I checked to see if the dog wanted to go out and she said no, but I fed her, so she might want to go soon. It messes up her schedule to go out now because it's too close to 8, but I have to go by what she wants to do since I can't force her to do anything out there.
One more list before dinner.

Hi reve!
Almost time to get ready for bed. If it wasn't for my card mess the house would still be decluttered.

Today I roasted the 7 lb. turkey breast I bought. We are eating at my DGD's home, but this is for me the weekend after Thanksgiving and for DD to have turkey sandwiches afterwards too. Since I sliced all the turkey into 2 piles, I went ahead and made turkey soup with the carcass. Also made turkey gravy for the weekend. Did some laundry and paid bills, talked with my BFF in CT and Carolyn , and talked with my DS. Put trash out for tomorrow's pick-up and processed mail. My feet hurt and so does my back, but they are doing better already now that I am resting them. Did the dailies too. Just waiting to divide up the soup now. My best to all as you prep for the holiday or whatever it is you hope to get done ! catcats

I have been avoiding putting our master bathroom back together for over a month now. You might remember we had to clear the whole thing out when my husband fell through the ceiling and we had drywalll work done, today, That bathroom is my biggest goal.need to start with some self care, though. And I want to maintain everything that I have worked so hard on the past two days. Hubby vacuumed the floors in our bedroom, dining room, and living room last night.

TO DO:
Work on bathroom and guest room project. It’s overwhelming, which I recognize triggers my depression. So, I am hoping to use my coping skills. Focus on the present task, do what I can, make decisions, and remember it doesn’t have to be perfect.

Happy Wednesday! TwinkleToes you are amazing getting so much done! For the baseboards, I sit on floor and use those cleaning wipes. I should do all the baseboards in the house but I do try to keep up with the most visible ones! catcats congrats on all your t-giving prep being done I picked up DD on Monday. Happy dance! Before I picked her up, I did vac the entire house, dusted the furniture, quick mopped the kitchen floor so it was pretty clean and shining. I still have a problem with my paper. so I just put that in some stacks and a pile. I am off today. I am pretty tired. Monday was a fun busy day with DD and yesterday I worked in the office, and work is crazy still. Chaos and I found out we were being double crossed by a colleague. I won't go into all the ugly details but...this colleague tried to set us up to take fall for a project with big boss. to their surprise, big boss told colleague to basically get their act together. they were shocked! then colleague started asking us for information w/out telling us why and we uncovered some behind the scenes stuff they were doing to directly work against us! Chaos and I were in that one together. i was impressed by how chaos confronted them so directly. anyhoo that drama can wait until Monday! today I have to get shopping for groceries. take DD to a doc appt. go to bank. make a favorite DD dish we have some fun planned tonight, going to the ballet! it has been so busy with work that I missed two deadlines for my personal life for some good stuff. oh well. yesterday was my work open enrollment deadline and I did it at last minute. added stress. why did I not do it right away? the two deadlines i missed I started on but never completed and missed out. I want to get better at doing stuff now not later! I am a delayed decision maker!

Good morning!
Bree, I'm glad you're off today, you need a break after all the office intrigue. I guess Chaos is good for something, right?
TT, you got an early start today!
I am back from getting my booster at CVS. The entire trip, from my door, back to my door, was only 40 minutes! And 5 of those minutes was stopping to get cash from the ATM. If I had gone to Walgreens I would have been gone for 3-4 hours, of course, I also would have gotten to the grocery store during that time. So timewise it was good, but it was bare bones service--they didn't give me any paperwork saying what I got and what to do for adverse reactions, they refused to fill out my vaccination card, and they didn't have me sign anything once I got to the store because I guess I gave enough information online--usually they at least ask again if you have any Covid symptoms. My last booster was a year ago and maybe they've relaxed standards everywhere, but they at least should have given me a paper saying what I got. I did ask before they gave it to me to make sure it was Pfizer.
I felt bad because a very old guy came up to the counter, he was on crutches and missing part of his leg, and asked for a vaccination. He didn't have an appointment so they told him he had to go home and make an appointment. They were finished with me 20 minutes before the next scheduled appointment time so they certainly could have had time for him. I hope he has a computer or someone to help him make an appointment.
I will have to take the dog out again soon because this morning she did not have a BM and probably will need to soon. I will sit and rest until that time, and drink a lot of water since it's supposed to help with side effects.

Happy Wednesday everyone! What a crappy weather morning we had, so I was extra happy I was working from home.
DS is signing his lease over lunch so I pulled some things together for him. I had a brand new silver ware set in a silverware plastic tray/holder. I bought it when Kmart closed (that long ago). I actually remembered I had it and I actually remembered where it was. It is on the way to his new apartment. I gave him some mugs (I broke the auto parts store mug in the process which would have been perfect for him the mechanic)
He took the headboard out of my BR that we have been tripping over forever. I pulled 4 boxes out of storage. WHat he doesnt take will go to be donated. I think he still needs a frying pan. I think I have a dish drainer somewhere. Every time I take a break I look for more things.
He still needs plates and glasses. He works a few blocks from the house so every day I can pack up things and drop them off.
I have saved things forever. For a new apartment then a new house, then when the kids set up their own house. Well, I have hit all of those milestones so if it doesnt go with a kid now, it goes.
Lamps! I know I have a floor lamp and some table lamps for him and he will need those pretty quickly!!
OK - back to work - it is hard staying focused!

Ohblondie, how exciting for your son (and you!) to sign his lease and get into his apartment! I'm sure you will bring him so much stuff he will soon ask you to stop!
The dog did want to go out, and I fed her. I'm eating lunch now and I need to get started on doing something productive. I would like to work on challenge things this afternoon, and the ever present plant care. But I'm pushing "find insulating tape for windows" to the top of my list--it is really cold out today and I'm picturing the heating dollar bills flying out the window when I pass by and feel a little draft.
