Good morning PS!
Thanks for starting the thread, lennon!
I managed to get to Walmart this morning, I am home now and sitting down. Everything really hurt today while walking so I think I'll be more sore than usual today, but the weather was my favorite--heavy grey clouds, cold and windy! So, the walk was okay thanks to the weather.
My cart was heavier than usual too because I bought some big bottles of water as well as the usual case of 35 bottles, plus it seemed like the other groceries I needed this time were all heavy things.
Luckily my next phone call day isn't until tomorrow so maybe by this afternoon I'll be able to get some work done.

Cando, I read back about your house damage--I remember that problem in Texas because someone I worked with at the shelter lives there now and we keep in touch, I remember asking her if she was affected and she basically was okay. What an awful thing to come home to! You will love the flooring, so much easier to keep clean than carpet, especially if you have animals. It's a disruption to have it installed but it will be worth it!
I have been sitting resting, it's almost time to take the dog out so I'll have to stand up soon...

I took the dog out, and took the cans out to the street. I got the mail, which included some new postage stamps I bought--they finally have some dog/cat stamps again (they are "love" stamps). I'm not that happy with the actual pictures they chose but I am happy they have some dog/cat stamps, it's been a while.
Now I guess I'll have lunch and then I'll see if my feet let me do any work!

Good afternoon scholar and TT!
I opened my envelope from the post office but they only included part of my stamp order, I forgot that the cat and dog stamps aren't officially released until the 19th. They could have just waited and sent them all at once, they never give you the option of requesting that.
I got another call from my senior client--I don't know if I mentioned this but she called me on Sunday to tell me about a sick cat--and I was totally reminded of how frustrating she is. I asked her questions about what was wrong with the cat and she said "they gave me a 10 page report from the hospital, I'm not going to read all that!". Then I told her she should keep the cat confined so she can see if he's eating and using the litter box, she said he usually stays upstairs and the other cats don't go up there so she doesn't have to do that. Yeah, sure...she asked me for advice and I give it and she says it's not necessary to do that. So today she called again and said she DID confine the cat to one bedroom, and he isn't eating the special food from the vet, he hasn't eaten anything in days...so now she's going to the store to pick up some tasty things to tempt him. She knows the cat should go back to the vet but he won't let her pick him up, he hides under the bed. And she's 85 years old so she can't crawl around under there to try to grab him. So now I have to worry about this cat.
I'm going to work on decluttering my desks in the porch room, I can do some of that sitting down.

PS, that is such a nice thing to say, but I don't know if you would think my heart was big if you could hear the mental cursing I was doing after I got off the phone with my senior client the first day. She called me specifically to ask for advice and then pooh-poohed everything I said. However, I was pleased to hear that by 2 days later she had taken my advice about confining to one room, and when I told her to go buy anything the cat would eat, she said she would.
Vets really need to address this, they tell people the cat MUST eat the urinary diet or whatever, and don't tell the person that if the cat refuses to eat it for 2 days they have to do something. I feel better knowing the cat is confined, this means that when he gets sick again she will be able to find him and get him back to the vet. She has a 4-bedroom hoarded house with basement, if the cat was roaming throughout the house and hid somewhere as he got sicker she would not be able to find him.
I thought one of the few good things about having to move from that neighborhood would be that I didn't have to deal with her horror stories any more, but it seems like I still do.
I got a little decluttering done but haven't been able to finish up the first floor, I will have to do that some time in the next couple of days. Tomorrow is a phone call day, I also have to go to the library but that doesn't take much time or energy.
The snow they promised for Thursday will now come as rain, and after that it looks like the days of 40 degree temps are over for a while.

I have not been feeling good lately and the last 2 days keep going back to bed to sleep. I have dishes in the sink and clothes to be washed in the bathroom but i think it can all wait a little
Cloudy here about 40 degrees but it feels cold to me. I put the car in the garage so as not to go out early in the cold to pick up dh from work.

Hello all!
Done: - Load of laundry - Laundry from machine to dryer - Achieved dining table zero - Emptied bathroom trash - Emptied living room trash - Collected living room trash - Brought rubber broom upstairs to sweep stairs - Some further tidying and throwing out in master bathroom - Took trash bags out of master bathroom to add to pile - Bleached sink - And the big one....built the towel rail I bought impulsively on clearance for my then brand new house in 2018. It's too big for my bathroom. I will ask boyfriend if there is anywhere else it could be used, then offer it to family, then aim to list it online.
