TwinkleToes you are on the move today!! reve I need to get "angry" and tackle my bathroom! it needs some serious scrubbing it is friday - I was late to work as there was an accident on the major highway. I am hearing there were accidents all over this morning. It wasnt raining, it wasnt snowing, no idea why! We had a ferocious storm swing through last night. It stormed and stopped and stormed again. My employee had two trees fall on her house and car. Thank goodness no one was injured. Earlier in the summer I took a small bookcase and put it in my bedroom. I used it to organize my shorts/capri's/jeans. I was also able to store all of my white summer pants and my skorts. I noticed when I washed clothes it was easy to put them away as they had a home. And since they were put away, I "saw" them and was able to make sure they got worn throughout the summer. When emptying out a storage unit I discovered a similarly sized bookshelf but taller. I am thinking of using that one instead and I can home all of my pants/jeans/sweatshirts/ etc. Now to find the missing fall clothes that I have been searching for forever!

Good morning all!
Wow, everyone get out of TT's way, she's serious today! Very impressive that you can take the frustration of a bad day and turn it around to get positive things done! And I love when people take a vacation day for this purpose--getting things in order in your home can give you as much peace of mind as an actual vacation would.

Ohblondie, much as I love books, I think bookcases also make great storage for all kinds of things. And yes, putting away dry laundry is painless when there's an easy to reach place to put things!

Showered
Stripped bed
Gathered up all of the laundry
Laundry load 1 in washer
PUPA half bath
Put away clothes that were hanging to dry
Cleared the top of the clothes dryer which was a mess
Unloaded dishwasher
Put away the dishes that were in the dish drainer dry
Made a pitcher of tea
Cleared the kitchen counter to the right of the sink
Laundry load 1 In dryer
Laundry load 2 in washer
Made second pitcher of tea
PUPA master bath
Unpacked a bag from a trip I took a couple weekends ago
Took trash out of master bath
Took trash out of half bath
Filled sink with hot soapy water and threw some dishes in (my dishwasher hasn’t been working very well)
Put away some random stuff, went threw a small bit of paper stuffs
Took meds
Laundry load 2 in dryer
Laundry load 3 in wash
Handwashed a load of dishes
threw yucky stuff out of fridge
Shined sink
Cleaned out a purse and put it away
Cleaned out a large bowl that ends up catching all kinds of stuff. It is now EMPTY. Yayyyy
Cleared a flat surface in my living room
Put away several random things as I was walking around
Ate breakfast
Made bed with freshly washed sheets and blankets. Yayyy
Load 3 in dryer
Load 4 in wash
Folded 3 loads of laundry
Put away 3 loads of laundry
Cleared a flat surface in a bedroom
Put away and threw away several random things as I am walking around - this is making a huge difference.
Started bag of donations
Replaced trash liner in master bath
Replaced trash liner in half bath
Cleaned out two pockets of another purse (one to go) - lots of little decisions that are exhausting mentally
Now ten minute break

good morning everypony! what an inspiring read today.
we are continuing to make progress on fronts at both houses. I had help with cleaning and organizing kitchen shelves and their contents at DMIL's, and DVD put the first coat of paint on the ceiling.
I spent the night at our house because the cleaners were scheduled early. I was late arriving the last two times, and didn't want to do that again! it made kitty happy, though he is not thrilled with the reason.
I had a tough time waking up this morning. Did the tiniest bit of prep for the cleaners. It will be easier when we get LD's stuff out of the kitchen! Theoretically sometime next week.

Good morning danny and scholar!
I dug out the little rice cooker that I bought a couple of years ago, used once, and never used again. If I remember correctly, I was afraid to use it around the birds and the birds were upstairs then, so I had to bring it downstairs and close off the room it was in with a curtain. Now the birds are downstairs, so I can use it up here where I can close the door of the room its in and keep an eye on it, since it was a cheap item and I haven't used it for 2 years. I cleaned it, read the directions again, and filled it up with brown rice, I'll see how it works. I have three kinds of brown rice now--regular, quick cook, and instant. I need to use up the older stuff and figure out which is best to use. Regular is a lot cheaper so if the rice cooker works well it makes sense to use that. When using the microwave, the quicker cooking makes it more likely that it doesn't boil over all over the microwave.
It is 63 degrees here! Now, at 11am! It's also sort of misting out there. Gorgeous air is coming in the back door.

catcats congratulations for taking time to watch the world go by. I am coveting a front porch just for that reason! So many people have decks and sit in their back yards (me included) and we miss the neighborliness of a wave and hello. I love my deck - and I love hanging out there - but it is really isolating if I dont actively invite people over. And we know that is not likely to happen any time soon. Lunch and meeting so off I go

Wow, the rice finished fast, it does look a tiny bit overcooked maybe but I don't think that matters since it'll be mixed in with veggies and beans. This was definitely easy and fast, I guess I'll be buying regular brown rice from now on and saving some money.

Hi folks, Enjoyed reading your posts today  Super hot here - the fan is in full swing and I'm already out of work clothes to get full benefit of it. I think getting the back door open is a great idea actually. Done: Bleached toilet Watered planters at front door Cleared air dryer Took several books into work Load of laundry Boyfriend emptied dishwasher and ran it again with new scrubber in it, so it's ready for another go at the oven! To do tonight: Water plants in kitchen Trim and water lilies in living room Replace air freshener in bathroom Wipe down bathroom surfaces Clean toilet Empty bathroom trash Empty living room trash Living room 5 min PUPA Laundry from machine to dryer Weekend to do list: Put laundry away Change towels bathroom Take upstairs laundry downstairs and run a load Take backpack to spare room Find a place for electric toothbrush plug Dust bedroom and take duster downstairs Go through shoes and declutter odd shoes and anything that does not fit in shoe organisers Go through entryway unit and declutter old shoes and put air fresheners in proper basket |
