Visited DMom. She's doing well, just her mind is like a cracked mirror. For instance, she told me to be careful that I'm hurting my back... but she was touching my wrist and looking at my wrist. She also made up some words... I sang a few songs. She looked like she was enjoying hearing me sing, but she only sang 3 words to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", and those 3 words were "One, Two, Three" strikes your out at the ole ballgame. She seems happy and was really using the Fidget Mat that my oldest brother sent to her. I need to remember to add a photo to one section of it. I didn't realize we were supposed to have done that -- or a pretty little picture. Folded/hung laundry load Moved load to dryer Hung that load Did a very quick going thru of some papers that were on a chair in my den. 3 papers went into recycle bag Picked up 2 papers that had fallen off some boxes as they were moved around in our Entry Hall. Put those 2 papers into recycle bag. Texted owner of Mom's Group Home & called her. She is re-doing the invoice, today. Yay! CD

Hello scholar, cando and catcats!
Catcats, I usually read before bedtime but I like doing crossword puzzles too. I have some books of the really hard ones that I can never finish, and then some that aren't as hard that I often can. I find they make me sleepier than reading does, I guess I'm working my brain and that makes me tired!
So, tomorrow was supposed to be my phone call day but my shopping friend called me this afternoon and asked if we could talk today instead since the guy who helps her with groceries and other stuff wants to come see her tomorrow afternoon. So I've just been on the phone for 2 hours. Now I have to take the dog out and feed her before we get too much off schedule.

Put another laundry load in washer. Went thru large dirty clothes hamper in DD's old room. DH had mixed in shoes, computer parts, cables, a hard drive (I think)... I wish that I had time to wash some of these items or I'd give them away, but I simply do not. I am trying to be heartless, but it is difficult when it comes to DD's things. Tossed the following: 3 of DD's old shirts. One was made for her with her name on it & special things about DD by one of her best friends. I think that she is no longer friends or in touch with her anymore. Not sure... I think another one of the friends that she really was close to but she decided at one point "not any more", I think. I could be wrong. I'm trying to be heartless, but it's very heart-wrenching to me. 2 of DH's old shirts that are beyond worth laundering 2 pairs of DD's socks 2 of DD's old skirts that I think she got used anyway.

Still doing laundry. I am trying to recover master bedroom from cat staying in it during the cat crisis. He knocked some clothes and bedding off on floor the same time he dumped litter all over floor. So everything is getting sanitized. Then i can make bed and start folding laundry on bed tomorrow.
And for those following continuity -> yes I slept wrapped in a blanket on top of the designated bed covering cat blanket last night on my bed just to sleep in my old bed again. It feels much better on my joints. However tonight I am going to sleep in bed freshly made again. I had cleaned all the floor up and sanitized floor right after kitty did the floor decoration with litter box. But all the clothes and stuff he knocked on floor got shaken out outside and put in a large trash bag for sanitizing laundry. I just have to keep doing things tiny steps at a time.

TML, I'm so happy that the cat issue is over, I didn't even think of the extra work there is when one cat is temporarily confined somewhere--they never like that and always seem to make a mess.
I've had dinner already, I'm trying to think of something I can do now for the next hour until bedtime but I'm just not in the mood to do anything constructive. I have some good books going so would like to read, but maybe I can continue PEEPing on this floor, things are looking pretty good up here but there are always a few things out of place that I don't know what to do with. Or that I know what to do with but don't feel like doing it now.
Maybe I'll work on my desks, there is a little reorganizing that I can do that I think will make them more efficient. Reorganizing my computer desk files for the challenge helped, I'll try to keep going with desk stuff.

I went through some paper on my desk--wow, I'm behind in all my personal correspondence/emails, I need to work on that. And the desk paper--there's a lot of it.
But now it's time to get ready for bed--good night everyone, see you tomorrow!

