Wouldn't a drug like that be amazing goldenthreads. I'm sure no one would mind if you used this thread to process some of the thoughts/feelings that are getting in your road at the moment (like seahorse does on her blog). I'm a big fan of talking/writing about things because it seems to help make better sense of problems, it must shift the worry from one part of the brain, where it just swirls around in a never ending mess, to another part where it can be be more objective make some decisions. Sheets in the wash First load of washing hung out Duvet outside to air in the sun Clean clothes folded Greens and water to the hens and collected eggs Cleaned up kitchen a bit Started dishwasher Watered some plants Took out recycling Made list Looked for ideas for birthday gift Get next load of washing ready to go Put table cloth back where it belongs Water house plants Maybe another cup of coffee...

You had an interesting convo while I was gone. goldenthreads I can relate to the 80%. razy One of the reasons I keep coming back to Listzilla is that if I write down what I accomplished, I remember it. Otherwise, I remember only what I didn't do. TO DO 1. Picked up mail 2. Mowed lawn 3. Took box of work stuff into work and prepared materials for next week. I still have to go back the next three days to chip away at the rest of the list. 4. Made myself soup from overripe tomato, onion on its last legs, bullion cube, and canned chicken. Tasty! 5. Put coats into my bedroom closet; the front closet is officially for tools that can't be stored outside. 6. Put away dry dishes. TO DO 1. Put away dry clothes. 2. Shower and dress for bed. 3. Read a little more of the book I need to return next week.

I just started to post in the August thread, and then saw there was a post about it being September... Oh yeah, that's right! I didn't post on Thursday, because I was able to get into the Pfizer, Covid Vaccine Phase 3 clinical trial. I was out and about much of the day, then came home and was not very productive. I did get my first injection!!! ta-da's: Released the chickens and fed them Made and ate some blueberry pancakes. Loaded up and started the dishwasher. It seems that it gets full awfully fast with only 2 people living here. to-do: I feel like I'm not keeping up with my class work as well as I should be. I have 2 exams in the next 7 days. I need to spend time reading, reviewing, preparing. Water the house plants. I've not been good about this lately. Cleaning lots of different areas, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom? Sewing project? Eat some watermelon...

That's exciting Ally !! Looking at it strictly from a practical (almost academic) standpoint - the expertise and speed with which so many pharmaceutical companies are working is truly astounding. There really is nothing the world can't accomplish if everyone just worked together and held out a hand instead of a fist. I was excited to discover this past week how close I am to maintenance. . This long weekend I plan to hang a bunch of stuff - I have tons and finish the living room sort and purge - only one trunk of linens and the entertainment unit which is much less filled than the one in the other room. But first - I want to PEEP and spot clean all the areas that are technically in maintenance right now. Guessing that will take most of the morning since my kitchen really looks bad right now. 1) get cleaned up 2) wash pots/pans (double sided sink is FULL) 3) start laundry

Ally, good luck on your exam prep and cleaning. It's so cool that someone I "know" is in that vaccine trial. I am grateful for all of you. phoenixcat, glad to see you here. I saw your post listing the areas in maintenance, and they way outnumber (and out-area) the remainder. Excellent. 1) Take a walk. 2) Wash dishes. 3) Work 10 minutes on bedroom project. Getting to the harder stuff now, and it's slower going.

TA DA Various tasks around my mom's house and work stuff TO DO Tackle ye olde cat pan area: Find cat bag (just returned from a few weeks at beach and things are scattered) Find scoop and a scoop bag Scoop one item from cat pan Turtle steps today - feeling overwhelmed and grumpy. Cat has decided to start depositing floor piles again - argh.

Well, I am suspecting that I am in the control arm (placebo) of the COVID study. From what I have read, in late October, there will be a review of the data. They are looking for 2 things. 1. Safety. They will continue to monitor the people who got the injection for side effects. So far it has been similar to other vaccines, but maybe a tad bit worse, injection site pain, muscle aches, low grade fever, etc. 2. Effectiveness. A small percentage of people who are in the placebo arm of the study will get Covid through community transmission. They will compare this number with the percentage of people who test positive for Covid in the vaccine branch of the study. If they find it safe and effective, they will offer the people in the control group the chance to be vaccinated, and production of the vaccine will continue to be ramped up, so that people in high-risk groups can be vaccinated, hopefully by the end of December or the beginning of January. The vaccine I was given had to be stored at 80 C (-112 F) degrees below zero, so that might affect the distribution to some degree.
ta-da's: watered my houseplants dishwasher was run studied for a few minutes but was distracted started making cat food.
to-do: Clean up around the house some more... Kitchen, Laundry, Bathroom, Bedroom Lots more...

You're brave Ally! I will most likely wait to see what the effects are of the first round of vaccines. I have yet to get a flu shot...although maybe this year I will start. TA DA Found kitty bag which had scoop and a scoop bag Scooped out both pans (good to see that kitty has also used the pan for some piles, not all on the floor - maybe there is some hope) TO DO Open dishwasher to let steam out Take recycling from kitchen to bin in garage Tidy kitchen table (mostly mom's mail...)

Put a load of mom's towels and wash cloths in washer Took 5 minute tv break and now... TO DO 5 minutes look for possible work email that I hope exists - it would contain instructions on how to do a certain task Empty 5 items from dishwasher Go upstairs and clean up one kitty pile from bathroom floor

Hope you get the inspiration you need seahorse! 1) get cleaned up 2) wash pots/pans (double sided sink is FULL) 3) start laundry Gave myself three checks on the dishes because of both sides being full and a bunch sitting on the counter. . All air drying on the counter right now. Kitchen is going to be handled in 5 areas - sink area, island area, stove area, coffee pot area and floor. It is all dirty and cluttered. 1) coffee pot area - easiest 2) sink area 3 stove area - seriously disgusting

Glad to see you here, seahorse ! 1) Stepped outside to check the temperature. There was a bird party going on! Flickers, a pair of hummingbirds, finches--and they just kept moving and calling. I must have stood and watched for five minutes. I'm counting this as morning meditation.2) Took a walk. 3) Washed dishes.
1) Work 10 minutes on bedroom project. 2) Clear stuff out from under kitchen sink. 3) Spray Concrobium.
