I'll play because I'm unpacking my DM's stuff that came over here in January. I'm also preparing to move back to our office in about 5 weeks. Yesterday the 17th 1) one small bin of recycling to the big bin 2) one garbage bag to the big bin 3) 10 gallons of compost to the service that picks it up weekly 4) Unused monitor, printer, phones, desk chair as well as the dolly to move it all around back to the office. Along with a shopping bag of odds and ends. 5) Half a shopping bag of shredding to the big bin for the quarterly service pick-up Wow - did more than I thought - thank you Serendipity Makes you feel good!!

Great Serendipity - it feels so good to get things on the move!! Forgot what has been done since I last posted Off the top of my head: 3 full car loads (trunk and back seat) to donation 1 full car load to a family in need Many full recycling and garbage containers - this last weekend I had two full recycling and one full garbage bin to the street. 10 gallons of compost out every week which represents a clear out of fridges, freezers and pantry. Unpacked all my DM's boxes so I have a huge supply of boxes and wrapping paper sitting in the back of the truck waiting for pick-up. Another 2 or 3 paper grocery bags full of shredding to the office. Three boxes of stuff gathered up for shipping to a friend - maybe this week? Checked with multiple family members on give away for things that have arrived in the house from DM. I like looking at that list of done

Things from the house and things from the garage and the yard out the door and out the gate! Unfortunately our charity shops are not open and are not taking donations either, so no donations of that sort. 'Donations' for the recycling centre included cardboard, contents from the guttering around our roof, broken plastic boxes, duvets, sheets and pillows. I thought the recycling centre had special containers for bedding, but when I went there a couple of days ago, one of the guys working there just directed me to the general household bin with them. I have more stuff in the car waiting to go. I have to be careful about what disappears from the house and garage as dh is very stubborn about what should go - was asking the other day where all the towels had gone - they were in holes.

This thread motivated me to finally get some electronics off of a desk/floor, to the car and delivered in to town for recycling. Gone are 2 DVD players including cables, one 19 inch computer monitor, 1 keyboard, 1 computer mouse

Got the trash out before the scheduled pick-up, running for the last few items as they turned to back into my driveway. Out the door: 1 wine bottle I used as a rolling pin 2 full bags of fridge clean-out and emptying smaller bins into larger kitchen bag. Went through bathroom vanity for expired and unused products. Claimed amnesty by not emptying out containers completely. Transferred hand soap from large container to refill smaller hand soap containers and recycled large container. Went through Amazon packaging and separated and recycled what could be recycled. Took larger cardboard boxes to transfer station site. This all had been sitting for quite a while. I have an issue with "sunk costs" and though I understand the money is already spent, I am hoping I will eventually use it up. Not doing that anymore.

Well done Serendipity! That's a lot of stuff OTD!
Recently I got rid of duvets and pillows as well as the usual cardboard boxes that pile up in the garage. Also deposited some clothing in a charity bin in the car park at a local supermarket. Our eldest, who is with us for the weekend, has taken another load of miscellaneous items to the recycling centre.

Well done Serendipity and gillian! I took a few books to the neighorhood library box. Donated a book to a naturopathy clinic. Tossed some food and supplements. Sorted and tossed a small pile of papers.

3 bins (green, trash, recycling) to the street for morning pickup, including a 25 pound bag of rancid rice.
edit: topped off this morning with one box of really old pasta, and one rancid bag of corn meal, both unopened.
