I did not do 10 minutes on the 1st floor. It's too hot outside and when I came in I just wanted to come up here and cool off. Oh, I can't wait for it to get cooler.

Diane, on the last weekday thread, megtreb has a question for you. (The last post.)
It's been cooler here. About 80. Thank god because we are still working hard to clear and clean mom's house. Almost done now. My brother and I are working together a lot of the time. Then go get something to eat.
My sister helps too, but she is handling all the paperwork.
I'm going to be sorry tomorrow morning because I was working bending over a lot today. π

Hello sue, thank you for letting me know about Megtreb, I sent her a personal message. As you might have seen, I never tag anyone (if that's what it's called) in posts so I messaged her directly since it's a past thread and I don't know how much she reads the work-alongs.
In case anyone else is interested, the plants I got are called purple loosestrife, but I should mention that they are considered invasive in a lot of areas. But the bees LOVE them!
I guess I'm done for the night, time to take the dog out.
See you all in the morning!

Yes, it's beautiful, but in our state it's classified as a noxious weed, and landowners have a legal responsibility to permit governmental weed control people onto their land to eradicate it. We're not allowed to buy or sell it, nor to encourage its propagation. I'm glad you have happy bees, and hope that you continue to be problem-free with the plants.

Yup, invasive but very pretty! I used to have some at my house. My grandma shared hers with me. Now I'm in an apartment, i just do a lot of pots. πΈπΈπΈπΊπΊπΊ
It just hit me today... We could have a frost or freeze any day now. πΎπΎπΎπ π―π

Oh sue, it feels like we're very far away from that down here. Although they did moderate today to be between 85 and 87, rather than 90. Tomorrow sounds much better though, good thing, because I have to walk to my optometrist appointment.
Golden, loosestrife is not on our noxious weed list, I checked that when I thought I might have ragweed in the yard--ragweed IS on the noxious plant list. Although it occurred to me that one of the other plants in the yard looks a little like ragweed now, I need to look up ragweed online again for ID photos.
Good morning everyone!
Bad night of sleep again last night, I'm not sure what's going on.
I just checked the grocery store site and they have Ice Mountain water listed as available, so I'm trying an order. I can't get a delivery til 1pm since I didn't order last night, but that's okay, I'm not going anywhere today. Hopefully they really do have the water and they won't say out of stock again. My handyman said he found Ice Mountain somewhere but they had a limit on how much you could buy.
I'm falling farther and farther behind every day, I just can't seem to muster a lot of energy. I will do my best to get at least some things done today.

Hi Everyone! I need motivation so I am going to do crazy idea. More crazy than usual - YES
You know how I always say when stuck pretend like you are helping best friend/loved one and not-be judgmental to friend (no negative talk only encouragement) and you are as we should all be our own best friend/loved one. That usually helps me and I got the giggles once really bad when I was pretending to clean up for my cleanie Aunt - I was like oh Auntie it is a goodthing you entrusted me with your messy secret as I will help you and never tell. She would have had a heifer if she would have known.
Anyway, on to idea. Yes pretending to help Auntie is a good laugh and makes cleaning amusing as the worse the mess the more i snicker about it as Auntie would be on floor fainted needed smelling salts. However it doesnt really help her. I do have a friend I will be visiting this year as long as things dont go pfffft with covid. She is organized but always way to busy and too much to do. So I thought I will clean in spirit with her (not along with as I dont want to bring it up and pressure her into thinking she needs to actually clean anything). So as I clean my stuff and organize, I will send cleaning/organizing energy her way. So it would helping her with her burden a bit in thought though too long a distance for actually doing anything right now.

So first thing I need to do is journal and figure out my day - after kitties (what was I thinking) and after calling Mom.
Kitties would be βWHAT! We are the first thing everyday after you do morning out of-bed ablutions. You are lucky we let you pee in peace at least once per day before we realize you are awake.β
Not that the kitties are a tad spoiled,

Wow TML, you are more generous than I ever could be, I would never let anyone clean and complain while visiting. I would say, if it's so horrible to you, go home.
Well, I don't have ragweed in my yard--common ragweed has feathery leaves, and giant ragweed (kind of scary sounding) has leaves that are lobed. The plant in the yard has neither--although it's kind of looking past its prime so I will probably remove it anyway. I'm getting nervous about all the rocks in the yard, I need to be out there in short sessions of removing them but this weekend is just too hot.
I see that one of the home improvement stores here just extended a sale, so I will suggest that we get the landscape timbers from that one. I need to figure out which seeds to plant this fall. Ugh, my to-do list is getting so long I will never catch up.
