I am currently taking some Dayquil as I feel like pffffft. I need to get some drive to get some work done on house. I am going to take a 30 min break so the Dayquil can kick in then I will get started. I actually ate too much for lunch (my one meal of the day today). I was out running errands and my friends had talked about how wonderful Baja tacos were so I got the taco lunch with plantains on the side. I ate too many plantains and thus brunch also became dinner too. At least it was all gluten free. The soft taco shells were gluten free corn taco shells.

So, the dog was wanting to out at about 3 for her 3rd trip of the day, I took her, she peed, and then wandered around the yard in the cold for a while. I finally said "want to go inside" and she immediately went for the door. One hour later, whine, whine, whine--insisted she had to go out again, and yes, she had the bowel movement she did not have one hour before. I'm sure this is related to her age because she never did this before, but I can't tell if it's early dementia and she forgets, or if something else is going on in her body so that she has no urge to go at all until later. It worked so well to have a schedule where she went out 4 times evenly across the day, but that's not enough now.

hi again!
DONE: made outfit got dressed made bed washed dishes vacuumed swept swapped some furnishings put clean laundry away
Lady D did not have time to work, so I was off the hook for child minding. She was in a tizzy over conflict between DVD and his DM (she stayed there last night) they are both burnt out and his DM is quite depressed. I might bring her some balloons.
I scrolled for a while. feeling pretty foggy at the moment. going off plan and not sleeping much will do that! The only thing that motivated me was a desire for eggnog. So I did a mini grocery shop.
I am going to try and nap. I will call refills in to the pharmacy first.

Diane - mall was not too bad-I think being a Monday during the work day helped
So my phone saga continues!! Went to the retail phone store. Was there for a half hour. Their systems were down. After a half hour, I said look I cannot give you any more of my day and left, but I am not able to order phone. What a joke that place is.
Took puppy for a long walk for the hour before sunset -she just loves the snow and the cold - so cheerful! She likes to nosedive and slide down the little slopes
Now home w sick DD. She is making her own dinner though, a pasta specialty she wants to put together.

We are not sick but i know people who have Covid again. I looked at alka seltzer at costco but dh said no as its too big of a packet. 72. he's probably right
Work went well, then i came home and heated up the spaghetti dh made while i was out.
Dishes washed again
I moved into the spare room as its warmer in here, only one double window. But, the floor creaks eally bad as the neighbor walks around in his room. creak creak creak all the time. Can't have everything i suppose.

Get well soon everyone who is under the weather at the moment  Today has very much been an errands day for me rather than a desqualoring, but I need to do those to be able to clear surfaces Done: Cut up and bagged fudge for bake sale take 2 Baked gingerbread (bf has kindly decorated, he is much better at it than I) Collected prescriptions for bf Ordered groceries for mum Emptied dishwasher Stacked and ran dishwasher Emptied dishwasher Stacked and ran dishwasher (it's been getting a great workout the last few days!) Bagged up Christmas cards and presents for colleagues to take in tomorrow Tomorrow, I'd like to finish wrapping and accessorising gifts so I can reclaim my coffee table and start to clean kitchen surfaces from today's baking. |

I ran my errands and stayed pretty focused.
I shopped my cupboard first and found the beans I needed for chili
I only had to go to the store for ground beef and tomatoes and chili mix and that was all I got!
I browned the meat and put it in the fridge. I will get up early and throw it in the crockpot and cook it on high at work. 4 hrs on high should be ok.
I still have to get a gift certificate for my mom to give someone.
Pretty pooped out - I am going to lay out my clothes for tomorrow and get some water.

Good evening reve!
I had dinner and watched part of another Christmas movie.
The workers next door left after cutting out the sidewalk, putting a wooden frame around it, and filling in the space with sandbags. So they were obviously the crew that preps the area, I will have to wait until the real workers come to see what they're going to do. I would think that shutting off anyone's water would not be a good idea the week before Christmas, but who knows.

Diane Maybe it was the cold. Dog was like make it quick and just pee and when you said do you want to go in well - yes Dog did. Then once back in house it was omg now I have to poo and go back out and freeze my bum off. So then Dog wanted back out but only because the poo urge was bad.
I heard they are calling the Winter Storm Elliott now. We should not get it too bad but our power here is just twitchy. A sea gull sneezes or farts and the whole city is in the dark. My generator is working though its little cubby for outside is still not done. That means I have to have it pushed out of garage into drive way and then lower garage door just above its cord. I do not want skunk in garage again.
I have not done much today except run errands this morning. It was more than one errand plus many many phone calls. I am going to try to get some stuff picked up and at least one load into washer before bed and maybe see about dishes. On second thought maybe just get load into washer but not run it until morning as both would be hot loads (washer bedding or dishes) and I dont run them at the same time.
I will have to wait and see how it goes.

oh gosh I hope the power stays on for everypony! baby its cold outside.
I called the pharmacy. DVD came over and looked so distressed. I just let him vent, I hope he felt better afterwards.
then I went to DPs. fixed a glitch in their holiday letter. had some chili for dinner--the perfect food for this kind of weather, ohblondie! if only it didn't have ground beef beens or tomatoes, 
shared some videos and came home. I hope I can do some prep for tomorrow tonight.

Good morning! I slept well last night and when the clock rang at 6 I would have like to still sleep but I'm trying to do what I tell other people to do--to get to a good sleep schedule, make yourself get up at the time you'd like to get up even if you're tired. Eventually this will lead to falling asleep immediately every night, like I did last night. This also means I need to take reading breaks during the day so I don't want to stay up reading. But on the days when I can't fall asleep or am up during the middle of the night I let myself sleep another hour or so in the morning.
My aches from my walk yesterday are mostly better, I'm going to stay home today and then make one more trip to the library and the mailbox before the end of the week, that means tomorrow or Thursday since by Friday morning it sounds like we'll be in a snowstorm. I'll have to check my library account to see what's due and when.
Just five days til Christmas!

mylittlescholar I usually make a multi bean chili with no meat but for this party I put in meat, 5-6 cans of different beans and two large cans of tomato's. Sorry! Chili is made and plugged in and shall sit undisturbed for 3-4 hours....on high. Mine usually cooks 6 hrs or more on low. so I hope this works. I unloaded the dishwasher so that I could put the dirty dishes right in the empty dishwasher. THe dog has started sniffing things out and reaching into the sink if something smells good. OK - time to make calls then jump on a conference call. No rest for the weary.
