Decluttered 15 things. Pulled dandelions for several minutes; only one had a bud, but that will change this week, I'm sure. Took out some recycling. Write out questions for next week's phone calls. Spend extra time on paper processing. Sweep corners and mop kitchen floor.

Good morning all. done -laundry stuff -open windows and blinds, turn off overnight lights. -brief pupa I went into the 'formal' dining room and looked to see what needed doing to make it better. This room doesnt have much natural light - 1 window looking at the front street. I've tried to convert it into a library or other usage room (storage), but the only thing it seems to be good for (besides hoarding ) is artsy projects. Eating at a table occurs in a brighter, far more pleasant room next to a window overlooking the side yard. -clear table top except for to-be-used items. -better organize remaining Amazon boxes, or move to different room - I like to keep some to hold donations, etc. -bundle cables and take to garage

BetsyMarie. I love when people use rooms in the way that suits it for them whether or not it is conventional. My parents didn't have a downstairs "bedroom". It was just the two of them. They had a living room which was in a corner off the front door. That became their bedroom. The formal "dining room" became a "living room". DM said it forced her to keep her bedroom tidy and the bed made because it was always visible . Their kitchen was an eat in kitchen and they had a built on room (originally built for my invalid grandmother) that later became a family room. That held a formal dining room table with leaves placed against the wall. Normally it sat 2 all folded down. Raise one end and it sat 4. Fully expanded it could seat 8-10 easily which was only needed occasionally. Now that I think about it all - amazingly practical choices on their part! Long winded answer that I think it is great you are thinking outside the box on your so called dining room. Library does sound nice

phoenixcat Like your parents, I like using rooms for other than what they were originally designed for. That makes a house more livable. I have one bedroom which has been a laundry room/walk in closet for years - right across the hallway from the washing machine. Once I converted the living room (which is never used) into a brighter dining room, but that didnt work. The possibilities are many, and the only real draw-back for experimenting is having to move the furniture.... Right now, I'm thinking the dining room is going to be a craft room -which is what I've been using it for unofficially. It's got a nice sturdy table, is near the kitchen if I'm cooking or need water, is relatively cool in summer, and is near where various supplies are kept. And if I dont like it, I can change it again. Eventually it would make a grand library. A future owner could install wonderful bookcases against a tall wall the length of the room. That would be impressive. Done: -cleared more of the dining table -bundled up long cables and moved next to garage door -re-located Amazon boxes to out-of-the-way -miscellaneous pick-up, put-away, including trashy bits. todo -more re-arranging things in dining room - it's got potential -vacuum under table -laundry task

My last house, the front bedroom was my tiny living room, and the huge 23' front room (you know those houses where the liv rm and dining room are one big room?-like that. Common in Craftsman style) was my sewing room.
Worked for me. Never got to goal, but I was Working on it.
Sun TaDa 2nd purge of flowers friend brought me several days ago. Trimmed what's left shorter
Was going to have tuna salad sandwich, but the bread no longer smelled like bread. Ate it with a spoon.
Folded sheets
Now that all the linty laundry is done, Swiffered bath, laundry room, and middles of bedroom Gathered bath, bedroom, library, living room, diningroom trash. Tied K bag shut.
Showered Dressed
