I am still slogging away at this desktop. Got everything off and dusted. There are two small drawer bins holding things to be filed. A lot of papers got tossed. Some important papers have been set in a pile and they will be handled tomorrow.
At one point I needed to get out. So I went on the deck to get some fresh air; nope, not good enough. I needed to get OUT. DD1 and I took a short ride with the car windows partly opened. It seemed to clear our heads. Surprisingly warm, blustery winds, pretty leaves.
It helped.

Diane glad dog seemed better w walking! danny15 would it help to make a small goal for books like just have a goal of finding 10 to donate for example per day? I took a longer break than I anticipated! Then I sorted through DD cast offs and found some to donate but some are top brand names in great condition and I might try to sell after all. Then I went off on my errands; I really love the freedom to tun errands -it might be because as a single mom who works full time, I rarely had that freedom especially when DD was little . So I: Dropped off clothing donations Redeemed bottles Made a return at a drug store Went to a home store and bought furnace filters Went to pay a bill in person for cable Went to a grocery store, made an exchange and bought a few items including popcorn. A cheap tasty snack. So after those six stops, I came home and pretty much left right away to walk puppy before dark. It was a very cool and windy night. Not many people out. Did not even see one deer! Came home, made a veggie burger for dinner then some popcorn. Turns out puppy loves popcorn I have been texting DD a bit. ❤️ I have to go make up the bed from my laundry then my plans are pretty simple- watch some Netflix and start a book. The book is due today! It is not too long so I might try to read it and return to drop off bin before library opens to avoid my fine! Otherwise I’m out some change… I don’t like putting clean sheets on beds at all so I’ll get that over with, then it is free time. I will plan to finish my list Tomorrow after church and game. I am going to a watch party so I am looking forward to that Gnite all.

Oh, it's so nice to have fresh produce in the house! I had sweet potato with lunch, a banana in the afternoon and a fresh tomato with dinner!
Good night everyone, see you in the morning!

Thank you, lennon, for starting this weekend thread. Sounds like everyone is working hard and getting things done. I was pretty busy too, doing the dailies, and taking out trash and recycling, etc. Then I spent 2 and a half hours playing swapsy with seasonal clothes---at last. There are still a couple of heavy robes in the attic, but I didn't feel up to doing those steps. I was also doing laundry so I was already doing steps, using the basement. Did a small clean-up under the BR sink. There was some water there, but I found no leak. I did find a few clothes to donate, but I think some of the pieces that I put into the dresser will also end up being donated, but my focus today was to get the summer things put away and the heavier or long-sleeved things out and into the double dresser. Talked a long time with DD2 and in the evening, with my BFF in CT. Had to make 2 "business" calls about a bill I had already paid. I have so little tolerance lately for having to call places for business matters. AAA sent me a late notice, threatening to cancel my coverage and the bank said it had been cashed on the 16th. They said the papers crossed in the mail. I say---why do they send out notices like that so early ? Cost me the better part of a half-hour to make the calls. I wish everyone a nice Sunday. catcats

Happy weekend everyone 🥳 I'm declaring today the Last Day of Summer, the last sunny dry day we are due, so it's shed-cleanup day at the allotment for me.➡️ I had delayed sorting it out for the best part of three years, and it's taken hardly more than three hours 🤣🤦♀️🤣🤦♀️🤣🤦♀️🤣🤦♀️🤣🤦♀️🤣🤦♀️🤣🤦♀️🤣 Two bin bags of trash from it to take home, it's got an earth floor, so I've scraped off the top layer of soil too because the mice and hedgehogs were in there during the winter. OK picnic lunch over, time to tackle the next storage area at the lottie.

Hello decade, good work getting your shed cleaned up! I have so much to do in the yard and it's just not going to happen, we're 1-2 weeks away from our usual first frost date.
Catcats, the last time I finally got my medical bill payment straightened out the rep told me "you'll get at least one more billing for this and maybe two, just ignore them." They obviously don't have a way of quickly syncing payments to their billing procedure. Not only does that confuse the client and cause all parties unneeded customer service calls, but think of the paper they waste.
I apparently shut off my alarm again without having any awareness of doing so. The three yard trips yesterday were okay but the one in the middle of the night was not, she couldn't walk well at all. It was around 2am, so now she won't go out yet for a bit. I gave her meds and breakfast already since I woke up late.
Today is really chilly again although the next several days are near 70 and Tuesday's forecast high is 75, which will require the AC upstairs if it's very sunny. I'm trying to remember when I took it out last year, I know it was pretty cold by the time I was sure I wouldn't need it again.

Good morning. Yesterday: Emptied kitchen trash & replaced bag Took bag of trash to outside can Checked yard for ant mounds. Swept hallway. Swept front bathroom. Helped DS and DH move around some furniture in our master bedroom. Removed linens, blankets, pillows from our mattress we’ve been sleeping in that’s on the floor so mattress could be stood up against the wall. Moved some of my things like Kleenex box, shoes, dirty clothes bag, water bottle from floor next to my side of mattress to another room. Dusted dresser Dusted hutch/top of dresser. These 2 pieces are separate & very heavy. Helped assist with tools & parts while DS (who came over to help us) & DH made electrical repairs in master bedroom. Changed into little nicer jeans & top. DH & I drove 2 vehicles to DS’s house. (We are letting them use our old van for as long as they need it while they’re clearing out their mini storages—finishing up on their recent move. ) Helped entertain 2 yr old very active DGS for the rest of the afternoon! Loved that!! Helped with bedtime. So fun & so much love! Cleaned up their den floor for them. Covered with toys. Got DGS to put away a couple items. He was so overtired! He’s starting to say a few more words. (In speech therapy, now.) he’s very smart & trying to communicate. Definite improvement. Ate dinner with DS’s family. Was about 10 minutes away when I realized that I left my watch. We went back & got it. Before we could go to sleep, DH & I had to rearrange furniture again & put mattress down again, linens back on, etc. drank only about 24 oz of water. Cd

