goldenthreads . How nice to get everything unpacked and put away so quickly! I worked again in a back room. Getting good things done. As I mentioned, the items are not particularly difficult to deal with, and part of what makes them relatively easy is there are now available places in the house to put 'keepers', as well as places and system to dispose of culls. And an easy to navigate vacuum (lots of clear floor) to clean up after I go through an area. done: -another good declutter session in back room -got mail -hung damp laundry todo: -get ready for bed -more declutter tomorrow -dishes tomorrow

Good morning, everyone. I was watching a video this morning by Andrew Mellen. I'd forgotten about him till a video popped up on YouTube. One thing that resonated is the concept of 'story' regarding items that are difficult to deal with. The item itself is just an item as it is - a piece of paper, a hunk of wood. It's the story around it that makes things pertaining to it difficult. 'Story' such as 'Mom made this', or 'it's worth $10', or 'I'll never have another', or 'I found/bought this on vacation in NY' or 'this might come in handy some day'.... It's the story about the item that makes getting rid of it more difficult. Some stories are worth saving, many others are not. I write this to remind myself... Done: -up, windows and blinds open, lights off -watched A.Mellen video -made and enjoyed cocoa todo: -declutter session in back room -'donate' to car -laundry

It's the story about the item that makes getting rid of it more difficult. Some stories are worth saving, many others are not. Oh, I like this! If we have this in mind, we can ask ourselves if we really need 10 copies of "Mom Made This" or 100 copies of "This Might Come in Handy Someday" stories. Personally, I have a lot of "My Sweet Little Child (which one?) Drew This" and "This Old Banking/Investment Statement Has Unspecified Future Use but Necessary Information" stories. Good morning, all! Had about nine hours of sleep, and I'm a new person. Yesterday: Emptied my full shredder. Started today seeing the neighbor shoveling our sidewalk, and chatting with the landlord. Started dishes soaking. Make bed, have water and meds. PUPA 5 minutes. Get dressed.
