I'm back from the library, there is a very cold wind blowing, no rain but sort of misty.

Bree, mine is set to 67 degrees and we are now used to it. It just means all the clothes we spend good money on are paying for themselves.  Here i got all the dishes done My hair washed and dried A few things by the door to go out I steamed the bottom of the shower tray and then cleaned with all purpose cleaner Put the steaming pads on the balcony Thats it so far. |

Good morning.
I mentioned earlier that I have to large black contractors bags full of laundry to do. It was in the apartment and it was things of my daughter's as well as random things that had gotten left behind by previous tenants. I have been banging through that backlog - one load at a time. Another load was run last night. there was a really nice soft fluffy blanket left behind by a tenant that I am tempted to keep - but really - I have so many fluffy blankets that I dont really need it.
I also worked on some dishes in the sink and got some things out of the fridge.
I went to a meeting and one of my newer friends was there so we went out for a bit after the meeting (and ran into another friend we have not seen in quite awhile. So nice to be able to just talk about random things like her upcoming house remodel and ongoing community events. DH came at the very end as I had ordered him some food.
I did not get my handful of paperwork done last night so I will have to do two tonight.
I will admit that I got over tired this weekend and did not sleep as well Sunday night as I had hoped - so I took a sleeping pill last night and slept so deeply. I had a hard time getting up this morning - and I was late. I will save any sleeping aids for friday and saturday nights from now on.
I emptied out the apartment into my car so I need to now empty my car out.....again......I got the smelly laundry out so that is a huge step in the right direction. But my work bag is buried in there and I need to unearth that.
Someone here mentioned their small freezer space...THe freezer in my fridge is packed full. I should be using the back up freezer in the basement. But does a family of two really need a full fridge freezer and back up freezer? I say yes to be able to stock up on things while they are on sale. Where I fall down is planning the meals and taking things out of the freezer in time to thaw.
It looks like my son might be moving out after all. this will give me space to be able to have a staging area and get things out. I think he wants to take the bedroom set in the guest room which is fine as I have a bedroom set to take it's place. I might have to take time off to deal with everything.
So much swirling in my head - I need to make a list. Just making a list gets things out of my head.
OK - I have an important call to make!

I did take the dog for a walk, it is really cold and blustery out, not at all what I expected this week.
Since I got home I've been puttering around doing various things as I see them. That's not the best way for me to work but at least I'm doing something. I just took the dog out again and now I'm going to dig my large Christmas cactus out of the pot it's been in forever to try to save it--it looks like it's dying. I'll repot it in fresh dirt and see if it survives.

oust I have mine set at 65. Chilly for me! Another busy day. I had puppy off to daycare as I had an all day workshop so I could not dash home at lunch. It was a relief to know she was having fun and not stuck all day I had free breakfast, lunch and snacks at work But I had to work over an hour late to do work for tomorrow’s tasks Picked up puppy Did a load of laundry Soon will go to bed. I did not sleep well last night -puppy was barking and restless I think from me working two hours late. So I am very tired. Next Put wash in dryer Do dishes to empty sink Do night time routine Sleep! Gnite

In a rush again…
Yesterday morning, I was late to work, again, as right before I was going to walk out the door, the contractor called. He was returning our call. Answered our questions, except one DH decided not to ask at that moment.
As a side note, Unfortunately, our insurance company is refusing to pay for a motel for us. Also, we are paying for half of the master bath floor, the dining room floor & the kitchen floor. Not the insurance company. But we want them changed out too so our cost on that, dog at dog play during the day & may have to board her overnight.
Contractor will do Master bathroom first then our bedroom, then start in largest room for the rest of the flooring & go outwards from the middle to right/left until the house is finished. Was hoping for dry weather so it will dry faster if they have to use something to level things out. But more rain is predicted. Dang!
They will start this Tuesday or Wednesday. (Next week).
Altho much better, I sure wish that I wasn’t sick. )
Took yesterday afternoon off as a half vacation day.
Went home
Ate a turkey sandwich for lunch.
1 can, 2 bottles & 2 sm boxes into recycle bag
Our Capsule arrived right after my sandwich. (Capsule is one of the places that sells Portable Storage Units— most people around here use PODs brand). Anyway, for myself & DH (especially me) it was exciting! We’ve been married so long & lived in this house about 30 years. It’s like having the moving truck arrive to move us out of this house. Plus it was neat to watch the guy get this 16 x 8 unit off of the truck & in our driveway in back of our house with a machine that lifted it & moved it, positioned it by remote control. We had wondered how they were going to get it into our driveway which is in back of our home. All the driveways in this neighborhood are in back & connect to a narrow alley. We were concerned about ruts in our yard or neighbors yard from the truck. But this is how they did it! Of course , I had researched & knew they’d use some kind of little machine but I had envisioned some kind of forklift even tho the machine looked small & not like a forklift in my quick research. I wish that I could have watched it all but it was raining too hard & I had to get ready for an appointment that in rain & traffic could take as long as an hour to get there. So, altho I couldn’t see it removed from the flatbed of the truck, I just saw where the truck was in the alley, the machine & the driver who was very experienced & nice, and was satisfied that no ruts would be happening nor no fences knocked into.
DH & I have very little time to get tons done.
Took another Covid test - Negative.
Scanned medical forms.
Thankfully, DH had a cloth type bag to put my things in & he put fresh batteries in my blood pressure device.
Got all ready to go.

