Questions of the day: Why is it that the gardeners I have lived with always grow so many zucchini plants? Is it because they like roaring success? Is it because they've forgotten that they'll be begging people to accept their gifts? Is it for the jungle-like foliage? Is it because they think this year will be the year that germination is only 20%? Or because they love the challenge of finding stealth zucchini before it becomes big enough to use as a baseball bat? Maybe my landlord senses that I need to finally clear out my freezer, and believes that all the squash on my counter and in the fridge will get the message through to me. I suppose it's time to start cooking, but that will require follow-up eating. Good morning, everyone! (Want some zucchini?) BetsyMarie Training session! We are all trainable. I know habits are important, but I like the idea of being in training better. I'm gonna go with that for a while. Yesterday: Wrote out the check payment. Wrote out the card. Ordered the refill. Put away dry dishes. Today: Weighed and took blood pressure. PUPA 5 minutes. Shower and dress. Purge the small box. Decide what to do with any keepers and do it. Put away dryer load. Errands: mail card and payment, go to pharmacy and grocery store.

goldenthreads The joke around my mom's old house is to keep car doors locked and windows up . Doesn't help if they know where you live - her porch always had a gift every time we returned from any outing. One of our favorites - www.skinnytaste.com/zucchini-tots/

todo: -check plants in containers in side yard -check plants in back yard -flush bird bath and refill

Another one of these up at 4:30 am mornings... TO DO: -- try to get back to sleep -- calm reading -- stretching TA DA: -- I got back to sleep around 6:15, but have been dragging around slowly all day -- stretched -- worked more on AQ and shared with colleague -- posted more things on fbmp; sold one within an hour (recalcitrant lawn mowers must be all the rage these days) -- put many clothing items (20+?), folded and in bags, separated by type, to donate to a local church that gives the clothes directly to those in need -- ate two relatively healthy meals -- paid DS's Fall semester bill -- empty/refill DW -- organized donations in vehicles TO DO: -- finish AQ and submit -- keep up with the never ending email -- try not to feel guilty for today's slow pace

one of my fondest childhood memories were the summer's at Grandma's house having fried squash and tomato sandwiches! Buttermilk and corn meal is all you need YUM!!!! Cornmeal? At first, I thought you meant ate with buttermilk and cornbread, but you mean dipped in buttermilk, dredged in cornmeal then fried? (Possibly in bacon fat?) Never had it, but it does sound tasty. TaDa after work Oops, just realized, never started the washer, another pair of less-comfortable unders tomorrow Ordered Rx early in day Groc shop, pick up Rx Dump groc on K floor Cleared a bit of the bar table Put some new (used) dishes on it, covered with dish towel Empty, load, run DW Tossed the melting contents of one fridge drawer, their aspirations have died Supper was 2 boxes of Marie Calendar, cheesy ckn rice, and Swedish meatballs/noodles Next up, wash out that fridge bin and wash under it, leaked all the way to the floor gah. LINE IT WITH WIDE FOIL Put some veggies away

This day was draggy and a downer. Proof that having a beer and going to bed late was a poor set-up for a cheerful, productive day. Tomorrow will be better. Put away dishes. Remembered something that I could try again. It used to be that when I had onerous desk-type tasks and couldn't function at home, I'd go to the library and work. I'd pack only what I needed and go. No distractions or temptations, and everything around me clean and organized. So a single good idea came out of my ruminations today. Getting ready for bed now. Shower and dress. Purge the small box. Decide what to do with any keepers and do it. Put away dryer load. Copy a file onto flash drive. Errands: mail card and payment; print out document from flash drive at Office Depot, go to pharmacy and grocery store. Do some work at the library.

I have been struggling with a bad back for the past few days which is really frustrating as I have time off of work for a couple of weeks and was really hoping to get a big amount of improvement in my home. I am going to try to get some stuff done today. Think I am going to focus in the kitchen as can lean on the counters and not to much walking around as it is small. Will see what I can get done gently with rest when needed.
To do
Done 1. Re-running the laundry that I left in the washing machine. 2. Put on dishwasher.
1. Fill bin bag with stuff from the box and put it outside the door for now. 2. Take dry clothes off of airer and put in the bedroom. 3. Wash, dry and put away freezer drawers.
1. Hang up laundry on airer. 2. Put towels on to wash 3. Clear one section of counter top and wipe down.
1. Clear shelf, wipe down and re-organise products on it. 2. Clear one more section of counter top and wipe down. 3. Give the sink a good scrub.
1. Wipe down half the cupboard fronts. 2. Organise herbs & spices storage 3. Scrub the hob top.
