So tempted to do laundry, which is my default when I can't figure out what to do next, or don't want to do it. Maybe I'll roll some dice. Washed dishes. It was a breeze, and I'm all caught up again. Shredded some paper, and lubed the shredder. Pulled out ingredients for salad, and double-checked against dietary restrictions of guest. Work on kitchen! left counter right counter sink counter card table--cleared and removed dishes--put away
Make one salad. Look over document and do some editing. Make phone appointment with org to help me with a thing. Clear sofa. Clear table. Ignore that easy laundry. There are bigger fish to fry!

Good work everyone! TA DA 10 minutes puzzle 5 minutes - finished creating list of needed lightbulbs and looked at upstairs, too (was only going to downstairs today to avoid overwhelm, but think I can get all of the bulbs at once) Brought dry laundry upstairs (need to fold - 2 fitted sheets, one flat sheet) TO DO Put on walking clothes and shoes Get wallet, mask and shopping bag with bulb list Turn on window candles Walk to hardware store and buy bulbs (and some chocolate covered pretzels ) What I really want to do is take a nap, but I'm going to see if I can get up and get moving while it's still light outside (won't be for long...)

Happy Wednesday seahorse, yrwelcome, oust, and everyone's else checking in! Ta da Turkey breast has 5 more minutes to cook, ham has 90 minutes left in crock pot, refrigerator pie made and in fridge, sweet potatoes cooked Dining room table is cleared, thanks to dh, polished, and promptly covered up with a holiday tablecloth One big bookcase in family room cleaned and everything back! To do Quick clean of other big bookcase Quick dusting of sideboard in dining room Get dishes out of china cabinet Make the sides, my kids want the box Mac and cheese, and the stovetop stuffing box! 90 minutes, no problem. I've got this! I've also got dh to do whatever I ask, he still can't believe I don't need him to go to the grocery store today! Update they are late thank goodness! Sides in process, ready to brown the marshmallows on the sweet potatoes and cook the crescent rolls when they get here. I only burnt myself once and only misplaced the pot holders three or four times. Nothing burned!

Recipe for the prettiest cooking spatter you've ever seen: Put cranberries, honey, and water in saucepan. Cover. Put on medium-high heat. Put water for tea on to boil. Turn your back and gather tea things from other side of kitchen. Return to stove and discover vigorous boiling, boilover, and spatter. Remove saucepan, admire the dark pink art, then clean up. Continue with regularly scheduled recipe. Hi, joyinvirginia ! You're going great. Enjoy the feast and company. Glad you have a working partner with you today. Took out green waste and recycling. Did the first half for cranberry salad. Cleared the card table. Work on kitchen! left counter right counter sink counter card table--removed dishes--put away

I saw that it was dark outside, and went out to check. It is snowing a little! It has been so dry the last several months here that I am always skeptical of forecasts that say there might be precipitation. yrwelcome No need to be sorry. It was truly my favorite accident ever, and as I said, quite pretty. I caught it almost immediately, and nothing burned. I just have to remember that the settings on this stove are hotter/faster than you'd think. Chopped up a few more ingredients, added to cranberries, and refrigerated. Salad #1 finished. Washed lunch dishes and salad prep things; consolidated a few things in fridge. Picked up living room floor. Go for a walk. Work on kitchen! left counter right counter sink counter card table--removed dishes--put away

Yes goldernthreads, its all too much dealing with holidays now If i get any upset or change to my schedule, i don't handle it well anymore. Not worried though, like i say to dh, i just do the best to get through everyday as i can.
Because (you can't start a sentence with 'because' screams at me!!!) Anyway...because i am doing things in the morning here, then going to work in the afternoon I'm exhausted in the evening who knew mid 50's would be like this.
I like to read back though to see what you all are doing.
Took my sleeping pill already. Won't be up much longer. Back tomorrow though.

oust About starting a sentences with because... That's the simple version of a more nuanced rule. Our teachers didn't want us to write "Because she wanted some cheese" and claim it as a full sentence. It is fine to write a sentence the way you were about to, because you were writing immediately after the because clause, in the same sentence, what that dependency referred to. What you wanted to do is a simple inversion of "I'm exhausted in the morning...because...," and that is perfectly acceptable to the rule makers. I distinctly remember asking my third-grade teacher about this when she was teaching us not to start a sentence that way. She said that what I was talking about was a special situation, and hurried back to her main point. I was an annoying child, I suppose, and now I am a self-appointed expert on certain aspects of English. Anyway, let's not worry about fine points. As long as we all understand each other here, we're doing fine. Sweet dreams! Went for a walk. Sidewalks were dry. Cleaned and removed card table, and put it away. Did the same with office chair. Don't ask--I don't remember why it was there. Worse, I don't even remember noticing it there! Dried and put away dishes. Work on kitchen! left counter right counter sink counter

It's snowing again, the flakes are bigger, and a little bit is sticking to the grass! Sounds like you're doing nicely with the setup, yrwelcome. Friends' extra chairs and tablecloths over tabletops are great that way. Cleared and cleaned the lefthand counter. Deadheaded and trimmed the basil plant. Watered it, and saved a few leaves for pesto. My fingers smell great! Cleared and cleaned the sink counter. Work on kitchen! right counter floor (stuff was hiding under the table--who knew?!) sweeping

Cleared the kitchen floor. Ran Roomba in kitchen. Swept the corners that Roomba doesn't do, and there was hardly anything, so I guess I'm doing better. Clear and clean the right counter in kitchen. Clear sofa. Clear table.
Go out and buy the onions I forgot to get.
