Giving myself bonus points for immediately tossing the rubber band and twist tie that were on the scallions. I have such a habit of keeping things that might be useful.  Shredded the remaining gouda so it's ready when I want it. Discovered decaying scallions had messed up the acrylic bin they were in, so I soaked and then washed the bin right away. Fridge has a lot of empty space right now, so I wiped down all the open areas.  Mow lawn. Pick up tree detritus. Shop for groceries. |

Good evening, goldenthreads and razy and dustydaughter TO DO 1. Put two boxes into car 2. Used empty boxes to haul stuff out of the room I want to clean 3. Dish-washing 4. Handled my end of a crisis 5. Picked up the mail and sorted into trouble, fine, and trash  6. Put two steaks in freezer for next time I have company I've been watching videos by Midwest Magic Cleaning and it's helping me stay motivated, although he tends to clean Levels 7-9 of hoarding. TO DO 1. Sort the boxes I brought out of the room 2. When the boxes are empty, fill them again 3. More dishwashing |

razy, My niece just got back from a trip to your beautiful country. What a rugged, beautiful landscape! ta-da: Started a batch of vanilla (slit beans and put them in vodka). I have 3 different jars with beans sourced from 3 different places now. I plan to bottle it and give is as gifts and donate some to the raffle at work. Checked on the chickens. A couple are showing signs that they might start laying soon. I wasn't counting on any eggs until September, so it will be nice if they start within the next week or so. Prepared and ate breakfast Emptied the dishwasher to-do: Do some tidying/decluttering in the kitchen. Find 5 things to toss or donate. Fill out questionnaire for blood donation. They sent me a message last evening that they are short of my type of blood, and have several openings, so I signed up. (Now I'm sort-of wishing I didn't but it's a good cause. Keep well hydrated. CLA meeting in about 2 hours.

Hello All!!! It's nice to see you all here today! ta-da: Managed to toss several random items Completed questionnaire for blood donation Not a tada but... The toilet clogged up this morning  I have tried the plunger repeatedly. This usually works but when I attempted another flush, the toilet overflowed slightly.  Water was dripping through the floor into the basement! Ended up looking up other solutions. I found a few places that recommended removing as much water from the toilet as possible, pouring dishwashing soap into the toilet, letting it sit for 30 minutes, and then pouring a gallon or two of hot water into the toilet. Apparently it works well. I'm about to add the hot water. Wish me luck! |