Went to appointment with Nurse Practitioner. Really liked her. Put me on antibiotic (Augmentin - *ugh*. That’s a rough one for me, but think I need that one). Also a new, for me, nasal spray. My bp was high, but the sign on door said to wear a mask. No one else was wearing one (except 1 patient had a chin sling).
I really liked the NP!!! I hope this will be a good group for me… last Doctor retired last year. I hadn’t been to him but maybe twice then Covid. 2 driveby blood draws in 2020 & 2021.
The 2 previous doctors before that I didn’t like but took too long to make a change from them.
Anyway, she lowered the dosage on bp med & told me I could drop the HCL if I wanted too since it was causing a problem. She also refilled Levothyroxine 75mcg.
Scheduled physical exam in 12 weeks. May 4th.
Was exhausted when I came home. Picked up dinner for us on way home.
Picked up meds from pharmacy later in the night.
Started on the nasal spray & antibiotic.
Moved one plastic bin from floor next to my side of our bed to dining room & put it on top of another larger plastic filing bin.
It’s been next to my bed. I’ve had to move it anytime I had to get into 3 of my drawer since June 2019. When I moved my parents from TN to TX. Was only supposed to have been there a short time right ? Has important papers re: DParents. Weren’t even sure at that time if it was temporary or permanent move here.
Grabbed a bag that has been on dining room floor for a couple months. As I thought, it’s stuff my youngest brother brought here from parents old house for my DS. They had sicknesses in their home for a long time & also forgot to take it to them.
Peeked in another bag in junk room. Same from DBro, but for me.
Moved 2 boxes around that are in dining room. Grabbed a bag on top of one of them. Ghah! From hospital where Mom was last, I think hers- could have been Dads. A few items we need to keep: pill splitter & pill crusher— a good one! Bandages, good tape.
Will take the Medline expensive bed pads, special cleaning cloths, special wipes, Diaper rash ointment/cream, & shampoo/body wash to Group Care Home & see if they can use them for anyone or just save there in Moms closet.
Tossed 1 open special wash cloths, 1 partial used diaper rash stuff, 1 travel size toothpaste.
Grabbed a couple bags from next to my bed. 1 contained a couple trash bags, the other contained a few zip bags. That’s it! I had been constantly knocking them off that plastic bin & put them back on top without looking & dealing with contents. Kept the trash bags & a couple zip bags. The rest had gotten dirty/hairy/dusty. Yuck.
Tossed 9 bags.
1 sm paper sack into recycle bag
Took antibiotic & had nasal spray.
Emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag
Washed 2 sinkfuls of dishes.
Went to bed earlier for me 12:15am

Feel better cando . My 2 cents would be to look for an airbnb that allows dogs. Then you have 1 expense rather than hotel and dog care. I also would look as close to your house as possible. My contractor was calling me over to the house all the time. Good morning everyone to come! am meds

Thanks for the suggestion, peaceseeker Hope you can get a call back real soon. The place that I went to yesterday, some of the reviews mentioned how bad their admin staff was -- like scheduling or chanigng appointments. Getting referral information to the dr they're referring to, etc. I was hesitant to try this provider, but since referred to me & I needed refill... etc. I saw other Dr offices with the same complaint... One was a group that I loved, but my Dr. retired. And, it is much further away. Had that same complaint multiple times in the reviews. They used to be fantastic in every way! What the heck is going on?! This mornng: awakened at 6am with horrible headache & feeling very sick. Ears, now, nose worse, etc.   Feeling much, much better. Drank at least 16 oz of water, so far. Had thyroid med, nasal spray & antibiotic 9:30am bp 137/75 p70 Tossed 2 powder containers that were on my dresser -- kept thinking they would be good to be used for something. Nice type of containers, but it's been a few years, so .... Tossed broken clock that I used to have on my night stand. It worked but all the digital numbers weren't coming out, so ... and have been relying on my cell phone as an alarm for years, now. I love that clock! Haven't set it in a long time as far as an alarm clock...  That was a hard one. Scooted/piled things that were next to the door so DH can get to my side. Need to drain/disassemble the DON'T LAUGH! waterbed. We absolutely still love it! Never a back problem for DH since we got it 38 years ago. (went from a really good bed,but how good is it really if you wake up everyday in pain due to back issues?). CD |

Cando, I hope you feel better, this is not a good time to be sick!
I went to Walmart this morning, the walk was fine until the last 3 blocks when I suddenly pooped out and had no energy, and my side started hurting. Luckily I wasn't far from home so I made it the rest of the way.
Tonight rain starts, tomorrow the temp drops with heavy rain and strong winds, turning to snow towards the end of the day. So I got my shopping done just in time.
I'm resting now, the dog will have to go out in about an hour. Today is a phone call day so maybe I can get a few things done in the early afternoon.

I was out and about today.
Picked up a foot long for DH
Dropped him at his location
Went to the grocery store and came out with nothing...yay
Cleaned the kitchen cabinets
Now i am resting for a while. It warmed up in here to 70 degrees thank to the sun.
