Thanks for the welcome! mouseanne what knitting have you been doing? I love to crochet but just canβt seem to knit anything as I canβt get the tension right. Working in 3s has helped me out today., I managed four lots of 3 to-dos and edited my original post to reflect the ta-das as I went along. I liked this way of working, it spurred me on so I could come back and change my list from things to do to things I had done. For now I am finishing up for the evening and will come back tomorrow. Have a great rest of day!

ToDo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hmmm, I COULD go get a donut. Kinda looks like a non sequitur, but I'm pretty sure everyone understands the impulse. I also count things as out when they're in the car, in the file for shredding, etc. I just don't change my mind, and they will go soon. Hi, wildpony. Sorry about the shift change. I know those transitions are disorienting. Hope your breakfast and shower were invigorating or at least helpful! Bedroom: dusted and ran Roomba. Washed dishes. Made bed, and had meds. Order gifts. Find a different branch of the store for the flash drives; someone beat me in the queue, apparently, and now it's on me again. Pick up the flash drives. Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower and dress.

Apologies to mouseanne . I'm correcting (I think) her link to the crafters' thread. Go to the last few pages of this, Glebe Gets Serious , in order to see what she's been knitting. takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/thread/28033/crafty-bits-more-happy?page=107 Put away dry clothes. Got rid of the bags that the new clothes came in. Ran Roomba on the walk-off mat that I rarely bother with. Then I took it outside to beat it, followed by picking off the last few clingy bits of grass and such. Order gifts. Find a different branch of the store for the flash drives; someone beat me in the queue, apparently, and now it's on me again. Pick up the flash drives. Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower and dress.

goldenthreads, if the donut got me outta the house, I could drop the recycle by noon. Also, I count it as a plus if I don't skip weekend meals until 4:00 pm or 8:00 pm. Even a donut. I didn't leave, for the donut OR the recycling. TaDa Before noon, had a carnation instant bfast Timer challenges 30 min fold put pile on bed, pjs, bras, pantyhose, donor shirts, bath towels, took 28 45 min bath clean, 2 sessions, took 29 Thanks so much for correcting that link, goldenthreads. I didn't think to test it.

π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘πΆ Aha! It wasn't a substitute for action, it was a motivator for action! Thanks for explaining what I was so sure I understood. Back to it. I need a donut stand-in or true belief in virtue being its own reward. Oops, don't want to be judgy, even of myself.

or true belief in virtue being its own reward. Oops, don't want to be judgy, even of myself. True, that. A lot of us here are pretty damaged. Recovery takes focus. Whatever motivation we use that helps us get any job done, IMHO, is acceptable. You know, that doesn't harm others. Donut counterproductive? Sure, in the grand scheme. Am I overweight? Yup. I still eat donuts. Personally, I can do one major overhaul at a time. Right now, it isn't weight. No, goldenthreads, I didn't take anything personally, as directed at me. No apologies, please, we're completely good. For example, I drink alcohol. I never say here, I'm taking a beer or margarita break. That could hurt someone, who's fighting that hard fight. If a candy bar or soda pop run helps SusieQ drop her donations that she really doesn't want to give up, then, Susie, go for that Almond Joy, babe! Virtue is it's own reward. Yea, sure. But, if that isn't gonna do the trick...find something that does.

So discombobulated that I started drinking a seltzer, forgetting that there was just-brewed tea waiting for me. Yes, I'd made it a couple minutes before. Rant on Item 2: Made lunch. Not normally noteworthy, but today I had a banana to stave off hunger, and set the timer for 5 minutes to see if I could beat it. Well, it took 20 minutes, but I was so looking forward to that tasty salad that I kept going. This was a rare event. , and also YUM! (On line) Found the right type of flash drives at my local store, but, darn it, it took a lot of time. You'd think "USB-C flash drive" is limiting, but noo ooooooo. My search results showed 488 flash drives, most of which were not what I'd specified. So I finally picked a brand that I knew had some of the right type, found what I wanted on page 2, ordered it, and it was ready for pick-up within a minute. Dang, I feel crabby. Now I need to go to the store and get it and remember to return yesterday's wrong version (in purse now). Got dressed; shower will wait. Order gifts. Pick up the flash drives.
Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower.
