1) Finalize a very difficult work task. Turns out it will be semi-ongoing but sort of a relief for all parties in the way we are handling it. 2) Get things to baseline for company visit at end of month. Company comes today and I'm almost ready. Just a small amount of effort this morning.3) Get guest room prepped for company visit. Done! 4) Finish DM's tax and estate stuff for 2022 - almost done! Finish our tax stuff for 2022. Also almost done. Done and filed - some refunds received - a lot more went out 5) Do a hard review of income/outgo. Too much travel this year. Our travel isn't as much the culprit as stuff around the travel. Clothes buying for specific events and temperatures. Gifts coming and going. Taking advantage of unique circumstances to buy things easier "there than here". And so on. I have two more trips this year and one also will require clothes I don't have. In review, we are "ok" to live as we are but not putting enough side for various necessary repairs and renovations. 2024 may be a year of "prep" - just spend time and money cleaning and de-cluttering. We'll see - best laid plans.

Catcats, looks like we will all be carrying projects into October!
PC, ugh, you have more travel this year--I guess it's because I never travel (literally never) but it sounds very challenging to me. Remembering to pack everything, dealing with delays, weather and sometimes other passengers who are unruly, maybe being in a different time zone and trying to sleep in a different place. Not to mention my being an introvert so not always liking to talk to strangers. I know some people thrive on it but I think it would be hugely tiring for me. I'm glad your tax stuff is done, that's always a relief.
I did repot another plant, a Zebra Haworthia--I don't know exactly which kind, since it was a plant purchase that was "three assorted haworthia." I've had them for quite a while in their tiny pots, and this is the biggest of the three so it's now in a larger pot. I also did the last 10 minutes of old paper. So I guess I'm done with what I can accomplish this month. The reading room was the big project for September and I'm happy with how much got done on that, although the office supplies will remain on the list. I will post the October Challenge and then figure out my list--it keeps expanding again with each month!
1--Bring every room/work area in house back to baseline once per day - working on it
2--Sort another book box for reading project - sorting done, reading some of the books will happen next month
3--Old paper -- goal of 30 minutes --30 minutes done THIS GOAL IS FINISHED
4--Book data entry -- goal of 30 minutes (40 minutes done) THIS GOAL IS FINISHED
5--Repotting houseplants -- goal of 4 -- All four DONE
6--Organizing older files -- goal of 30 minutes 7--Password project -- goal of 30 minutes 8--Reorganize cards/office supplies in reading room - did an entire reading room reorganization, still have office supplies in enclosed places to sort 9--Reorganize birds supply shelves -- THIS PROJECT IS DONE
10--Reorganize enclosed back porch -- 20 minutes done

I did not do well with the challenges this month. I did do the complete revamping of the big kitchen utensil drawer. and I did get the current medical appts. out of the way. But that was it.
I will have to think more about what I want to carry into October, but not tonight.
It was not a bad month though. I did lots of other things, but not most of the actual challenges. I kind of switched horses in the middle of the stream, I guess.

It's all good catcats, as long as we're doing something!
