WELCOME TO December WITing!
The guidelines for WIT are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. ☝️ - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. - Once you have 3 things done, post them here! - Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. - You aren't required to do the 3 things you had planned on -- just get any 3 things done and then post proudly.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, or just need to break your tasks down into something manageable, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of: - Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying 😢 - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away book 📚 - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash . . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE-DOM !!!
You could post: Ta-Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers Then your To-Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those 3 to-do's,or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

I'm working on a presentation tomorrow that I REALLY DON'T WANT TO (imagine me on the floor crying and banging my fists like a a 2 year old). So I'm taking it slow.

Good morning, guys and dolls! erniethecat I sympathize. I don't want to read another report (in teeny-tiny font) and grade it. The snow hit last night and a winter storm advisory is in place all day. Guess who forgot to bring the snowshovel in from the shed? TA-DAH 1. Made bed 2. Laundry load #1 in the dryer 3. Laundry load #2 in the washer 4. Answered work emails 5. Broke cardboard boxes down and put into recycling bin 6. Sorted loose papers TO DO 1. More work-at-home stuff 2. Make coffee or tea (something hot, at any rate) 3. Dry laundry put-away

missjean and erniethecat. Had breakfast. Had water. Guzzled two glasses. Did not realize how dehydrated I was. Had coffee. These are actual achievements because I did not want to move. Start dishes soaking. Make bed, take meds.
Spend 5-10 minutes reorienting myself to my most important project. Read all the doctors' emails I've been ignoring.
Decide on and order a new mop.

goldenthreads dehydration can make us sluggish, so I hope your water gave you some pep! TA-DAH 1. More work-at-home stuff - and now, with the grades posted, the turn-in-laters and never-did-its are flooding me with email. 2. Dry laundry put-away 3. Laundry #2 hung up or put in dryer 4. Swept porch 5. Swept walkway 6. Swept off car TO DO 1. Start laundry #3 2. More work-at-home: tomorrow's quiz and a mini-lesson for all levels of Spanish (because all I have available is old lessons that I can possibly convert to the new format... help!) 3. Make lunch and yes, something HOT!

oust I like your affirmation! Good job on dish-washing and sweater hanging. TA-DAH 1. Started laundry #3 2. More work-at-home, which took so much more time than I thought it would! 3. Ate a hot dinner, since lunch was passed. TO DO 1. Put away dry clothes 2. Move furniture 3. Put up tree (even if not decorated tonight)