Diane I am happy too! I am so glad they are back together.
I think I have reached the end of my night. I will do some night time one more round of pick up and then bed.
It always takes longer than i think it will no matter what I am doing. Today was mostly laundry and picking up day.

mylittlescholar -- doing something, anything! is great in my book... Even if it's just fractional, at least it was in the right direction and some kind of movement toward your goals. TML I am, also, so thrilled that you're kitties are getting along, again. Whew! And, that you have reclaimed your bed. That's good news! Removed many years of dust from items in our bedroom. DH has tossed a lot of things & put lots of papers into a recycle sack. He appears to be going thru every little piece of papers. We don't really have enough time for him to do that, but I'm not gonna say anything. He'll dig in really soon, when he sees how much time he's spent. I have gone thru everything on top of my dresser, too. Still have to box up some more from the top of the head of the bed and my dresser, and the drawers under the bed & probably inside my dresser too. Also, have to get the stuff on top of my nightstand. Just pictures & a ton of dust, there. Tossed: 6 bags of trash taken to outside can 21 papers & a small box into recycle bag Old blood pressure kit -- cuff & the machine At least 20 "what nots" -- and things kids had made us -- all covered with dust & sentimental -- but we just can't keep everything Lots more papers into recycle bag -- at least a couple hundred. ! book into giveaway bag 1 heartshaped glass container into giveaway bag Many things put where they go... Lots of stuff put in the trash Moved laundry load to dryer Emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag Went back to Group Home & picked up corrected invoice so I can submit it to LTC insurance for reimbursement. Put another Laundry Load in washer Labeled some boxes CD

Texted my boss & asked for Mon & Tues off. He said "Ok". I'm nervous about taking those days off... because I think the timing is bad & it is last minute to ask off. But, I really need to take these days. We dismantled the our bed. Packed 2 more boxes.
Tossed 12 floor samples Put in recycle bag: 11 very old greeting cards that were from DS's 6th birthday, also valentine cards folks had sent to him & my daughter, & a card or to that was to me. Tossed large plastic tray w/lid -- like if we wanted to put together a tray to take to someone's house for a party... It was filthy! 2 old menus into recycle sack 1 sm paper sack into large recycle sack Tossed very old "fairy dust" -- tube of glitter that we used when Harry The Tooth Fairy visited our kids. Tossed very old travel alarm clock... has to be about 30 years old! Tossed about 10 clothes tags Tossed about 10 buttons Tossed 3 greeting cards Put big container of "Dead Sea Salts" into giveaway bag (never opened but is old). Also, a brand new apron (never used), 4 kid's type necklaces that daughter made for me when she was a child, a Dior eyeglass case, wooden box that daughter made & painted beautifully for me when she was a child. This is so very hard... Moved Laundry Load to dryer & hung the hang-dry things.
Wasn''t sure what to do with 2 old calendars (no writing on them) that have very pretty pictures on them. Finally decided to put them in the Giveaway bag. But, I hope no one thinks these are current calendars and buy them... Hmmm. Started to just throw them away. These type of things slow me down...
Should I take them out & just throw them away? Please advise. Thanks!
I had over 12,000 steps on Saturday! CD

cando, I would be inclined to throw the calendars away. But I love the pictures, too. You could put a sticky note on the front of each one that says something like "Old calendar--saved for the pictures."

Cando can you take a snap shot of the pictures you like using your phone. That way you would have the pictures you like in the cloud and can use them for screen backgrounds

Good morning everyone!
Cando, I'm glad you're taking a couple of days off, hopefully that reduces the stress. As for the calendars, if donating them makes them easier to get rid of, put a sticky note on the front of each with the year on it, that makes it obvious it's an older calendar.
I had relatively good sleep last night, the dog seems fine, although now she's getting picky with her food--I'm wondering if the antibiotic is upsetting her stomach. No diarrhea, though. There are only 3 more days of meds so I will just make sure she's eating enough for now.
The forecast is to reach around 50 for a high the next 4 days. I need to make a little list of things to be done while the weather is warmer.
