Last weekend as you may remember I had crying fit from over work at work once I realized Monday was a holiday and I had an extra day off. I then promptly went back to bed and slept most of the weekend and holiday. Just doing kitty care, calling Mom, and getting up to do self care with a tiny bit of house stuff using the BDG method as I did the kitty/self care.
Well this weekend I am doing better. I just ordered some breakfast from Irish restaurant- curbside to be picked up. The work overwhelm has shifted to another group that are working like crazy and over weekend nearly at 24 hours each day. The group (their group) that was driving us all crazy are now driving them crazy with suggestions of maybe we should meet to see how you are doing and for status updates if that would help. Finally the ones now under the spotlight were like βNOβ that is not going to help! Same as what we told them when they were on us. I nearly laughed when that group responded with βAre you sure it will not help?β And The person they were bugging was like βYES, I am positive it will not help as every time you interrupt me it makes things take longer!β I was like - EXACTLY!
So now I need to put my work work PTSD aside and try to focus on life and house. I will post some youtube stuff I am using that helps.
First up today is kitty care. I think kitties would pass out in shock if they were not first item on list. Then it is picking up breakfast. Not exactly health as i added some Irish bangers but it will be nice start for day.
Then I will eat breakfast and plan the next 4 days. I forgot to mention I am taking two days off on Monday/Tuesday. Of course work team stuck urgent must attend meeting on Monday but at least our group is finished and not the focus so I can call in and listen on vacation.

Thanks for starting us off TML!
We are babysitting DD's dog as she and fiance are camping this weekend. I do believe this dear dog got into something and promptly had a messy accident on the LR floor.
It was nice to wake up to two dogs trying to snuggle with me and lick my face. Not so nice to step in a mess......
Dogs have been outside and fed. Mess has been cleaned up. Dishwasher is running. Clean laundry is folded and put away Coffee and bagel consumed Now trying to figure out what to do next
I am picking up my mom at noon to go to her house and start clearing out more stuff. Most is getting packed up for a church rummage sale
Ok...this is precious time I am a wasting!!

Good morning TML!
I'm glad to see you back in normal mode! I'm glad someone spoke up and said the interruptions make everything take longer! I'm especially glad to see you're taking two days off--good for you! You'll be able to get a lot done in four days.
I slept late today, this is the second day in a row--yesterday it happened because the dog had to go out in the middle of the night and I couldn't fall back to sleep for 2 hours, this morning I think it happened just as catch up. I did wake up multiple times last night, but was able to fall back right away each time.
The high will be 90 both today and tomorrow, so no yard work, that means I need to catch up on things inside. I'm going to keep the plant(s) that the guy brought me in the pot they've been growing in, and put it in partial shade--I don't want to plant them when the sun will be brutal their first day in the ground. There are actually 5 plants in this pot, three are very small so they will be delicate.
For the last two days, every time I take the dog out, I have to rinse out the birdbath and put new water--they are using it like crazy, I guess because there has been no rain for such a long time. Every time I look out the back window there are multiple sparrows using it, it makes me so happy to see.
I'm just eating breakfast now, I will be back shortly with a list.

Morning ohblondie , Diane, and lennon ! I just got back from breakfast and worked on car while I was out and about. I keep a roll of black out bags in car - kitchen bags that are black. So they dont stand out against black floor mats but give me smaller bags to keep car trash under control. Car is not 100% but it looks okay. I am taking it into shop on Monday so want it to look good. Thus it will get several going overs this weekend to get it all looking great. I will take it out for wash and vacuum tomorrow. The 9-11 parade is getting ready to start today to honor all those who were killed during the 9-11 attack. I was watching part of set up while eating breakfast. First up is a combo - changing full shredder bag, then mail, bills, organizing of boxes/mail.

Good morning lennon!
TML, I didn't know kitchen size bags came in black, I've only ever seen white ones. I like black bags too because it's harder to see what's inside. Not that I care anymore, since I no longer have a communal garbage dumpster.
TO DO:
10 minutes on plants 10 minutes on paper Go through stack of new mail Delete 30 emails

I wanted to mention that I just finished a very thought-provoking book by Lionel Shriver. She's the author that wrote another thought-provoking book, We Need to Talk About Kevin. Anyway, the premise of the book is that a couple in their 50s, who saw parents die of dementia, make a pact that they will commit suicide together when they reach 80 years old, to prevent themselves from facing dementia or the need to see the other one develop dementia. Then the rest of the book is a dozen different possible endings to this story. Very cleverly written and imagined.

Diane this is what I get. They come in different sizes and cost. I like these with light fresh scent. Attachment DeletedThey help me keep car clean. Also the ultra strong so far have not leaked when i toss in my soda cup trash that may have melted ice and some leftover soda.

And they're Hefty brand, which should be sold all over--maybe I just never noticed them. Or else I saw they were scented and blocked them from my mind--I very rarely find a scented product that has a smell I can tolerate. Interesting. Now that I'm living in a place where plastic grocery bags are free again, (and now that I'm actually going to grocery stores again) I've been getting enough of those for my garbage. Nothing like getting free garbage bags, plus using up what would normally be thrown away. I put so much stuff into compost and recycling that my amount of actual garbage is pretty small.
