung in the laundry with painted ones, the I have enough new ones for the kitchen.
...still wasting time...

TaDa Sun C 5 Took out 1 painted cup hook. No go. Wide base, when removed, there's a base shaped bit of unpainted wood. Put it back. Took down the things on the hooks. Drilled 5 holes, put in 5 shiny cup hooks, re-hung the things. 2 Put away the drill. I had sorted the baggie of hooks yesterday. Several types sizes. Put them in dif baggies, put the small bin away.

Hi Mouseanne! Your reward system sounds a bit complicated to me - but I realize you like all them numbers! And I like that you're not starting off in the hole, that's not very motivating!
I think my reward will be a pedicure as well. I'll get it after my 10 days - perhaps next weekend.
Day 6 was a success!! Day 7 was a success!! I ran the dishwasher and put away the hand washed pan.
Today (Sunday, Day 8) will be a success too... I want to work some more in the kitchen.
In just two days it will be 10 days of no dishes from the day before! I am not sure that's EVER happened in my house!

skatters I'm so proud of you and happy for you. You started where you were at and stuck with it.
One thing whether I want to or not is working for me. I don't want to, then I do it, then something happens, and I do MORE.

mouseanne: Perhaps, your father gave you the evening bag because it is something so "personal;" that is, it is something that your mother would have held in her very hands.

Oh Arid, I like that theory. Also, mouseanne - did you check inside the bag to make sure it's empty? Maybe it holds a small treasure your mother left in it.

I worked out my rewards, so I'm never in the hole, or behind. Unless, of course I over spend, or am too self indulgent.
Weekdays $3 Saturday/Sunday $10 Bonus if a day goes over 50 items $10
Then I tested a 30 day, three 10 days, month is $226. Wow, too much money, not helpful with my debt reduction plan. I thought I'd remove the bonus. Then, I realized part of my challenge is home meals. My regular money budget includes $50 per pay period, 2 per month, for eating out. And, I can include household wants, things I don't really need, but just want, like some kitchen gadget or instant pot accessory, etc.
It feels normal, counting $100 month eating out and a monthly pedicure $71 out of the monthly reward leaves $55. Which works out to a weekly splurge purchase of around $13. I'm good with my numbers.
Two weeks in, adding up the pedicure, a magazine renewal, 3 eat out meals, parchment paper, nail jewel tools, I have a few dollars to spend. I've worked hard for my money twice! Earned the paycheck, then home tasks and self improvement earned the rewards.
I'm a happy camper.
