Yet again, yesterday was a bit of a failure. I didn't get anything done. Today I MUST do better! I'm not sure I'll get much done this morning as I spend time with DS. But if I will list some of my aims for today.
Coming up next...
Get DS to try on the new trainers I've ordered to see which ones he's keeping and which to return.
Put blankets in living room into vacuum storage bag.
Tackle a little of Mount Besidesofa
Throw or put away something every time I leave the room.

DonePut big bulky fleece blanket in vacuum pack storage bag. (Oh how I love those magic things!! ) Got DS to try on all trainers and decided which pair to keep and which to return. Gradually throwing and putting away an item every time I leave room. Gave DS a couple of bags with the instruction of filling them both with recycling upstairs throughout the rest of this afternoon/evening. Ordered shopping and brought it in when delivered. Coming up next...Put Vacuum stored blanket away in cupboard. Arrange collection of trainers being returned. Tackle a little of Mount Besidesofa. Continue with throwing/putting away one item every time I leave the room.

I have an awful confession! I bought myself some daffodils. (That's not the confession!) But to put them in the vase I had to throw away the ones already in there. They were the last flowers my mum bought me before she died. I haven't been able to bring myself to throw them out. She died 2 years ago!  They've been there just over 2 years.  To be honest, that's one of the reasons I bought myself the daffodils. Firstly, because she used to buy them for me in spring, so they remind me of her. But mostly so I had a motivation to throw the old flowers out. Lots and lots and lots of tears, but I'm glad I did it. |

DS filled 2 bags with recycling
Continued throwing/putting away every time I leave the room

Make dinner
Make DD's packed lunch for tomorrow
Put recycling bags out in wheelie bin

That was a big step for you Sapphire, throwing the flowers out that your mother gave you. How lovely to have fresh flowers that make you think of your mother. Daffodils are a favourite flower of mine- so cheery, simple yet bold and strong and a reminder that winter is leaving and spring is on its way. Enjoy your flowers, you deserve them and your renewed motivation. Well done

Oh my goodness, Ausmel, thank you so much for your message. Throwing out those flowers was so emotional for me, but something that I knew had to be done. I felt silly admitting how emotional it had made me and embarrassed at admitting those disgusting dried up things had been sitting there for 2 years. But you made me feel so much better! Thank you so much! I wish I could send you a bunch of daffs to say thank you and cheer up your day in return!  |