Good morning cando! Weren't you buying a bed? It sounds like you're still sleeping on a mattress on the floor? I'm glad you're getting to spend time with your grandson!
The dog was panting and when she does that during the day it usually means she has to go out. I asked if she wanted to out and she stood up, she is walking better than she was in the middle of the night. We went outside, but she didn't do anything! It's getting so I can't even read her signals anymore, so I now never know what to do.
My knee is still really hurting, I can't figure out what can be wrong with it. It makes me very unsteady while trying to safely get the dog down the stairs in her harness. If it continues hurting today I will try the Tylenol for Arthritis (generic alternative) that I bought after my Xrays but never even opened the bottle. I can't get anything done when I'm having so much trouble just standing up from a sitting position, or navigating stairs.
TO DO:
10 minutes on paper Start dishes soaking Restock water in fridge Delete 10 emails

Hi Diane, for your knee you could go to the Tommy Copper website. They have compression clothing. It can get pricey but worth checking out. They have a couple different knee sleeves for women.
Earlier in the summer one of my knees was getting so bad I considered a knee replacement. I got the compression sleeve and what a huge improvement! Of course, it's best to see a doctor first but this was such a tremendous help!
I also have their compression shorts and when I put those on, I can stand straight and walk and bend without pain. It was like a miracle. I almost cried with relief!!!!!! Those compression clothes make the difference between almost not functioning and feeling almost 100% improved!
From what I have heard the brand one chooses does make a big difference. Tommy Copper has excellent reviews.

Good morning everypony!
yesterday ended up being a play day after we picked up a free headboard for the bed. It's something we can paint for our SantaCore theme (i.e. will have stencils on it, European style). I really did not want to go out, but but the etiquette for free items is to pick up immediately. We ended up finding fun things to do afterwards. But I did nothing on the house or my other challenges.
I really need a day HOME (the opposite of danny15). I hope I can do that today. I just want to putter. And do some sewing.
DONE: made coffee updated log checked online balance checked email checked calendar
UP NEXT: wash up and get dressed do face take meds make the bed PUPA/PEEP wash dishes make a pattern for doll clothes

Hi danny and scholar!
Danny, this knee has never given me any trouble before a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still trying to think of why it's hurting--I'm starting to think it might have something to do with the cushion on my computer chair, once before I was sitting wrong and had leg pain, so I'm putting something under my desk to put my feet on to see if that helps. In my mind I keep hearing my shopping friend constantly telling me "get used to it, various things will be hurting all the time now that you're a senior!" I also gave in and took one Tylenol, I'll see if it helps. It doesn't feel like the actual knee joint, it's all the muscles or ligaments or whatever around the knee and up the back of my thigh, that's why I think it might be related to the way I'm sitting. And, I was sitting almost constantly for a few days last week when I had that computer thing going on. Of course, walking to Walmart didn't help, and lifting the dog isn't either.
The dog acted like she wanted to go out again but when I went and opened the door, she went the other direction. So then I got distracted by the book I had been reading last night and had to sit down and finish it. It was SO good--at first I thought it would be too "cozy" for me, but it was set in WWII London so really couldn't be too cozy, with all the hardships those folks faced. It's called The Air Raid Book Club by Annie Lyons, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes WWII London.
So now I need to get working again but really, really don't feel like it. It's almost lunch time so next I will figure out what I'm going to eat, then I will really need to be productive this afternoon.

The dog finally wanted to go out (for real) so we did that, and I brought her back in and did a few little things in the yard, nothing major. It's a beautiful day for it but I couldn't do much, plus being the weekend there are too many neighbors out.
I saw another bee!

Visited my DMom. We had ordered more supplies to be delivered to the group care home for her. They put all the big boxes in her closet without opening them. So, I got all those big boxes out of her closet & we opened them all & inventoried to make sure everything had been delivered. I’m so glad we did this as we order her special probiotics & they shipped inside one of the big boxes of disposable briefs. Ghah! These are expensive! I removed them, labeled & let one of the caregivers know to so they could lock them in the medicine closet. DH & I arranged all the rest of the supplies in her closet & dresser. DH broke down lots of boxes for the caregivers to recycle. Drank 16 oz of water so far. Put laundry load in washer. Saw where some ants are coming inside our house. Bbl. Cd

Thrilled to have the space in the lottie shed now to sit down out of the rain, Feeling proud and surprised that I left go of a whole bunch of old plastic sheeting and wood from the other storage area, we get a skip four times a year, so I've no excuse for not getting rid of allotment junk. There's room to transfer a bunch of seed trays etc from home up there next time. . Swilled out a bunch of super mucky gardening clothes, got bags and uniform ready for tomorrow, brought in clean laundry, oops, it's way past my bedtime, goodnight 🌛💤
