Aaaand I've lost my glasses. Did I wear them at all this morning, or was last night the last time? Clearly it's time to have only one designated spot in each room. I've been using a flashlight, and so far all I've discovered are places that I hadn't thought to dust. Oh, gosh. I hate chigger bites. I've never lived where they are, but I have visited those places. It's amazing how long the itch remains, and how viciously I want to scratch to make it go away. Commiseration, gaylem. Dried and put away dishes. Did some more entries in journal. Closed the boxes, make some neat stacks, and decided on next area (closet floor). Shower and get dressed. Get a new doctor and make medical appointment. Remake the bed. Get caught up on health journal. Do some online shopping for gifts. Finish doing the financial thing that I started.

goldenthreads - did you find your glasses? Did you look on your head? That's where mine always are!! I'm making a late start. I'm not in the mood. I realized yesterday that part of the problem is I'm not busy at work. Instead of resting, I just take more time ... gotta fix that somehow. 1. Email 2. Customer Service 3. Check followup

Good morning, guys and dolls! erniethecat that's Parkinson's Law: work expands to fill the time allotted. Your realization is such a coincidence because I had a similar conclusion while I was too sick to do much. TA-DAH 1. Dressed and fed 2. Bed made 3. Shredded old docs 4. Ran dishwasher 5. Set up paper bag for recycling scraps 6. Ran errands TO DO After a lot of thought and prayer - and a visit to the still-closed donation center - I will be tossing the following: 1. Funeral cards, medals, etc. that no one else wants, either 2. Handmade gifts I don't like and no charity wants, either. 3. Recipes I don't use, print-offs of plans I haven't used, etc.

No, erniethecat , I haven't found my glasses. It's a bit urgent, because I'm going to go on a trip, so I need a replacement. I needed a new prescription anyway, so I guess this is my push. Still have the prescription sunglasses, but they're no good for night driving or rainstorms. Weighed in, and took BP. Started dishes soaking. Called optometrist and optical department; optometrist is closed today, and the opticians say turnaround time would be about a week. Maybe I should try Lenscrafters, too. Get a new doctor and make medical appointment. Remake the bed. Get caught up on health journal.
Do some online shopping for gifts.

missjean I have been tossing a lot of what is on your todo list. I have often declared I am not overly sentmental but my clutter proves otherwise. Discovered I can listen to morning news/videos while going thru photos. Was I ever 12 years showing off my fish catch or 14 in a swimsuit? My photos bring back good memories but still toss them. Might scan a few. cleaned table fan, probably donate vacuumed dining area now that cleared floor Tossed most of photos box, sorted 1940's mother's love letters, viewed tossed most slides started with 10 office paper boxes of photos, consolidate contents cleared one, down to 7 email, litter boxes, cancelled eye appointment on phone dishes, walk dog, chk mailbox, watermeter hip exercises clean one ceiling fan (does not work but dusty again) update medical journal try body resistance exercises - 5 mins

Washed dishes. Not so much doing, as thinking and noticing: I wanted to charge my phone on a portable charger since I'm going out soon. I pulled out the charger, thought how I hated the short, stiff cable, and wondered if my little bag of rarely used cables contained the good one I'd lost. It did! Not lost. (And now it's taken me longer to type this than it did to accomplish.) Looked up Lenscrafters, and found an office that will probably work. Get a new doctor and make medical appointment. Remake the bed. Get caught up on health journal.
Do some online shopping for gifts. Get dressed. Call Lenscrafters for turnaround time; I know I can get an appointment fast.

gaylem you're really encouraging me. I feel obligated to use certain things or, at the very least, keep them until I die. goldenthreads I'm glad you found your good charger cable. Here's hoping you get new glasses promptly. TA-DAH 1. Threw out or recycled lots of things I listed 2. Put dry dishes away 3. Stapled/filed papers 4. Shredded more 5. Cleaned out "work purse" and put away in closet 6. Put essentials in small purse TO DO 1. Clear the rest of the dining table WITHOUT putting anything into a random box! 2. Laundry 3. Vacuum & dust
