Hello decade! Okay, I just can't seem to picture Queen Elizabeth at a self-checkout lane! Or any checkout lane!

😊 my new fridge came a day early, and humming away at an ideal 5°c✔ . A slow progress day, I'm envious at the lengthy schedule of tasks that other people manage in a day. Anyway, ➖old fridge taken to the dump ➖cleaned out new fridge & kept up with washing up ➖laundry hung out and brought in tonight ➖email and phone call towards a new job, it's where I've worked already with the agency, but have to check wether they will pay the transfer-fees (yep not only footballers get "bought" ) ➖filled out part of a new address book for my parents and checked some information for them ➖little bit of PEEP Nearly bed time now, will sort out work bag and few minutes of PEEP in lounge. . Thanks to "Audible" doing a free month of listening I've been listening to "The Autobiography of Kathryn Janeway" (from Star Treck, Voyager) Her exploration of carrying on while dealing with loss and separation was certainly good timing for me.

good afternoon, everypony!
However, I would stress that she is VERY quirky, I highly doubt anyone else would react the same way.
--, this is me. I am terrified of plant care! Either give me cut flowers (which, ironically, I am good at taking care of) or fake ones.
I will say that one of the 12 plants I started last year germinated and is doing well in the rain (it was an exercise that DVD helped me with). Swiss Chard for the win! I'm thinking about venturing indoors with Dracaena trifasciata this year.
DONE: melatonin last night
insomnia 6:00 to 8:00 doomscrolling 8:00 to noon nap made coffee tweaked current collage
washed up and got dressed call w/D call w/LD checked online balance checked email checked calendar made scan appt realized I had messed up my DIY calendar fixed the dates tried out the weekly "dashboard" left msg for allergist (phone tag)
I need to find my glasses. old ones are hard to see out of, cause of that dumb lens coating they insist on now. It deteriorates.
what else? put a load in the wash
locate check that came in the mail reply to email about it
locate tax papers check due date fill med minders update calendar w/ refill reminder
dishes duds dinner taxes errands?

Ooh, a new fridge decade, so nice! Is the new job you're trying for working at one facility instead of working for the agency and moving around?
Scholar, there are a lot of people who say they're not good with plants, but usually they just haven't looked up the care for that particular plant, plus they forget to water it...seriously! Or, they water it so much they drown it. Plant care is sometimes trial and error, I have had many plants die, and most of the time I learned not to kill the next one. Except for a few kinds--there are some that just don't do well for me, which may be partly due to the conditions in my house, but more likely are just that I haven't tried and erred enough to get the care exactly right.
I do remember seeing that they are now calling what I know as Sansevieria as Dracaena--at least, certain varieties. I'm not sure why, the Dracaena plants I have are very different from the Sansevieria. I have to say, the plant you mention is really one of the most hardy and forgiving! They do NOT like to be overwatered, but other than that, they can be in low light, they can be too dry, they can be in a too-small pot, but they seem to thrive anyway. I vote that you try one!
I fed the dog again, she didn't want to go out and I'm hoping she doesn't because then the 8:00 yard visit will go better.
I did a few little things, like placing another Walmart order and cleaning up the dog food prep area downstairs. It's almost time for dinner and I have to steam some veggies and open a can of beans or I will have nothing to eat.

Diane, I've already worked with the organisation I'm wanting to apply for via the agency, they have several different houses with clients around the town, the owner of the business seemed ok with paying the transfer fee when we talked before Christmas, but his business manager might persuade him that it too expensive, I think if it doesn't pan out I'll have to look properly for new jobs as work is too erratic with the agency now

Hello there ! I did the daily things today and went out early to bring my trash bins around back so the neighbor wouldn't do all of that before she went to work. A man with a Golden Retriever was walking by and I hadn't seen him since October. He and his wife had a new baby in November and I knew it was due then, but had not seen him. So I was able to snuggle with the excited Golden and see the new baby pics.. Such a nice visit ! Did some laundry, but it can stay in the dryer now. The DW is running. Made a pretty big pot of chili this afternoon and it is now in the fridge and freezer. I had a bowl for supper and thought it was good. I was sitting up, napping, on the sofa a little while ago, and now I am not one bit tired for bed. Hoping everyone is well and getting done what you want to get done !! catcats

Tuesday, after work. Folded/hung load of laundry Put away hand washed stuff from drainboard Unloaded dishwasher I washed a sinkful of dishes & DH did another sinkful plus pots, skillets, containers, etc. Tossed: 4 old dusty zip bags 15 Assorted papers/receipts from 2 purses 6 Junk mail Took 2 sacks of recyclable papers & small boxes to outside recycle can Took 8 larger boxes to outside recycle can Took 2 bags of trash to outside can
Put folded/hung clothes away Tried on 5 pairs of pants/jeans, 3 pairs of shoes, about 12-15 tops—to see what fits best & looks best & to create outfits. Got lots of items ready to pack. Unpacked suitcase & put away items that I’m not going to pack, again. I’ve been living out of this suitcase for nearly a year. We still have not unpacked the pod that’s in our driveway. I know that I just said that I’m still living out of the suitcase but I do have a bunch of pants/jeans & nice tops hanging in closet of daughters old room. The suitcase had my other clothes items in it. I have not lined the drawers in our bedroom yet.
Put vacation responder in my work email…I almost forgot. Went to sleep extremely late.

Good morning womble! That's great about your plant--so do you think you were watering it too much? Or do you think it needed fertilizer? I'm seriously looking at those now when I see plant websites, but I'm resisting buying any new houseplants--at least until the summer! I also want a parlor palm...
I had pretty good sleep last night. More intermittent rain in the forecast today, but comfortable temps--the high will be 39 degrees! Almost all the snow and ice is melted from the sidewalks in the back yard, so I feel safer walking around out there.

I think I was letting it dry out too much, I'll just let the top later of compost dry out now. Glad you had a good night's rest xx

Diane I had to laugh, i am like your friend with the cactus like mylittlescholar is too! to me a plant is another responsibility! I only have three plants at home and one little succulent at work. I like fake plants best the ones at home -- two I have had forever. maybe it is all the plant talk here but I actually bought plant food and potting soil earlier this week. My plant saga -- DD had given me a plant and a pot years ago as a gift from art class. The other two plants I have had for years. The gift plant died earlier this year, and I knocked one of the old plants on the floor and it came unpotted. So I put it in the dead plant's pot. Now it seems to be dying too. So I bought the soil and food to try and save it. The third plant is a little holly plant that seems to be quite perky. I think it is holly. A repotting question - should i put stones in the bottom of the pot to help with drainage? I am working from home. it is a very gray day here. yesterday was too. I took puppy for a walk in the drizzle last night. It had warmed up to the forties. But my boots could not withstand the wet, they are ok for snow but I actually had squishy socks with water in them as I walked along. soaked! today I suddenly realized it is trash and recycle day and I had to rush to get the bins out. I just reached the end of my driveway as the trash truck stopped there.. a little morning drama. I have lots of work tasks that i just don't want to do. I am just worn out. also home tasks. I should take a day off when puppy is at daycare to just clean. I am very unmotivated today! it is hard to keep the house clean with the animals mostly puppy going in and out with their wet muddy paws. sometimes the filth of having animals just gets to me. I love them but they are messy!!!
