Sometimes you have to just give up on finding perfect places for everything, get rid of it, and start fresh. Otherwise the things will never leave! Thank you!! I needed this

Shells, a lot of the time I can only plan for 10 minutes--sometimes I get lost in what I'm doing and do more, but not most of the time. And on jobs I avoid (like my fridge) I can only do 5 minutes! As long as it eventually gets done, I guess it counts.
Next:
10 minutes on paper 5 minutes on fridge Take a batch of stuff out to the compost bin Delete 30 emails

Sapphire, once you get things really organized, then you can set up whatever recycling/donation areas you want--after Covid. For now, it's holding you back--let it all go--you will feel free!

Dressed2shoes in workout clothes, brushed hair & put in ponytail. Tossed old workout top/bra from when I used to teach aerobics ... many years ago. The elastic was all completely messed up/worn out. Whelp... in order to do my exercises (the ones on the floor), I had to vacuum the den. Really, the floor was so bad, that I didn't want t lay on it. Before death of Puppy, she lost a ton of hair/fur. She had been so unwell... we had only vacuumed a little. While I was at it, I also vacuumed the hallway. This vacuuming was very difficult for me because I kept thinking of Puppy.... Before vacuuming though, I had to empty the very full canister. Yucky. Emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag Did back exercises including crunches/planks. 30 crunches, 9 10 second planks & 1 30 second plank) Also, did pushups, dips, and squats. Didn't do lunges. 40 push-ups (10 reg. floor done imperfectly, 10 bent knee done imperfectly, 20 wall), 20 squats, 38 dips (1 set of 10, 1 set of 17, 1 set of 11) I'm writing detail of the exercises so I can gradually improve.... Wow! It's been so long and I was really sweating! Stretched out afterwards. CD

Wow cando, good for you for getting the exercise done. I can't even get myself to do my simple stretching exercises lately, let alone exercise that is hard work!
I am now going to watch half an hour of a movie on DVD that I have to return to the library soon--I took out Dial M For Murder, a favorite of mine that I haven't seen in a long time. While watching I will try to do something constructive.

Well, I got the dishes washed up, except for two pans and went to start the dishwasher only to find it just hums. It won't actually run. It's very old and one of the ones that hooks up to the faucet. I guess I'll be taking all the dishes out and hand washing. Sigh.

Ok, I had to check what labor Day was, which led me down the Google rabbit hole to the Haymarket Riots etc ... Does anyone get a payrise on labor Day?
Today the seed box I'd been aiming to sort finally got done, and random old seeds will get sling all over the garden/allotment, they will probably just dry out or get eaten, but who knows what random stuff will emerge next year.. Also washing up. And decided that the area under the sink wasn't working, so re re re arranged this again ... Headed down to the river for a swim and spent far too long arguing with people on social media about women's rights in Texas⏳🤰 Somehow when there is work to be avoided the state of the world gets used as an ideal excuse to avoid what needs doing here. Anyway pleased with my haul of unwanted and old seeds

Sorry about the dishwasher shells, that's frustrating--will your building get you a new one?
Does anyone get a payrise on labor Day?
Ha ha, not that I've heard, although workers would love that idea! Out of all the paid holidays, I think Labor day is the one that people most take for granted, I don't think many people think about honoring workers on Labor Day, they just enjoy the day off!
Decade, maybe you can give me some advice--how do you keep your garden seeds for the spring? I know to make sure they're completely dry before storing, but do you use an airtight envelope? Or a glass jar? I've seen those little envelopes, I think they're called glassine--is that so they can breathe and stay dry? Or are they better off in an airtight container?
Today I saw that the lavender plant on my back porch has dried up and I'm pretty sure I can harvest some seeds from it. I already have seeds from a couple of other plants, they are just in open containers at the moment, I have to figure out how to store them for next year. I'm excited about the lavender, I can plant that all over the yard!
I'm eating dinner now, so I think I'm done for the day. I'm only half way through the fridge, I'll have to keep going on it tomorrow.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!

How it's going, Sapphire? OnTheMend You are really getting things done, quickly! Thanks! I didn't end up doing any of the things I listed in my last post last night, as it was late and I had an early day today. But I managed to make my home presentable in a short time, which was nice! ell done on what you have achieved here too! Well, I got the dishes washed up, except for two pans and went to start the dishwasher only to find it just hums. It won't actually run. It's very old and one of the ones that hooks up to the faucet. I guess I'll be taking all the dishes out and hand washing. Sigh. Bummer, sorry to hear this happened!

I woke up early today, it's a normal work day here. I did some more tidying, and at 9:30 the repair person came by, and fixed my window and balcony glass issues. It had started to be pretty messy here, but now I got things looking good again. Not perfect, but pretty good!
On my agenda today I have working on 3 appliations, paying bills, washing dishes, maybe a load of laundry, and if I manage, work on one other paperwork project. Oh and that manicure, still need to do that. ASAP, one of my nail is broken.

I slept badly last night, and found that after the repairs were done, I got irresistible tired. Unnaturally (for me) tired. So I think I will take a moment to drink water and coffee, make a nutritious meal, listen to cognitive behavioral theorapy audio book, and doing my simple manicure. I am planning having matte blue nails!

Hello OnTheMend, I'm glad your repairs got done!
I decided this morning to walk to the store that has the great produce. Not only did I need produce, I figured I could see if they had any kind of water that I would drink--well, they had only 2 kinds of water multipacks on the shelf, and one was Ice Mountain, the one I drink! So I got two 24 packs, even though it was hard to push them home in the sun and they were a little more expensive than usual. But I was very pleased to get them, so it was worth going. I also got some really good looking watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melon slices. And bananas, zucchini, carrots, flour tortillas and chocolate pound cake slices.
The walk there seemed so short and easy because the sun was behind clouds, but the walk home was warmer.
Now I need a rest.
