Picked up the correct flash drive. The cashier handling the returns asked the reason why, and he understood immediately. I wish he'd been there yesterday to find the right thing in the first place. Pedaled. Folded and put away clothes from drying rack. Order gifts. Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower.
Dust and vacuum kitchen and bathroom. Sleep and get over today's irritations.

Thanks for the link to the craft thread. I love crafting but currently can’t access or can’t find most of my craft projects or resources. Yesterday As I dusted the bookshelf where I store some of my sewing books I thought about how nice it will be when I have enough room to get my sewing machine out and start a new project. Today, I have a couple of aims. 1. To do a couple of loads of laundry and take them to the laundrette to dry in the tumble driers. 2. To work towards clearing a section of my bedroom so I can access the wardrobe to put away clean clothes. " 1. Get dressed, brush teeth etc. 2. Run dishwasher. 3. Put 2nd load of laundry into the washing machine. ( also filled one bag with rubbish from the bedroom whilst waiting for the 1st load of washing to finish) 1. Fill 1 rubbish bag with rubbish. 2. Take filled rubbish bags to the dumpster including emptying the kitchen bin. 3. Fill another rubbish bag with rubbish. 1. Fill a bag with rubbish. 2. Move the Lego into the sitting room for now. 3. Put suitcase away. 1.Take 2 bags of rubbish & broken fan to the dumpster. 2. Put clean washing into bags to take to the laundrette to dry. 3. After lunch dry washing at the laundrette 1. Pack up 4 parcels to send tomorrow 2. Empty the dishwasher 3.put away clean clothes in wardrobe.

Had a good night's sleep. Good morning/afternoon, Glebe Gets Serious. Dang, I have a problem. My laptop is not taking a charge, and I have 13% left. Gotta copy a few things onto my flash drive, and then see how soon I can get this serviced. Watered garden; did weeding. Had breakfast. Had meds. Order gifts. Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower and dress.
Dust and vacuum kitchen and bathroom. PUPA 5 minutes. Make bed, take meds.

Hi goldenthreads. I’m glad that you managed to get your laptop charged, it causes me such panic trying to access something desperately before the charge runs out! At least you were spared that today. I have had the same thing happen to two different laptops in the past. They both started to only charge sometimes and then eventually they wouldn’t charge at all. One time it was actually just the charging cable and the 2nd time the port that the charger connects into had come loose and wasn’t connecting properly. Both were quite easy fixes. Hope yours is just as easy to sort out.

Glebe Gets Serious , I believe the computer problem is serious. I've had an alert for a long time saying that it would need service, and now it says Service Recommended. The flash drive and charger cable were actually a little hard to insert this morning, so my fear is that the battery is swollen. I'm planning on a replacement. I've had a brief period of regret and kicking myself, but now I just need to concentrate and organize myself mostly with paper and such. Did a load of laundry. Paid CC bill. Started dishes soaking. Transferred clothes to dryer and rack. Washed dishes. Made an appointment with computer repair place for tomorrow. I'm going to spend hours tomorrow going to various appointments. Order gifts. Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower and dress.
Run Roomba in kitchen and bathroom.

Well, the laptop is back to not taking a charge, so I think I'd better sign off and save it for absolute essentials until it's fixed. 14% charge right now. Ta-ta, WITs and SOoS! Put away most of the dry clothes. Other stuff... Some more tasks... Order gifts. Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower and dress.
Run Roomba in kitchen and living room. Transfer appointments and such from computer to paper planner. Talk to daughter about tomorrow's logistics.

Apparently I can't stay away! The computer finally decided to accept charging, it's now at 100%, and I'm going to keep it plugged in until I leave tomorrow on errands. Put away dry dishes. Composed and sent a long email to a bureaucracy. Fixed a computer problem. (I'd upgraded my operating system, but my email system wasn't showing my gmail, so I finally got it to accept it.) Order gifts. Do a bunch of the weekly cleaning. Shower and dress.
Run Roomba in kitchen and living room. Transfer appointments and such from computer to paper planner. Talk to daughter about tomorrow's logistics.

Good morning all!
Yesterday I woke up frustrated that I have been avoiding the inevitable decluttering of my home. I know it needs to be done, and on some level I want to do it. I just don't want to buckle down and face all of the decision making that needs to be done. I don't want to face the emotions, the regret... Yesterday I vowed that I would do something that would make a difference. I searched around this site, and found that someone had started a group, going through the book "Buried in Treasures", a book that I bought several years ago, and never read. It is buried somewhere in my house. I had an unused B&N gift card, so went online and bought the Nook version. I read the first 5 chapters, and started participating in the group discussions. I'm caught up, as they are starting chapter 6 currently.
ta-da's: Took out watermelon rinds to chickens and the other kitchen scraps to the compost bin Made and ate breakfast Started making yogurt
to-do: One of the assignments from the book, was to go around and take "before" pictures of your home. I need to do this. Another assignment was to pick some things to discard, and answer questions about the thought process and emotions involved. Maybe I'll start in the kitchen, Photos, and then discard some stuff. I think I could use a cup of tea, so, I'll do that.

Good morning, Ally. I've been reading along on all the BIT threads, and it sounds much more applicable to more people than I would've thought from the title of the book. I am going to check it out from the library later this summer when I have more time. Sounds like a very worthy approach, and I wish you successes, great and small. Made list of stuff to take on my seven-hour errand trip today. It's either opportunity or ugh, so I'm choosing opportunity, although I'm feeling ugh about it right now. Had water and meds, and made bed. Started dishes soaking. Order gifts. Finish the weekly cleaning. Shower and dress.
Run Roomba in living room. Transfer appointments and such from computer to paper planner. Put away the rest of laundry that was pulled from the dryer. Pack for errands. Put away laundry from drying rack. Floss (I have a dentist appointment today). PUPA 5 minutes. Wash dishes.

ta-da's: Took a photo of my kitchen Spent 5 minutes clearing the counters. There is still much to do... but I started Made some tea... sipping on it now... to-do: Next step in yogurt making process... Complete 1st assignment in Chapter 6 regarding feelings and thoughts about discarding an item On to something else... goldenthreads, It looks as if you'll be out and about today. Have a good day! I need to make a dentist appointment soon. I tend to brush regularly, but floss rarely. I will start doing it regularly after a dentist visit, but within a month I usually stop. They usually don't comment, but the last few times I've gone in they have told me that I haven't been doing as good of a job. I need to do better.
