I decided to go in the garage with the purpose of taking things to the trash. Its a large open dumpster that people use for furniture and good things to display for others who live here. I let go two large bags of stuff, including baskets that were used for storage but as i am decluttering i won't need all the extra storage (that's the plan anyhow)

Done: Achieved coffee table zero Achieved dining table zero Wiped down kitchen worktops Cleaned stove Meal planned and ordered groceries for the week Stacked and ran dishwasher
Also did some plotting over storage and decor. Looking at a cube unit to replace some of the stacked boxes in the spare room, make it a bit neater. Lack of storage opportunities is a real problem in this house. Also looking at some paint colours for the hallway, so may try and pick those up tomorrow.

Sounds like people are getting things done !!
Yesterday, besides the dailies, I decluttered 2 hassock-type storage boxes in my bedroom. They both held purses and a few other small things. I was able to trash 4 purses which were too faded to donate. Three of them were cloth and had been used and washed for too long. I found a medium size plastic bag full of orphan socks. I was going to pitch them, but instead , I relocated them to the linen closet. They will make good dust cloths to use once and throw away.
Today, I did all the dailies and took the trash downstairs to the outside bin. Did laundry. Did a bunch of kitchening. I was going to vacuum the rugs, but opted to carpet sweep them instead. Amazing what that carpet sweeper does pick up ! Cat fur and cardboard shreds from the scratch pads that my cats use. I also went through and sorted and decluttered a lot of mail that was on the dining room table. Wrote out a bill and a donation and sent my dear nephew a letter , written in 1983, that I had gotten from my Mom's desk almost 30 years ago when I cleaned out her apartment after her death. He had written it from Moscow when he was stationed there when he worked there for his job. I did not attach a note or anything to it. He will so surprised when he opens it !!!
I also unpacked a large box of cat supplies for the Breeze box they use. Took that all downstairs.
Enjoying what everyone writes and accomplishes. catcats

Wow catcats how fun for your nephew to get that letter I did some of my list: No library visit as they are all closed for Labor Day Returned bottles Bought cat and dog food Made a deposit at credit union to pay a bill Kept up with trash, recycling Cleaned litter Emptied dehumidifier Vacd living room Vacd upholstered furniture Vacd stairs I had bought some party supply stuff for DD bday and I did not need them so I went to return at a dollar store. They only do exchanges not returns. So the clerk said go find five items. I was like wow i can pick out anything like I won a big prize. I roamed around. Saw some full size frozen pizzas and I was again like wow a pizza for 1.25? Turns out they were five bucks. I ended up buying some little storage containers as I am trying to clean up an area. They are cheaply made but will do for now as I figure out best storage options for this space. I cooked dinner using up my pantry Did dishes Took puppy for a walk Gave girlcat her drugged up tuna juice; it is so working as a stress free way to get to take her medication Next do my 20 piece thing

Bree---Right now, I don't have to give my cats any meds, but for future use---do you just pour off tuna juice from a can of tuna or can you buy just the juice ? Thanks in advance. Glad your precious girlcat seems to be feeling better.

Hi catcats thank you!!! I just buy cheap tuna in water from aldis and pour the water off into a dish with the ground up pills. I also put a little tuna in but just a little as I want her to drink the water which has been mixed w the drug. She pretty much drinks it all! I then give her more tuna and I give some to boycat and puppy and me. I just give puppy a little bit. I should check out pet stores to see if I could buy the juice but this works for now!

good morning everypony!
I have not been able to find tuna juice. tried clam juice once, but the cat wasn't interested. after pouring off the tuna water for the cat, I add more water to the full can and let it sit for a day. I get one or two more servings this way! (the tuna isn't very good after that, though)
I got up after I posted and did a bit more work on the kitchen. got up early this morning and did a tiny bit more. then worked on some mid century interior images I found last night; editing them and sharing with DVD. I am trying to find some overlap with some bright curtains DVD bought when Disney refurbished their Paradise Cove hotel.
the sun is up but I am going to try and go back to sleep.

Good morning everyone! Scholar, how clever of you to reactivate the tuna juice! Bree, I'm glad it's working for the meds.
They have tacked on another day of 90s to the current string so now it won't get cooler until Thursday. But the week after that looks pretty good.
TO DO:
10 minutes on first floor Start load of laundry 10 minutes refilling animal food containers Sweep bathroom and hallway

Happy weekend, all! I am back to work on my bathroom this weekend. It’s going to be hard to list tasks because the big one that has to be done first is simply clearing the trash from the floor. So that’s it, that’s my list for today: work on clearing bathroom floor. If I can clear 75% of it, I can move on to smaller, less overwhelming tasks like wiping down the sink and cleaning the mirrors. But clearing the floor has to happen first.

Happy Sunday Hello mylittlescholar, Diane and junebuggya hot one here too, Diane, heading to just below 90 Even puppy was subdued when we were just outside poor puppy was stung on her leg by a hornet or wasp. I had that active, nasty nest which was removed. All quiet on the western front. Then after a few days, I noticed some activity there, not as wild as before. I think this could be a new group! ugh. call into exterminator yesterday. I also called to get a driveway sealing estimate. Need to get my gutters cleaned too. cha-ching cha-ching I did do my 20 piece thing very late last night. i was up crazy late, until 4. not good idea on my part. boycat relentlessy wakes me up and so I am sure (I hope) a nap is in my future some really good news - girlcat came in my room last night and jumped in my bed! she has not done this for several weeks today's plans see if I can return a steamer to target - DD said it was malfunctioning do at least one load of laundry vac LR and upstairs hallway pay bills do college form - this will help me so why am I dragging my heels! maybe send out a trail balloon to one sister to see if she'd like to get together later today. she is hard to pin down, she hates to commit, and often has reasons why she can't make it (she has valid complicated life stuff going on), and will mostly never come to my house, I always have to go to hers...but when she agrees it is fun... I might be taking nap sooner than later so far I fed the animals showered/dressed went to church ate lunch very groggy!

Good afternoon june, good luck with clearing the trash--maybe put on some good music to give you energy?
Bree, I'm so happy to hear that girlcat is holding her own. And poor puppy with a sting--did you say the nest was in a tree stump or something? Maybe you have to fill in the hole so it's not so inviting? Or maybe there were just random ones flying around the area.
I rescued a small stinging? insect from the water bowl this morning, I didn't recognize it so maybe it was one of those hoverflies again but this one was smaller. I fished it out with a leaf and left it on the ground without waiting around for it to dry off and maybe sting me!
I'm going to eat lunch now and ponder my reading room--I think I'm ready to start reorganizing the cards but if I do what I'm thinking of doing I'll have to transfer more things around and it'll take longer. But I guess it doesn't matter, I enjoy this kind of sorting.
Diane
