It's time to move. Really, I've wanted to move for the past 2+ years. I was all set to start working to pay off the debt and build the down payment fund, then covid happened. My daughter did school from home and things stopped. Mostly barely doing maintenance. We decided it's time to sell our rental. Lucky for us, our friends who manage it, want to buy it. So, no realtor fees and we can sell as is. Yay! It may take a while, which is fine. It gets appraised first. The friends are handling that. I do better at getting things done when I interact with others. Thus, I am chronicling this journey. I really don't want to move trash, and I really don't want to do "last minute toss it in a box and deal with it later". Otherwise the result is likely not much progress, panic packing, tears, crankiness, or even worse. Given my past history, I am not too likely at actually deal with it later. Been there, done that, no plans to repeat. Later is Now. First, focus on my health. Without health, energy and mental clarity, progress grinds slowly - if at all. Health1. Morning and periodic stretching 2. Focus on Nutrient dense foods 3. Brush and Floss often 4. water 5. aim for 2 cups of veggies daily, have carrots by computer for absently munching 6. walk a mile on the treadmill/ walk outside 7. 30 min on bike 8. mild weight lifting 9. standing abdominal workout 10 meditate Moving house action steps1. Focus on Goal to go through everything we own, evaluate and deal with it. List top 5 things to handle each day. 2. 30 min cleaning Kitchen daily 3. 30 min decluttering daily 4. tackle one drawer or shelf hopefully daily (some areas will take more that one day) consistently doing it 5. Play music or you tube tutorials while working 6. Do the "A slob comes clean" method of dealing with one thing at a time, except for when doing step 4, because I am deep cleaning at the same time. Also check if things spark joy and how useful is it really. 7. Focus and work intentionally 8. start the running everything list 9. evaluate and plan next day each evening 10. Celebrate each and every progress/done stuff I am super excited to do this!

I was in a happy manic phase, where I can do everything and anything. That is good for brainstorming, coming up with plans, and getting some stuff done. Then, the depressive cycle hit, and it was hard to do anything, and I just wanted to cry. Fortunately, during that time, I was able to remember some of the action plan and do some small things. I constantly thought of my top 5 important to goal progression things.
I managed to sort and deep clean the silverware drawer with my delightful daughter's help. Still need to wash the excessive extra plasticware, ziplock bag it, stuff it in storage. (right now it's still sitting in 3 mugs on the Kitchen table)cleaned and put away, thanks my sweet girl
I finally made the labor intensive yet very yummy black eyed pea vegetable stew. And because I had cleaned the drawer, it was easy to get at and remember to use the right tools. yay. And it proved that while yes, I could do without some things, and hadn't used them in ages, they are useful and bring me joy. It also proved that I will use things, if I know where they are and can reasonably get them. It was a joy to use something "found".
The drawer's space is finite. Not everything useful can be crammed into the space and still have it useable. Limits for items that multiply are Necessary!! I made decisions on the limits. Food twisty ties, longer sturdy plastic twisty ties, the small flat plastic things with a notch cut, all are in separate small snack baggies. I kept the bigger sandwich bag of twist ties and put it in the back of the drawer, as I can't quite get myself to toss it yet.(It won't get packed, and I will use as needed, then definitely toss it with the final trash.) I decided to keep 10 each of plastic knives, forks and spoons. They fit nicely in a small, paper towel lined cardboard box that I made to fit the space. A few longer plastic spoons fit diagonally. No more plastic ware goes in unless some are used and tossed. Any used plasticware will be tossed from now on, unless it really makes someone happy. I am not washing any more, since I know I have more than enough and it is easy to get more.
I also managed to eat more good stuff before the sugar sabotage. i.e. peanut M&Ms, chocolate chips, baked deserts, gummy bears
I stretched more, and a few times rode my exercise bike for 30 min.

Starting a 30 min walk for 100 days, 10 consecutive days at a time, 10 min at a time I have also requested DH to hide the treats out of sight, preferably out of easy reach. He says, when I ask for my yummies, he will put them down on the treadmill. This morning top 5 1. church 2 shower 3 hair colored 4 30 min walk (first 10min done)5 30 min bikedone Turn Goals into questions and write 20 ways to help achieve those goals How can I walk for 30 min each day for 10 days? 1. split it into 3 10 min sessions 2. listen to music 3. call someone 4. listen to motivational vid 5. Watch weight loss stories 6. write reasons this will help me 7. post the reasons this will help me 8. check in daily here and say if I did it or not 9. write down the potential obstacles and solutions 10. have a cheerleader 11. watch other people completing extreme walks 12. do some early in the morning 13. walk before meals 14. walk before bed 15. walk with someone 16. look self in mirror and proclaim "Today I walk 30 min!" 17. Proclaim "I conquer all obstacles that impede my walk" and slay them and pound them into the ground 18. mix up the walk with skips, jumps, side, backwards, wiggle walk 19. crawling counts 20. Just WALK 21. find a scenic route 22. sing 23. dance 24. write cheerleader scriptswow, that was a bit harder than anticipated. The first 7 were easy, at 12 I thought I might have to say I will come back to this, at 16 I dug in and was determined to finish, at 19 I got nothing thought some more. Yay done and now my brain keeps giving me answers, just like it should
