I just got through decluttering a whole bag of random papers stashed (by me during a company's coming over wild stash n dash)in my laundry room. I found a large bag out there that will help me in my decluttering efforts.

Need to claim amnesty on reading thread but hello all
Still in my molasses mode. Bring back in the office is just numbing me.
Was late for work today because I slept in because I fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 3:30 am. I went to bed and did drift off eventually.
Yesterday I left work a little early w time off to go to a DD game. We did not get home until nearly 8 pm. Poor puppy (I did a late lunch so she did have some outside time). She was just full of energy and do gracefully leaping and jumping in the yard like an antelope! We played some then I took her in a very long walk and let her sniff and explore away.
Paid two bills last night
Heard good news back from a scary text phew
I am rushing home for lunch for puppy but this is not sustainable for a long term model as I am not that close to my house. Not sure how we will solve —-when Dd sports ends it will be easier I hope. She will come home from school and not go to practice.
I am kind of a doom and gloom person at the moment. Yesterday night was a bit better after some fervent prayer. This is a hard transition! I need to remember that and give myself a break.

MamaAngie I hope that they do get a new driver to drive that route so that you eventually can give it a try, if that's what you want and need. Thank you goldenthreads . For now we will drive him. If things change we will try the bus again. He's been riding special busses since he was 3, so it is part of his routine. Last year we had some driving days due to the weird school schedule. But we want him to start his day out as positive as possible.

MamaAngie ...I hope the driver situation gets settled. We have such a shortage of bus drivers where I am that I am concerned about who they are hiring. I am sure it is the same here ohblondie. This guy says he's been driving special busses for years, but if that's the case, I would be surprised. I would say maybe he's drove for years. You need a totally different person and skill set to drive the big busses vs the smaller busses. And some kids are more challenging than others. Last year we had a rough time with the drivers, but we knew it was due to all the changes and we just did the best we could. But on day #2 of riding the bus that we had this encounter, I'm just not going to put my son or myself through the massive anxiety every morning and afternoon. Really if he had kept his mouth shut and just said "okay go take your seat" we would have been fine. My husband is being very supportive though and agrees although an inconvenience for us, this is the best choice for now.

MamaAngie sorry you have added stress! A district not too far from ours is having major shortages of drivers. I was so unproductive but I decided to tackle one project that I am the lead on. I had a list of pesky tasks. So I just decided to work on that project only. Researched an issues, sent emails, communicated priorities, and moved it nicely along Next do the lunch rush.

Oh my goodness - Now I am having a "molasses day". something all of a sudden hit me and I feel like I could put my head down on my desk and fall asleep!!
We have had the blinds closed in an attempt to keep the office cool (on this blistering hot days) but since today is cool and rainy - I decided to open the blinds and let the sun in. Hopefully that will help. We are under a boil water advisory in our town so I guess I will have to go buy a bo9ttle of water from teh vending machine. Maybe the water and a walk will help.

I am headed straight home after work. Blinders are on - no pit stops Upon my arrival at home - I will toss in a load of laundry (dark/cold to be line dried) Maybe I will rethink this and stop at the grocery store on the way home and get something decent to cook for DH for supper. Then hyper focus on gathering donations then a trip to the drug store to pick up meds for DF then visit with the folks. Last night as we were settling in for the night - I told DH we had to have a talk. A real serious talk - I think he was starting to get nervous. I told him that it was not fair he had the big closet which is 3x bigger than my closet when I have 3x more clothing than he does. I told him we needed to flip closets. I am not sure he bought my argument - yet. But I need to point out that our bedroom would be cleared out and ALL dressers fully accessible and he could get all of his clothes put away. I need to keep working on this. Maybe I will stop and get a really nice dinner!! !!!!!!

Good evening everypony!
Diane I hope the handyman got everything done without complication. Congrats on the boxercise class, that is awesome, ohblondie ! I find I start thinking about my list at night as well, so I've started to incorporate some capture and planning in my evening routine, which helps. Hope you can persuade your DH. Glad your DH got the all clear, womble ! Enjoy your bangers and mash, def6 . I can related to molasses mode, bree , I am in shock myself (just decided to buy an RV!) I can relate to the "one wrong sentence and all is lost" scenario MamaAngie with my Down's brother. fortunately for us, it doesn't cause meltdowns or anxiety for the future, just in the moment.
ha, I used the two-windows-open-so-I-could-remember-the-shout-outs method! now on to my post,

