Yay for everyone getting work done on their goals!
set up a shelf near the window for seedlings
And scholar is planning to have seedlings! That makes me happy!
Once again I am a day late reporting.
Last week I spent 20 minutes on clothing, 10 minutes cleaning the plant room, 40 minutes on book site data, and one hour on seedlings--I'm actually behind in my seedling schedule because I planted some extras the first week, plus I had to work on the 2nd seedling table because I still had some plants on there that didn't belong and that had to find new homes. I repotted one plant, an Aloe juvenna that was in a tiny pot, I noticed it has a little baby starting next to it so I gave the family a roomier home. I also cleaned out one kitchen bin.
I'm adding another goal, straightening up my food pantry, even though I completely reorganized it last time I messed things up taking out all my seedling supplies, so it needs some work again.
1. CLOTHING--GOAL--I will alter 2 items so I can wear them, and I will find some pants to wear other than jeans. Shopped online for some scrub pants, they will come tomorrow so I will see if they are right.
2. CLEANING--other than routine things GOAL 3 hours remaining from last challenge
3. BASEMENT--remaining on GOAL 10 minutes
4. FRIDGE CLEANING
5. PLANT ROOM CLEANING 20 minutes done so far
6. POST MORE BOOKS FOR TRADING remaining GOAL of 5
7. READ BOOKS FROM MY OWN STASH GOAL of 2 Started a book
8. PLANT REPOTTING and CUTTINGS--GOAL--7 plants or cuttings remaining to do
9. ENCLOSED SPACES GOAL--Clean out the kitchen bins in the built-in cupboard upstairs, and clean out under both kitchen sinks, upstairs and down. Underneath one kitchen sink cleaned out, one kitchen bin cleaned.
10. DATA ENTRY ON BOOK SITE 1 hour, 50 minutes done so far
11. MAKE SCHEDULE FOR INDOOR PLANTING FOR MARCH This project is done!
12. USE SEED SCHEDULE to plant appropriate seeds during weeks 1,2,3,4 of March. Week 1 done, plus extras
13. CONTACT HANDYMAN and get a firm commitment for spring. One email sent 3/4 (No reply yet from handyman)
14. STRAIGHTEN UP FOOD PANTRY
15. TBD

Hand hemmed another pair of P.J. pants and rehemmed a lot of hems on pair of black sweats. Rethreaded a tie in waistline of another pair of p.j. pants. This part of challenge , I consider done.

Worked in my bedroom about an hour and a half. Took 2 large organizer bins to attic from that room. Vacuumed it. Almost finished that part of challenge.

I'm a Johnny/Janie come lately to this. But my HUGE GOAL by April 30th is that I want to be able to have a repair person into my kitchen to look at my dishwasher, and have my AC unit serviced for summer (rather than awaiting an emergency shut-down in July as usual).
Got a lot of ground to cover, but if I can just get my living areas to what I consider "normal people messy", I'll count it a success.

Catcats, you are just speeding along on this challenge!
Hi tiggy, you have an excellent goal--so many of us just ignore maintenance issues until they become emergencies. Have you worked out any kind of plan by time? Say, what you hope to get done each week? Sometimes it helps to break it down that way so that you're aware of how much time is going by.

Today I cleaned and reorganized the bottom shelves of my computer desk in the den. Went through some saved small papers there and discarded a lot, as no longer needed. It was very dusty !!
Since I was working there anyhow, I also dusted and organized the top of desk and wiped it down, as well as the desktop computer. The rest of the den has to be done, but that isn't the current challenge, so that will be for another time.

Today I spent an hour on estate accounting and sent DXH's son a text about my progress. I hope to get that done by the end of the week.
Yesterday I helped DVD make a plan for the backyard. we have three weeks to get it party ready! And in case it rains, I want to keep working on the inside. I started back on the kitchen.

I moved a very small white cabinet into a bedroom closet. It used to live in the bathroom, but doesn't fit there anymore since the BR was remodeled almost 2 years ago. Eventually, it will go into the LR closet.

I have not done any financial or administrative work. thank goodness our tax deadline has been pushed back!
I have done work on the house/party prep. had an organizer in to make suggestions. worth it to have someone else tell DVD we need furniture! so I've been doing research on that. Meanwhile, I figured out the is an empty hutch in Lady' D's room that will fit in the space.
DVD had made huge progress on the backyard. Kitty is perplexed by the open space. The rest of the cats in the neighborhood are visiting with interest.
It is time for the semi-annual clothing swap. Spring has arrived.

everything is everywhere all at once part of the process but its alarming
I cleared out two less than optimal pieces of furniture, and DVD put them out for give-away we moved the hutch in Lady' D's room to the kitchen. it just barely fit.
I ordered a big island cart from Wayfair, it should be here in a week also two slim laundry bags I will use for plastic bags, etc
we got some more scrap out of the back yard and plan to make a run to the scrap yard I looked up cement grinders--the previous owners put down scrap marble as a patio, which is a slippery trip hazard. DVD is weeding around the poppies
ten days to go!
