PS, I only hope you'll use your brilliant plotting for good, not evil...
I had a little more trouble with the second light fixture, it took a few tries to get the second side in, it's almost like something is slightly off with the end part on one side. But I got it in, everything about it looks normal now, and it's working. This should give the plants a boost, apparently fluorescent lights lose their brightness after a while so for plants you have to replace them even though they haven't burnt out yet.
That's two more steps done on my plant room project!
Next:
Take dog out and feed her Change bird bath, check plants 10 minutes on 1st floor 10 minutes on plants

Hello weekend workers!! I can't believe it's Sunday!! We had a good trip out of town. We left Thursday afternoon and arrived home late yesterday afternoon. 2 nights is just right for my crew. My son is the "Are we there yet? How much longer?" kid, so driving with him is a little tiring. Our drive was about 2 hours each way. We also took a drive to the beach on Friday to meet up with my sister who lives there. It's about a 1 hour drive each way. Due to multiple things going on in her house, we just parked at the boardwalk/beach entrance and met up with her. My husband took the younger kids down to the beach. I thought my 22 yo daughter with Down Syndrome might like walking on the boardwalk that leads to the beach, but as soon as she got out of our car and saw her Auntie, she hopped into her car! She used to go places with her Auntie on the weekends and and even would stay with her a few days when she was younger. So we just hung out and talked - I never even really SAW the ocean. I mean you can see it from afar. That's okay though, I was most excited to see my sister. We took the kids to a park down the street for a bit too. We had plenty of relaxing at my mom's other house, but of course it was still work! I was the meal prep person, laundry lady and dishwasher. We had several loads of laundry to do before we left yesterday. We had 4 beds to strip and make! K's bed we brought her own bedding and bed protective mattress covers, but with the old washer in the house it took 2 loads to run all that! Mom has ordered a new washer/dryer but they won't come until Sept! This set is OVER 20-25 years old! It was my Grandma's set that she left with the house when she sold it 13 years ago! So it has the agitator in the middle and just doesn't hold a lot. My mom said we didn't have to do any of the beds. Well that seems pretty awful to leave 4 beds to deal with! K's bed was easiest -- the bedding was clean as we pulled off and put in closet. We got the master bed done so they have a place to flop when they get back this coming Friday. Most of the beds have 2 sets, but one of them did not and my husband was cussing a lot trying to get a different double set on that bed. So we only left one bed unmade and had a load of bedding in the dryer and one waiting for her to wash.
I did myself a favor when we got home last night. We brought home all our dirty clothes in one suitcase. So I started most of those -- most were darks. And we unpacked and put away all our clean clothes, all our stuff, the bags, even the cooler. So no extra stuff sitting around for 2 weeks waiting for me to tend to.
Ta Da Sunday AM Unload dishwasher & load Strip K's bed and make Start k's bedding in washer Enter weekend receipts into checkbook & balance A couple FB posts - party groups
To Do Rotate laundry Fold load darks K's May & June receipts - spreadsheet Contact party guests for party my friend did this last week - reach out for any orders or bookings Put away groceries - should arrive soon Father's Day gift in sack for step-dad (dinner with them tonight)

Good afternoon Angie! It sounds like you had a good, but busy vacation, do you now need another vacation to rest?
I'm eating lunch, and going over some financial stuff. Since it seems like it won't be too much longer before the lawyer gets the money from my sister's bank account, I'm trying to get a closer idea of how much it's going to cost me to live in this house. It's impossible to figure exactly because I have very rough estimates for some of the utilities, I don't know how much my supplemental health insurance will cost me (I'm eligible for Medicare in October!) and of course I don't know what other repairs the house will need or vet bills I will have. My only income is Social Security, so I will have to live on my savings--that means I will have enough for a certain number of years--how many depends on these expenses that I can't pin down yet.
But, I think that's enough sobering research for one day.

Hi Diane! Yes it's tiring going on vacation. I am thankful that I still have this week off! I took last Monday through this Friday off -- only 28 paid off hours needed to get 12 days straight off. It's nice only working 4 days a week/20 hours, but of course my paycheck is small. My husband took 1 weeks paid off with his weekends he got 9 days off but he goes back tomorow.
Good job looking at some of the financial stuff. I know it's quite a lot to handle emotionally and mentally!

Most days I have to watch K's bedding. This is just life here! But with 5 people, we always have a ton to do. I did catch up for the most part here before we left --- only had 1 set of our sheets and a few towels to wash. I am going to work on other beds this week. My big goal is to put the 15 yo in charge of HER OWN starting this week. I waited until school was out so I didn't hear whining about how busy she is. hahaha!! Nice to get out to the family birthday dinner. I'm glad it wasn't too bad under the tent. My mamas birthday is tomorrow. We will see her tonight for Father's Day, but I don't have her gift. Dang Fedex is jerking me around again! They have had boxes of mine at the distribution center where our delivery trucks come from since Thursday and yesterday -- and the latest notice I have is they "should" be delivered by tomorrow evening. *sigh*

MamaAngie - my DD is doing her own laundry part-time -- when I do laundry I always offer to add hers - but she started doing her own as I was so stressed with puppy, laundry was lagging. for my work at home life, it was ok for me, but DD is very into fashion and was attending school, so she just started doing it. it is a BIG help! I have been very l a z y today! I have been texting and facebooking, and I have gone to the backyard several times to toss a ball for the pup, but it is so hot. so we just do a bit then both seek the cool haven of my AC'd house. I have a tile floor in my kitchen that is very soothing to the animals on hot days, as it is so cool all year round. A pain in winter but a boon in summer. OK now I am going to do financial paperwork. I used to love doing it pre-pandemic! Now it is a chore. Pre-pandemic I took DD to a study thing every Saturday for one hour at our library. While she did that, I would set up shop at a table by the fireplace there with a drink and just work on financial paperwork. It was a weekly pleasant time (I love the library!) that ended abruptly with covid. and then along came puppy and I have to admit I have chalked up too many late fees!!! ugh. so I have a box of paperwork next to me. Must. do.

I just talked to my shopping friend, now that we only talk twice a week each call is a couple of hours--it's still less time than talking almost every day, though.
The rain that was supposed to come doesn't seem to be coming--a big area on the radar picture seemed to break up completely before it reached us--I don't know if more storms will pop up but as of now there is nothing visible. I was really counting on the rain for the garden, too.
I'm going to eat dinner now.

I truly hate doing this assessment! I think it used to be yearly and now they've bumped up to every 6 months. But I am thankful you can work on it and stop anywhere and come back and start where you left off. My goal is to get it done before tomorrow. I know the supervising therapist will ask me about it on Tuesday if I haven't completed it.
Ta Da 2 more sections done of Vineland Assessment - 6 out of 10 done K's May & June receipts - spreadsheet SHOWER (yep ... it's just one of those days!) Fold & put away load darks Fold load bedding Swap loads Put together items for my sister (for her to do samples with her biz too) Placed biz supply order
To Do 4 sections of Vineland Assessment (for son)
Okay --- so now I just have this assessment to finish on my TO DO. We have 1 hour until we leave for Father's Day dinner at my mom's house. I am going to try to do another 1 or 2 sections.

I think I would prefer 2 times a week rather than daily for sure! That is a long call though. We had rain a couple days last week -- last weekend if I recall. Now it's just hot and getting hotter. It's mid 90's today and supposed to be hotter tomorrow. Where we went for 2 days was a in the low 70's which was perfect for me!
