Yeah, it's crazy junebuggy, but part of the deal on the bathroom is that I don't pay a penny until I'm satisfied and any issues have been fixed, so the onus is on them to fix it. They're a big national company, so online reviews will have power there too. I've really worked hard this last year, including in therapy, to try and let go of things that are outside my control - very difficult for a Type A personality like me! - and just accept things will work themselves out even if I am not micromanaging. Good luck with your garbage bag therapy! Getting rid of all of that is going to feel so good!
Done: Emptied dishwasher Stacked and ran dishwasher Set out clothes for tomorrow Achieve coffee table zero Achieve dining table zero Emptied living room trash
Tied off the garbage bags, and boyfriend has prepared most of our recycling for a recycling centre trip after work tomorrow. Doing a bit of self-care now with a sheet mask, some music and re-ordering my vitamins. Good luck everyone with your lists tonight!

In the garage we sent back the table and chairs we borrowed from the dumpster a few months ago. We have collected several chairs and i can put things on those chairs instead when i need to DH half filled a contractor bag of old wires and electronic things from back in the day I carried out the trash and a old Kehrig we also borrowed a few months ago and never used. It was just sitting in a cupboard like a prize I hung all the laundry to dry instead of using the dryer
June Don't blame you on the clothes if you didn't miss them they are probably not worth keeping. I hope you make your trash goal today.
Forgot to say i went out at 4pm and sat with my feet in the grass. I was so comfortable that i only just came back upstairs. I can see why dogs like being in the grass on hot days.

It was just sitting in a cupboard like a prize
Oust, you're letting go of so much stuff, and your DH even let go of some electronic stuff!
Reve, ugh on the bathroom remodel, hopefully you'll be so busy with work and decluttering that you can avoid that room and concentrate on other things.
June, I hope you're cleaning your bathroom floor right now! If you're still having trouble starting, picture a grid on the floor and just do a square foot at a time. You can certainly do one square foot, that's not so scary. Then take a break and do another. You can do it!
I worked some more on the bird supply shelves, wow, I didn't realize quite how unorganized they were, I'm still not done. And then the reading room, which is actually fun since it's playing with cards, stickers and office supplies.
I'm reporting on my book project. I originally had 9 books, 4 were going to go, and I was going to read 5. Well, I started reading one and read about 50 pages, and the premise was good but in it an elderly man was losing his health and his kids were trying to push him into a nursing home, probably so they could get his money...and I found it too depressing to read right now. Maybe because of my shopping friend's situation, or because I'm feeling old, or whatever reason, I didn't feel like continuing so I'm counting this one as going out. Of the remaining 4, I've read 2, the one set in 1918 which I really liked, and a historical mystery which I finished today that I just loved. I didn't realize it's the first in a series but the author only wrote two, one in 2018 and one in 2019 so I'm not sure if there will be more--I already put the second book in the series on my library reminder list (NOT my order list, although I was tempted). It's about Arthur Conan Doyle and two companions being asked to help in the Jack the Ripper murders in Victorian London. The story was really inventive, I loved this book. So much so that I'm going to keep it, at least temporarily...I guess keeping one out of the nine isn't bad. The title is A Knife in the Fog, by Bradley Harper.
Anyway, that leaves two books still to try to read. As I said, both are historical fiction and I've now read two of those in a row, I don't like reading the same kind of books over and over. One is set in the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, the other in my favorite period, WWII, so not from the same time periods, but still. So I might catch up on some library books that I already have, until I can sort another box of fiction and trade out two of another type of book and wait on these historical fictions. I'm kind of afraid of sorting another box because I'm afraid I'll want to keep them all.
I'm done for the day now, I will have dinner and then start getting ready for bed. Good night everyone, see you in the morning!

Well, it was up to 95 here today and while heat doesn't usually bother me too much, today it did ! I did all the dailies and unpacked and mostly put away a large Walmart order this afternoon. Noticed that my front porch mint was looking very poorly and withered this afternoon, so I trimmed it back a bit and watered it well. Watered the rest of the porch plants too. Running the DW now.
Wishing good things for all.

Good morning!
Just two more days of heat and then two days in the lower 70s. I'm waiting for the dog to wake up and want to go out.
I will keep working on my reading room today, I had kind of changed my mind about moving the lighted plant table, but now I think I want to do that again, the space will work better. It will take some time, though.

I cleaned carpets at my parents this weekend - tried to get these super annoying stains out. When I went to look at them last night it was too dark to see if it worked. But what a difference cleaning the carpets made overall. As clean as my parents were and how quietly they lived (shoes off at front door, no parties etc) I pulled so much dirt out.
Took my mom shopping and then to lunch and then to visit my dad. It was so hot out it was physically draining. When I went back to help her shower she was falling asleep in her chair. (I had dozed off when I went home as well). We decided not to shower but I changed the bedding and DH hung a picture.
All I managed to do at home was several loads of laundry. And a sink full of dishes. And the trash out.
I hope my energy rebounds today!

Good morning ohblondie! It sounds like you did not have a holiday weekend, you had a working weekend! Your dad is still in the hospital?
The dog was finally ready to go out, the mosquitoes were not biting much so I stayed out for a while. I did the birdbaths, watered the tree, did some weeding and cut easily reached branches from the mulberry trees in the back in anticipation of the handyman trying to work out there later this month. I cut up those branches and the last few waiting from last time. I have one extra day until garbage pickup this week, because of Labor Day I don't have to put the cans out until tomorrow, so I will make sure I fill the yard waste can.
I came in when the sun came over the tree, and now I need to cool off.

Good morning everypony!
we got some paint samples on the wall to see how it looks. are undecided about the trim, so DVD wants to defer that as we have a deadline. okay, I guess, as he is doing the painting! but I am pulling the blue painter's tape off if he doesn't.
we also went mattress shopping yesterday so I will order today. and there are two or three bedframes we are looking at on Craigs List. all in different towns, so if we get one that will be a drive.
I didn't do any work on DMIL's house yesterday, so back at it today. and I need to schedule with my helper.
also nail down the movers situation. the quote we got is more than his mom wanted to spend, so I need to see if I can negotiate.
another urgent thing is tickets and overnight arrangements for a weekend away for DVD's bday.
DONE: caffeinated updated log
checked online balance checked email checked calendar updated challenges
okay I am still sleepy going back to bed

Good morning scholar!
I'm currently doing the thing where I go into the reading room to work for 5-10 minutes, get overwhelmed, and have to go out for a few minutes. Then I go back in again and repeat. I did get the plant table moved to the other side of the room, but now I'm figuring out what to do with the other stuff, and deciding what to keep and what to get rid of. I have extra stuff in there from seedling season, which won't start again until March or maybe February. So do I bring that down to the basement in the meantime or tuck it under the table where it will look messier but still be in the room where it'll be needed again in six months. Basically some boxes of stuff. I also have a very nice wooden chair in there that there isn't really room for, unless I put something else on top of it (the narrow dresser that I brought up recently) in which case I can't use the chair for sitting. The dresser needs to sit on something otherwise I have to bend too low to the floor to reach the lower drawers. It's currently on a storage bin but I would need to fill up the storage bin with something solid because it's already pushing the lid of the bin in.... Decisions, decisions.
I think I will see if the chair is flat enough for the dresser to sit on it. I like the way the chair looks and would rather have it in that room than downstairs. I do have a step stool that I use to put my feet on when sitting in my reading chair, so even if I need someplace to sit while working on plants I can sit on the step stool.

I like the dresser on the chair, it fits perfectly and I can move the storage bin. Now I'm thinking about moving something else, a shelving unit.
I will stop to go down and feed the dog and check for mail and packages.
