DVD's blood sugar sensor went wonky so he's been dealing with that. Then we went shopping for scrapbooking and cardmaking supplies. ugh I have a lot to report on the acquisitions accountability list!
Next is doing some bulk cooking. I think this is more important than working on the party, as I have the day tomorrow. Gonna stuff some peppers.

Such a tiring day, and my own fault since I did more that I should have for optimal comfort and less pain. I just wanted to get things done though.
I did the dailies, took out the trash and wheeled the bin out to the curb. Unloaded the DW. Did some laundry.
Unloaded and put away a Walmart order. Worked in my Math book.
The biggest, most tiring task was to finally clean out under the kitchen sink and dust it all out and reload all the cleaning supplies, etc. into clean plastic bins. Too much bending down for me. My back was yelping . Toward the end, I was taking rest breaks every few minutes. I dry mopped the kitchen floor.
Talked with my BFF in CT. Processed the mail.
Fed the meows and myself and then took a shower and washed my hair. FINALLY, I folded and hung those clean clothes and put them up. There is a load in the dryer still, but I just can't do the steps again tonight.
My best to all. catcats

Good morning!
I made it to Walmart, I left the house a little before 7 and was home a little before 9. The self-checkout lanes were closed, so a cashier had to ring up my order, which meant that I then had to move everything to the side to rearrange it in my cart the right way to fit it in and not squash anything--when I do it myself I take my time and do it carefully. I hope they aren't closing them permanently, I read an article recently that more stores are closing the self-checkouts due to theft. I wouldn't normally like these lanes if it wasn't for needing the time to fit things into my cart the right way.
They did not have some things I wanted, like Brownberry bread and Walmart brand canned beans. Luckily I still have some of each, since I shop the way I do.
The dog was still on the bed sleeping when I got home, so that was okay--so besides putting frozen and refrigerated stuff away I had to give her food and medicine and take her out. Now I am sitting resting.
Catcats, I sympathize about the sink cleanout, I did mine a few days ago and it was too much bending. At the end I sat on a my little step stool but still had to reach far under there so it didn't help that much. I hope you are not sore today!

I took a reading break with the dog, under the warm covers--I was walking into a cold, damp wind on the way to the store and now my sinuses are acting up. I fed the dog again, and also worked on some office supply stuff around my file cabinet and file holders. Now it's time for lunch and I hope I have some energy after eating to get something done this afternoon.

Have fun at your craft party, scholar!
I got a call from my shopping friend letting me know she got her clothing. She said they look like they fit although she can't try them on until the staff puts her name in them and washes them for her.
I was planning a trip to the library tomorrow because I have a book due, but I just saw a message from the library that they are opening late. I could just go in the morning and throw the book through the slot for returns, but I have a couple of books to pick up too and I decided to just go now--I never go in the late afternoon, so now I'll get a chance to see how busy the place is after school hours.

Back from the library--I briefly considered going without my cart since it still had groceries in it, but ended up piling the groceries on a chair on the enclosed front porch and taking it--I'm glad I did, my feet were hurting after this morning's walk. When I first went into the library there was one person near the front desk, and I thought--when does this place ever have any patrons? But when I looked further into the building I saw 4 or 5 people sitting at tables. Plus as I was leaving a group of noisy kids was coming in. I worry that places with no patrons close, but I guess now that people have computers and can not only browse online to see what they want to read, but also order the books ahead of time, they can just run in and grab what is waiting for them, like I do. So people are taking books out, they're just now browsing nowadays. And not looking up their research in reference books at the library because they can find what they need online.
I'm happy to get that trip out of the way, now I can stay home all day tomorrow.
Time to get dinner ready.

HI Everyone!!! I need reading amnesty tonight. I will work to catch up later in the week. I bought two pairs of shoes today. I finally found a pair of shoes that fits and are comfortable on my feet. So I bought two more - so now i have two in black (in case something happens to one pair) and a pair in dark brown. It has been since before covid that I had shoes that i liked and that looked professional. I would like to have a blue pair too but they only came in black, tan, and dark brown.
I am still trying to get Mom’s phone situation fixed but it will be a process. The cell phone I got her she can no longer figure it out so I have to convert her phone number to a land line.
I am doing laundry right now and need to get the trash ready for tomorrow and to do some dishes. It seems like my life is always cleaning but seeming to keep it status quo.

