Hello scholar and reve!
first words out of the endocrinologist's mouth: biopsy result normal
That's fantastic, scholar!
I've been working on the first floor, it's pretty much decluttered, if I clean the bathroom tomorrow I will consider myself done on that floor. There is some possible snow on Thursday so I will have to do my shopping trip tomorrow or Wednesday.

mylittlescholar great news about the biopsy! TwinkleToes take a deep sigh of relief - you survived the dinner!!! ClimbingPyramids this is an easygoing thread! I did get some stuff done Did a load of laundry Updated checkbook Checked against statement Paid the very important bill - tuition! Took puppy for a long walk. Just under two hours and she still wanted more! It had warmed up to 34 degrees F snd the sun was out and skies were deep blue!!! Have not seen a blue sky for over a week at the least. Took our walk on one side of park, long walk, many sniffs and trails to explore. Headed to car to go home and puppy just looked at me so pleadingly and did not move, so clearly saying can we walk more?? So we did! I made my meatloaf for dinner Did clean up to shiny sink Dusted living room furniture Cleaned stove top, toaster and microwave Wiped down main countertop Put away some Christmas decorations I did not do all of my decorating this year and I liked it; less was more. I usually plan to remove it all MLK day but since it is not as decorated I am leaving some up until DD goes back. It is restful to me. Soon off to bed! Gnite all

mylittlescholar I was so happy to read the good news about the biopsy! TwinkleToes Great job on seeing carpet to the right side of your bed!!! That is huge!! I don't have clothes on the floor on that side of my bed, but it is so very cluttered (with other stuff such as old purses, shoes, boots, books, bags, and what knows what else!) that I cannot see the carpet on a big part of the floor next to the right side of my bed. Also, re: reading & posting on your lists. I wish that I had more time to spend doing that very often with everyone's lists, but I rarely do. I try to read everyone's lists all the time, but sometimes I am guilty of going to fast. And, then ... my memory... I forget so quickly what I've read. re: floor being replaced. Yes, we had 2 leaks ...one in wall of DS's old room and 1 under bathroom sink... well, in the wall. So, the flooring in the back bathroom, our master bedroom and closet, DS's old room, DD's old room, hallway, another bedroom/junkroom/office & den are going to be replaced & covered by insurance. We are going to pay for the kitchen floor & dining room floor. We went ahead & pulled up & removed the carpet that was in part of the back bathroom, our bedroom closet, part of our bedroom floor, and all of DS's old room. The rest is covered because it was contiguous wall to wall carpeting. The floor get a little wet in the office/junkroom/bedroom & in part of the hallway -- we were able to get the water out for the most part. So, we have been living with concrete floors in part of our house & bedroom. Also, our big walk-in closet in our bedroom had to remove everything from the floor to remove the carpet & dry out the concrete in there... and some stuff from DS's old room was moved out. So we are just extra cluttered in the rest of the house..., etc. This leak happened when we had snow, ice & freezing temperatures for several days in a row (week?-can't remember) and huge power outages all over areas of Texas in 2021. www.texastribune.org/series/winter-storm-power-outage/ We left water dripping, etc. to try to prevent pipes bursting, and we had an awesome neighbor coming and checking our house...both inside and out. But he didn't walk in all of the rooms. He looked & listened for leaks. Also, he wasn't familiar enough with our home... After the first day of no electricity in freezing temperatures... we left to stay with our DS & his family an hour away. I noticed when we got home a week or 10 days later... I noticed the exterior brick in front of our house looked a darker color near the bottom & middle of the exterior wall. I mentioned it to DH as we drove up. And, yeah, you couldn't tell the leaks... until you actually stepped in DS's room and went squish... same in back bathroom and our closet/bedroom. Many people like my neighbor across the street had to have walls, floors & just about everything re-done. She had to move into a hotel for about a month... this was rough with Covid still going on, too. Her leaks were much more massive than ours... water spewing from the middle of the walls, etc. Many other people went thru the same thing as her. DH & I were lucky! We had the adjuster out in 2021, but with the death of my father, my sweet big dog who I referred to as "Puppy" in my lists for many, many years & her real puppy picture is my avatar. My Dad & Mom in & out of the hospital and so many issues in 2021... my Mom also in the hospital a few times that year. Both got Covid the last week/weekend of 2020 and that went on into 2021. Moved them completely out of the Assisted Living. So much went on in 2021. That was the worst year of my life and 2022 was probably the 2nd worst. So, it's been nearly 2 years since the leaks/bursts... and we are at the end of the period of time that the insurance will cover. So, this has to get done very quickly. It will be 2 years since the bad weather event started just before or on Valentine's Day in 2021. dtesposito Great job on getting your downstairs floor decluttered!!! That's awesome!

MLK Day, Jan 16th -- I did have to work, but took off 4 hours during the day due to appointment re: flooring. Met DH at flooring showroom where we had an appointment. We narrowed down & came home with large samples. We are replacing floors in the entire house except the Laundry area, entry hall area & front bathroom. We will have some type of wood looking floor (I forgot the material or what it's called) put in all rooms except the master bedroom & the back bathroom. The master bedroom will have carpeting and the back bathroom will have ceramic tile. We are paying extra for some of this because the insurance only really pays to replace with carpeting. It will be more to get this other type of flooring. And, as I mentioned in previous post, we are electing to replace the kitchen floor & dining room floor.
Our work is cut out for us! Fed Dog 2nd feeding. Gave her meds before 3rd feeding Fed Dog 3rd feeding Empty bottle into recycle bag 2 empty boxes put by back door to take to outside can Drank 7 glasses of water!
Nothing else done tonight. CD
