I had previously done one of 4--15 minute stints of disastrous den PUPA and cleaning. I just did an hour and 10 minutes more in there. So this part of challenges ---FINISHED. Much more to do , but not this month.

I had said I would do 30 minutes of weeding x4 , in the beginning of the month. Already had racked up 50 minutes in two weeding sessions. It may rain today or tomorrow soooo------ after PT this morning, I went out front and did 40 minutes of weeding vines and weeds. That makes 90 minutes. I am nowhere near finished, but my knees are !!! I guess one more session of 30 minutes will finish this challenge and more will have to be done later. I will rest now.

I just spent another 10 minutes on the closet. Oh, my gosh! There is a pair of barbell weights, but no bar, and they are of different weights. I also found my missing cooler buried under a yoga mat (not mine). Surely those weights and maybe the mat can go. I will propose taking them to the sports resale shop.

I finished emptying the closet, cleaned the surfaces, turned a bowed particle board shelf upside down, and sprayed the stinky carpet and some cloth surfaces with Febreze.
Waiting for it to dry.

I have to leave the house for an appointment soon, but I did manage to do 35 minutes of front yard weeding, so that part of challenge is finished. It is so hard to do.

I rent, and have a closet that is ostensibly mine, but the landlord has stuff in there that's his, too
Okay, that's really weird...tell him you're going to charge him rent to keep his stuff in your closet!
It sounds like this is a really good cleaning project, maybe you can show him what's in there and ask if he could get rid of just a few things.
Catcats, you did really good this month, especially working in an attic during summer.
I am finally back here to post, I told myself I couldn't post until I got the place back to baseline, and I finally achieved that this evening. Now the trick will be to keep it that way.
I will do a final post on the 31st, maybe I can do a little more on the things I didn't finish yet. I did repot another plant last week so that goal is done. Unfortunately the last week of these challenges I'm eager to start on the next list instead of finishing up the last things I didn't do!

Diane, I totally understand that you are thinking about next month's challenges, rather than being too interested in finishing this month's !! I have been doing the same thing. catcats

Oh good catcats, then I'm not the only one! I already have 4 new things for next month.
I did look at where I am with the goals, some will carry on to next time, but I still have 2 cabinets/drawers to clean out and I'm going to finish them in the next two days so I don't have to carry that one over.
I also checked to see which plants I repotted this month and it looks like I only mentioned 2, so I looked in my plant room and I remember repotting a haworthia, this must be the one I didn't mention. It's another one of the "mystery" varieties that they either give you for free with an order, or else sell at a low price because they can't positively identify it. I have several other haworthias and this one doesn't look exactly like any of them, so it really is a mystery.
This past week I repotted Trailing Jade cuttings so I did do 4 this month. So many more to go.

I'm still not posting my final total because I'm determined to finish my clean 4 drawers/cabinets goal. I cleaned one drawer today and will do one more before the end of the day.
I'm posting the new challenge though, for those of us who can't wait to get started!

I finally started the conversation with landlord. He doesn't have time today, but will tomorrow, probably. I will not charge him rent, because I'm sure I'm paying the lowest rent possible in this metro area.
I have put a few things back, including jackets (my priority).

I did finally unpack the Roomba yesterday and read some instructions. I have to do it with a smartphone when I set it up and don't know where to set it up so I am nervous about it.
I finished the challenges.

Nested the coolers. Finished putting my things back so that they're easily accessible. Put a couple of his things back. I think we're going to talk tomorrow about what he wants to keep. Wish me luck!

Golden, I hope your landlord will realize that he can give up some things, or at least move them to his own living space.
Catcats, you have to use a cell phone to use the roomba?? Ugh, even if I wanted one I wouldn't get one if I had to use a cell phone with it. I hope you can figure it out okay. Here is my final list for August.
1--Bring every room/work area in house back to baseline once per day -- I finally got back to this a couple of days ago and will continue into next month
2--Basement sorting -- 30 minutes done of a goal of 30 minutes -- THIS IS DONE!
3--Old paper -- goal of 30 minutes THIS IS DONE!
4--Book data entry -- goal of 30 minutes left over from last challenge -- NONE done
5--Repotting houseplants -- goal of 4 -- THIS IS DONE!
6--Organizing older files -- 20 minutes done of a goal of 30 minutes
7--Password project -- 20 minutes done of a goal of 30 minutes 8--Clean out any 4 cabinets or drawers -- THIS IS DONE, kitchen cabinet, TV desk pencil drawer, 2 hardware drawers in the upstairs kitchen
9--Read 1 book from my TBR pile -- THIS IS DONE!

Diane, my Roomba is a few years old and not a "smart" one. I just looked it up, and iRobot says that you don't have to use the app to run their smart Roombas. That was as of November 2021. Maybe catcats' Roomba is very fancy.