a cold front came through and now we have our first hint of fall. so gorgeous! I woke up very late to my neighbor mowing the lawn with his tractor. So I got dressed and went out to chat. Then he did some trimming with the push mower and then he blew the leaves!!! I am so fortunate!
I felt like I was drugged, not being able to get up until 3:00 pm, and then I remembered I took a sleep aid last night. (CBD) obviously too much too late! But its nice to feel rested. I have to be up early tomorrow; video appt at 10:00 and tdoc appt at 12:30.
DONE: coffee (1/2 and 1/2) checked online balance x2 checked email checked notifications and replied
I have a lot of things to get done before my trip to IA next week. My goal today is to get some clarity about that. Do laundry. Maybe deal with some yardwork. House needs dusting and vacuuming. And the weekly bathroom cleaning.

Well, another exhausting day with the handyman! BUT--he brought his roto-tiller, which worked like a charm--I now have 2 big swaths of cleared dirt, one on each side of the lawn, and one experimental 3x5 patch that he did out in the rocky area between the fence and the alley. He said the tiller felt like it was working the same in the rocky area, but as soon as he stopped and we looked, the entire area of dug up dirt was full of rocks. One side of the yard had a lot of rocks too, so I will have a lot of rock clearing to do in the next week. But, compared to the poor neighbor kid digging with his spade and twisty fork, this was like a miracle. It's like they always say, the right tool for the job makes a world of difference.
He also dug out a little circle for my birdbath, since the yard is so uneven and I've tried putting rocks and shims under it, but it always seems to tilt sideways. This way it's in a depression so hopefully will be more secure. It meant moving it a few feet away and I was afraid the birds would wait a day or two to return to it since it always takes them a while to adjust to any change. But it's been so dry here for so long, they were right back at the bath as soon as we left the yard.
And next week he's coming back so we can go to the home improvement store and look at "landscape timbers" for the edging. Because even though he dug down several inches, I'm going to have to buy some dirt, so these timbers will build up the edge a little bit.
I'm so happy with my cleared spots, I can just see the potential for next year's garden. I have to do some research and see what seeds can be planted this year.
He also installed a new dryer vent, and used his nifty mini-saw to cut up the falling apart wooden pallet that's been sitting in the yard all summer, so I can put the pieces in the garbage can little by little. He wanted to keep working, but I told him to go home at 1:30 because I was really tired--I can't stand on my feet for that long anymore, and I was helping with raking and picking up rocks so I was done for the day.
Then I came inside, made a sandwich and sat down in my reading chair, and about half an hour later my shopping friend called, we talked for an hour and a half. As soon as I put the phone down my decluttering client called.
The only other thing I did today was call the optometrist to make a Monday morning appointment to pick up my glasses.
Tomorrow I have to go to the library, and as soon as I come home, make 3 other phone calls to arrange appointments--one for blood work, one for the roofer to come out to clean the gutters and check the roof and give me a quote for chimney caps, and one to the furnace guy to install a new flue pipe.
Last week when the handyman was here doing touch-up painting around the front of the house, there was a huge spider in a web at the corner of the house, where some painting had to be done. So I picked up a twig and gently encouraged the spider to leave the web and hide in an underhanging part of the siding, and I had to clean the web away so the touch-up could happen underneath it. Well, today when we walked around to the other side of the house to do the dryer vent, the spider was back at the same corner and had completely restored his large web. I know it's the same one because he had a distinctive shape--I was glad to see we did not scare him away permanently!
I guess I'll make something for dinner now, I'm not going to do anything else productive today. I'll try to get a good night's sleep and work hard tomorrow.
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!
Diane

Diane! And good job keeping up on all of your home maintenance.
I posted over on the WIT thread. have gotten the laundry started. updated one calendar and made my next consignment appt. swiped two toilet bowls. did a few other things not on my earlier list.
I have not been keeping up with my penicillin. I need to set up some alarms or something. Or make a new check off list.
I have been stopping after about this much work for a while, but I would like to increase my stamina. Figure out tomorrow's outfit and pack, for sure. gather info for calls I need to make.

Scholar, I have a permanent reminder set on my cell phone for AM and PM blood pressure meds. Most of the time I remember without it, but at least once or twice a week I would totally forget if not for the reminder. Take advantage of your cell phone technology!
Well, I feel somewhat rested from yesterday, the night was very cool and that helped--it's still only 63 degrees, it feels heavenly. I'm eating breakfast now, it's still over an hour before I can leave for the library so I'll try to do a list before leaving.
