Happy Sunday!
Diane I’m glad your dog is doing well and how impressive you’re almost done with your taxes.
We have sunshine here. It’s very rare to have such blue skies. But cold.
yesterday I had a good day -puppy is always tired after daycare day on Friday so Saturdays can be a little bit easier for me.
I had to do a lot of errands yesterday and I absolutely love to run errands so I plotted out my day. I had some hazardous waste household cleaners to recycle so I drove to a special recycling center. Just about a half hour from here but I love to drive so it was a pleasant trip. Happy to get rid of those things safely! when I was out that way, I drove by where I used to work quite a few years ago -this big sprawling complex- and also drove by where I used to live out that way
then i headed back to my side of town and I went to pick up prescription for girlcat.
and I went to return bottles. There were so many people returning bottles from fundraisers that I just donated mine to DD‘s former Varsity sport as they have an ongoing fundraiser there.
Then I went to that big w store - I have had a pair of eyeglasses that I have wanted to donate for a long time. In fact, I’ve had them tucked on the corner of my kitchen shelf for over two years!! they just appeared one day and I think they are owned by a friend of DD’s. I believe they appeared inthe beginning of senior year in high school for her , I didn’t want to get rid of them because I thought some parents are eventually going ask where are your glass? But DD said she didn’t know whose they were and they were gender neutral glasses …think they might’ve been her old boyfriends. Not sure anyway now that over two years of past I felt. I could donate them. The big W store used to have a program here where they collected eyeglasses, when I got there they said they discontinued that program so I ended up going to Goodwill
then I went to buy my sister a birthday present. She is a snowbird and will be heading to parts south shortly, so I usually get her gift that ties in with that trip so I got her a very pretty Sweater
when I came home, I took puppy for a walk for about an hour in this park that’s usually pretty isolated, but it was such a beautiful sunny day that there were people there; thankfully all the dogs were leashed.
came home with time to get ready for the birthday dinner. Wrapped my gift went off. We had a very nice dinner at a nice restaurant
So it was a nice day -a mix of errands, social event, dog walk. Just a good day.
I better get moving today. I want to put away my Christmas tree. Yes my Christmas tree!! it’s artificial it’s slender. It’s tucked in the corner and it’s pretty at night but holy moly it’s February so I’ll do that today.
also will take puppy for a walk today. I want to go to the pet food store today and church and just do general housecleaning, so that’s what I’m hoping to do . Have a good day.

Good morning bree!
My little Christmas tree is still sitting in my plant room! I think I mentioned that I hardly used it at all so after Christmas I set it aside out of the way and it's still there--good reminder that it needs to be put away, especially before seed season starts and I'll need all the surfaces.
The dog did want to go out, there is frost on the grass again today. Even though our highs are in the 40s or higher this week it's going below freezing at night.
A week or so ago I put out some carrot chunks since I saw rabbit tracks when there was snow so I know they're around. They weren't eaten the first night, but sometimes during the day the next day they were gone. So I put more out, and they've been sitting there untouched for days. This morning I found one of the chunks in the water bowl. Maybe a raccoon? I don't know if a rabbit would do that--I had a rabbit years ago and I don't remember him ever putting his food in his water bowl. The other chunks had bites out of them too, I think. So next time I go out I will bring fresh water and fresh carrot chunks.

I just spent some time researching sending back Zerowater filters to be recycled. I hate the idea of throwing them away but I think the cost will be prohibitive, not to mention the time involved. If you return a box of at least 2 filters (at your own expense) the company will give you $20 off your next filter purchase, but it has to be a purchase from their website. I looked up the cost of sending 3 filters back and it will be around $19.00 using a flat rate box, I didn't check my own box because flat rate is usually cheaper--and these filters are heavy. Plus, unless you buy at least 6 filters at a time from the company there's a shipping fee of at least $9. The cost of the filters at Amazon is a little cheaper (or a little more expensive depending on the listing) but I can get free shipping. So...cost wise I would probably have to pay a little extra to recycle, not to mention the effort of packing them up and bringing them to the post office and standing in line for who knows how long. So I think I have to discard the filters even though I hate to do it.
Okay, time for lunch.

I just had another long call with my shopping friend, at least this time we figured out 2 shirts and some fuzzy socks to order for her!
Now it's time to feed the dog and see if she wants to go out.

hi everypony!
Thanks, Diane! no power outage here, but I did take a sleep aid and then woke up at 3:00 am and 9:00 am to take video and then slept until 3:00 pm! I was anxious about it. DVD was the opposite of DXH in that once he got how I felt he did a lot of reassurance. and brought the "North Pole" inside, as it has lights on it.
apparently there are some lines down in town, so we will be cautions driving to DPs. We are bringing them the second leftover pie. brought it to his mom's last night, and it was a hit.
I had better get ready it's 5:22!
ETA: I just looked outside and realized it's not a night to be out and about. still gale force winds! so I guess I will continue with the office organization project I started yesterday.