Hi TML! You won't have to read much to catch up on today, it was just scholar and me here! And scholar is now enjoying her crafty company.
I'm glad you found shoes you like, it's like finding a treasure!
Good night everyone, see you tomorrow!

My hair cutter friend came today and did the cut. Showered and washed hair. Goofed off a lot, but did do the dailies, some laundry, and taking out trash and recycling.
She told me about her neighbor whose small, blind dog was stolen from her yard ( and the gate had the rope removed ), and then dumped. Little dog was 17 yrs. old. I had also seen it on Facebook. She called me tonight and the neighbor had hired a man with a drone. He tracked it and the small dog had crossed a busy street and was in someone's cellarway outside. Doggo is back home. Poor little thing was out in the cold all night, but is fine now. I feel very relieved.
My best to all.

Happy Thursday all! I have not posted since Monday. It has been quite a week- work is coming along and I’m doing all the usuals. However, DD is still really struggling. I have been thinking about being a mom and the age of the text- you can get a text and immediately be thrown off and a text can come in at the middle of the meeting or whenever… it’s an immediacy that the parents of my generation did not have. I wish I could help her. We talked about transferring, but she decided to stay. I hope things improve for her. I would like her to go talk to a counselor- she’s just dealing with a lot , her major is hard and I remember the stress of college life. yesterday, I got a call from her right when I got home from walking with the puppy that her computer had died. It was about 6;30 pm. so I just drove to a store on the way to her school, had her on FaceTime? picked out a computer and drove it to her and drove home. I am totally exhausted, but having a computer is such a necessity that I Was glad to be able to help her one of the perks of her being relatively close is that we can do things like that and one of the reason she picked her college was because it was relatively close, but this mama is tired today! But I was very glad to be able to help her. I want her to know. I have her back during this very stressful time Work is so so - i am working on a big project that that other team is throwing up roadblocks for but yesterday I delegated a task that I was gonna do myself and it was great. The person did it and now it’s done and I could do other stuff. I have to remember the resources I have available to me. I am supposed to work at home today, but chaos set up an in person meeting so I will be heading in shortly last night when I got home I was too tired to keep up with my chores so this morning when I got up, I cleaned up the cat food area, put all the dishes to soak. Did the dishes plus tended the animals. now I have to get ready and go in. Diane. As I mentioned earlier, I went to the big W to try to donate a pair of glasses and bought some pet supplies while I was there. All of the checkout lines were really busy- I was in the line for self check out, which was snaking across the store and I noticed they only had four of the Checkouts available and all the others were off-line. so I asked the clerk are they all broken and she said no we are going down to having only four available so we’re trying to get people used to it. I thought that was pretty dumb. How do you get used to it? It just happens so why make all of the people now. Wait because of the waits in the future ? anyhow need to get ready for work and head in ….being a mom is tougher than I thought. I’ve been a mom for a long time now.

Good morning!
I had decent sleep last night, all my walking aches are gone but my sinuses are still killing me. The whole front of my face is sore and the post-nasal drip is in high mode. I have to admit the place is messier than "baseline" because of groceries and bags everywhere, I never have the energy to put everything away the same day, especially since I still need to do some fridge cleaning.
But I feel motivated to get some things done, so hopefully it will be a good day.
TO DO:
Call decluttering client 10 minutes on filing Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails

Catcats, I'm so glad the little dog got home okay. Hiring a drone--wow, who would even know you could do that! This is why I have locks on my gates, people can be so evil.
Bree, I can't believe you drove all the way to your daughter's school, she is so lucky to have you looking out for her. That's interesting about the Walmart--when I was there I asked why we couldn't use the self-checkout area and they just said "it's closed." Duh, yeah, I can see that! So they're going to destroy most of the expensive self-checkout registers and have to add regular ones, plus additional checkers. They must be having a lot of theft if they think that will save them money in the long run.
