Went to pharmacy. Went to library. Returned book, and talked with librarian about interlibrary loans. While at library, went to quiet room and assessed myself on the various hoarding scales in Buried in Treasures, Chapter 3. Clean out purse. Go to office store and grocery store.

Good Day all!!!
I got up this morning, showered ate, and then drove to the doctor's office for my annual check up. (All is well) Went to the store and bought some bird food and garden seeds. Went to a TNR cat place (which was closed today) and dropped off a large box of ink cartridges. They used to have a donation box to put them in. They'd get money for recycling them. I hope they can use them.
Emptied the dishwasher (I ran it last night.) Ate some lunch Laundry is in progress
to-do: Put laundry away Go for a walk Food prep?
The local farm supply/feed store is having a "chick chat" this evening. I may be getting chicks again this spring. We will see. I went once before and it was informative and fun.

The countdown to my move is both wonderful and massively anxiety-inducing. The progress is so very slow...
TA-DA: *I put together a few boxes *I gathered pants for the "closet" box (I decided not to pack the bookshelf yet as books in boxes would just get in the way right now!) *I closed the box, added a label, and set it aside (though I'll need to add more pants after I've done laundry) *Verrrry slowly I started gathering up all the cardboard and paper recycling. There is sooo much, ugh...
TO-DO: *Finish up gathering items for recycling *Bring recycling and garbage to trash room *Make a tentative plan for cleaning, organizing and packing for the near future
HI EVERYONE. ❤️✨🌞

Hi, oxen! Good luck with the tossing and packing! Much admiration to you for doing and planning this. A friend of mine is about to start prepping for a (downsizing) move, and I've volunteered to help. I hope that I will be inspired and highly motivated through dealing with someone else's stuff. Remembered to pretreat yesterday's spill on my shirt. Started a load of wash. Went to office store and bought a fill-in-the-blank erasable calendar to put up in kitchen. I will use it to post my meal plans and prepping, and also for cleaning tasks. I think it'll make sense to keep that stuff out of my regular planner. It's also far too big to lose! Clean out purse. Post in BIT thread. Go through some of the papers on the table. Do stretches. Work on taxes.

Thank you goldenthreads . You are always so encouraging and kind to everyone here. I love your idea of a large, erasable calendar! I bet I would find something like this useful as well, for all the reasons you stated. Can you tell me what "BIT" stands for? I don't often go to other Listzillas, though I might like to. As for me!: TA-DA😀 *I gathered round one of recycling *I brought this batch of recycling and some garbage to the trash room *I gathered up round two of recycling, and it already looks better in here! TO-DO⚡ *Bring last of the recycling to the trash room *Continue to consider my cleaning, organizing and packing timeline *Decide again upon which color moving tape goes with which room (I accidentally deleted the list, grrr) *PUPA something as a "bonus"/ motivation (because wow I am really dragging) ✨✨✨✨✨

Good afternoon, guys and dolls! My employer gave me an early start to the weekend because a snowstorm hit us mid-morning.
TA-DAH 1. Fed a lot more garbage into the bin before pick-up 2. Completely stuffed the recycling bin 3. Tossed old food into the compost bin (sad realization: even the smallest cabbage is too big for me, and pre-cut vegetables go bad faster). 4. Created a blog post based on paper copies; tossed papers 5. Bagged up toys that I bought post-Christmas for next year's Día de Reyes Magos gifts 6. Did NOT buy the impulse-filled cart that I created on a formerly-favorited website 7. Cleaned off the steps 8. Cleaned the remaining snow from the car 9. Dried and put away morning dishes
TO DO 1. Take a shower & prepare to try on all the clothes in my dresser (UGH!) 2. Launder the almost-falling-off clothes I've been wearing 3. Gather the matching "skinny" hangers for donation

After reading backwards... oxen good luck with the move! You're doing a great job being so methodical. (Written somewhat enviously by someone who moved three times with boxes marked "miscellaneous"!) goldenthreads I really liked a whiteboard calendar, but I lost the dry-erase markers ALL THE TIME. I took a tip from another Squaloree and select a calendar from the loads of freebies offered by business organizations and charities. An strong magnetic hook holds it to the front (steel) door and the nearby junk drawer always has something to write with. (And batteries. So many batteries!)

Good (late) morning! oxen Thanks for the very nice compliment! BIT is Buried in Treasures, a book written by psychologists/social worker who have worked with hoarders. There are various groups around the country in which there's a facilitator who helps with discussion of the topics of the chapters. Similarly, Ally and peaceseeker have revived BIT threads from a couple of years ago, and a few of us have started participating again in the conversation, led by prompts. In the book, you do various assessments and there are little homework assignments. Wrote info on new calendar/organizer; cleared one side of fridge and put it up. Made bed and had meds. Started dishes soaking. Clean out purse. Post in BIT thread. Go through some of the papers on the table. Do stretches. Work on taxes.
