Just one more day til the weekend, reve!
it's a symbolic start....
Oh, I like this!
I went downstairs and moved the last load of laundry to the dryer, and then the dog wanted to go out again. While out there I cleaned the birdbaths and I collected some white sweet clover seeds in a bowl, and almost brought an earwig inside with the seed--luckily I saw it in time and put it back on the plants.
It's very pleasant out there right now.

Dailies, phone payment for credit card, mail written out for tomorrow. Things to attic and basement. Other things brought back. Big Walmart order brought in and unpacked. Kitchening and much PUPA. More time on papers from DR table. Much to Recycling. Much time sneezing. Allergies are terrible. My back is complaining. And it appears---so am I.
My best to all. Hoping everyone has a blessed day tomorrow.

Busy night last night I had a lovely visit with my dad I had a sandwich for supper 1/2 tuna 1/2 egg salad/ I am addicted to both I had a meeting then I stopped in at the football game. We won! I didnt stay til the end though as it was soooo cold. I sat in the top row of the bleachers and the wind cut right through you! I sat with a co-worker who has a son on the team.
Two houses in my parents neighborhood went on the market. One is dated and not in neutral colors (blue bathroom/blue countertops and possibly blue toilet not sure). One has stainless appliances and granite countertops but is decorated in a very specific style. My parents house is a little bit dated but oh so neutral. Dont need to paint or anything to move in.
OK - I had better get to work and distract myself from needless worrying

Good morning ohblondie!
Catcats, allergies and back pain together, ugh. I haven't had any allergy symptoms yet but I suppose it won't be long.
Last night was another one that was bad early, but then was okay. The dog had to go out again shortly after the first time, but then settled down. I slept late an hour late again so that I got around 7 hours. I should be mowing the lawn right now but I just can't seem to summon the energy to go out. Not to mention that the lawn is very wet with dew, I guess that'll be common now that it's cooler weather but it makes it harder to mow.

Diane my house is 65 au natural. It is in the 60s today and won't go higher, very sunny. Nice fall day. I don't want to turn on the heat just yet. mylittlescholar and catcats thanks, I am hoping DD is doing better, she was meeting a friend from home this week who goes to a different college in College Town so I hope that was fun. This friend has a car so I think they were headed to the mall. Hoping she is doing better! work is getting ugly. Sigh. Don't feel like going into details but there is a power struggle going on ...we have a big project to do and as a result another division will likely lose some of their power. The leader plays dirty, lies and goes out of her way to harm people's reputations. an ugly cocktail of bad behavior. Liars are the worst to deal with! it is very upsetting to hear some of her talk. I am happy that i Had to call in for jury duty but never had to go in. I think it would be interesting but I am overly analytical and I think I'd be very unpopular among the other jurors! yesterday I had a meeting at work that provided lunch and I could take extras for my dinner! very happy about that. plus they had brownies! Yesterday ended up being a really difficult work day and you can see it in my house. need to do dishes (thankfully not many due to free work meals) and general cleaning. I did do some weeding in the backyard on Wednesday. Puppy has her nightly walk. I have been plying here with bones to give me a little bit of downtime when I get home from the office, tired, to a happy, eager well-rested pup! I am tying this under the watchful eye of girlcat! She has a new lease on life! so far today fed the animal kingdom took puppy to daycare. did some emails plotted out three projects that I'd like to focus on today. I also want to run some errands at lunch. mostly cat and dog food!!

Diane--Maybe the dew will dew its thing and evaporate so you can go out and mow, after all. bree---What a lousy work environment. Lying, power plays, etc. I'm sure it does affect your housework. Glad your girlcat is happy. I have taken the mail to the box and watered my Spider plant in the DR. Started a laundry, cleaned cat pans, and tidied kitchen. Made my bed. Our baby Aidan , who recently had his first birthday, is walking now. I think I will see him tomorrow when I visit my DD. She is babysitting. I am so excited. It's the little things in life---- I need to get moving and do some cleaning around here. catcats

Oh catcats...
I just took the dog out--this morning she didn't want to go even though the last time she was out was before midnight, so I gave her her meds and a little food and let her sleep until she wanted to go. The sun is really hot out there! I couldn't mow now even if I wanted to...which I don't. I feel like I'm moving in slow motion today, everything is an effort.
Instead of yard work, I will try to concentrate on my two reading room plant tables--I did a little work on them yesterday but they're still a mess, maybe if I get them under control I'll feel like I did something useful.

Wow, I just spent half an hour on the plant tables and you can hardly see a difference. Some of that time was potting up spider plant cuttings that had been sitting in perlite for too long, but they grew some really strong roots so I'll see how they do. After I rest my back I'll go do another session.
I've been deleting almost all the easy emails as they come in so mostly what I have left are hard ones, some dating back to 2020. It's depressing seeing those, because some are still when my sister was here and I was ordering things for her. Then after she died there are all the condolence emails from people who knew her. I need to really work on the old stuff so that that year and 2021 are gone. The problem is there are so many book emails and every time I try to read them I find books that I just absolutely MUST read right now!
I did give in and put a book on my library order list a week ago and I see it's ready, it only came out this month so I thought it would take longer. It's number 3 in an Anne Cleeves series, those are always so good. And even if I didn't know the series I would want to take the book out just from the cover--the title is The Raging Storm, and there is a raging ocean storm on the cover, it's beautiful. I don't have to pick up the book until next week though so I will wait.

I took DH to a job today and he sat in the car waiting for me under a tree. The breeze was good and its cool enough to enjoy the weather. Costco was our lunch stop 2 cheese slices one ice cream sundae and a couple of soda's. It does him good to get out. Then he had an old friend call him which really made his day.

Hi oust ! what do do with the essential oils ? Do they go into soaps or candles or something like that , or do you put them around for "pretty ?" It is a beautiful fall day here too; I can see why your hubby would enjoy sitting outside in the car on a day like this !! catcats

I did some more. Cleaned a bunch of spots of unknown origin from the dining room carpet. They came up easily, but made my back worse. Looks better though. They had been there so long; they were like old friends. Took a shower and washed my hair. Brought sheets and some clothes upstairs. Hung and folded the small load of clothes. Brought in 2 boxes of more stuff that came from Walmart and placed boxes on the back porch for recycling. We don't have to break down boxes here. I nest them. So lucky that we don't have to break them down.
Wishing good things for all.
