Hello WITers! I'm recovering from a knee injury (bone fracture and severe strain, not sure yet if anything is torn) for the past five weeks. I'm starting to be able to get a few things done on my own while crutching around and I would like to get some stuff done today!
TA DA A few work tasks Cobbled together a morning meal from stuff in fridge
TO DO Put away clean dishes that I washed yesterday Wash one dish Hang leg and gently bend knee for 5 minutes

TA DA Gathered up some dirty containers by bed, put in plastic bag and brought out to kitchen Put away clean dishes that I washed yesterday Washed some dirty dish items (and hung knee while doing so - have to sit on a high stool in front of the sink with legs to the side) Gathered up a few more dirty items from around the kitchen Hung leg and gently bend knee while sitting on bed for 5 minutes
Everything takes soooo long to do!
TO DO 10 minute break Take dirty lunch dishes out to kitchen (I will them from the bed, which is right next to the kitchen, to a cart right inside the kitchen, then to the sink) Wash one dish Put blackberries in container w/lid and put in fridge

Wow! seahorse, WTG for decluttering while having to hobble around! Don't over-do it! ta-da: Listening to a CLA meeting Started a load of laundry Cut up a hubbard squash that I have had since fall. It was really liquid inside, and it made a big mess. It didn't smell bad, but I was nervous about using it, so I scraped up the mess and threw it out into a garden bed. (I have another squash just like it, but am thinking about waiting until tomorrow to cut it, maybe outside) Loaded and started the dishwasher Started making whole-grain, sour dough pizza crust, and took some stuff out of the freezer to make a black-bean turkey chili (I soaked dried black beans overnight) to-do: Continue to work on laundry, dishes, meal prep and declutter.

Hi Ally and great job! Bummer about the hubbard squash not being edible. Thanks for the reminder to not over do it! Argh - I went into the kitchen to get a snack and my crutch hit a plastic fruit container that was on the floor near the trash can and I went half way down and banged my leg on the floor with a lot of weight. Thankfully I didn't go all the way down and was able to get back to the bed. I didn't have my brace on and now the knee and the back of the leg where the fracture happened hurts more than it has for the full five weeks. I'm hoping it was more shocking and scary than anything and that I didn't do any damage. A friend happened to text right after to ask if she could stop by, so I will be relieved to see someone. Another friend will be picking me up around 5:15 for a movie night at another friend's - my first social outing. I have to remember that I will still need to rely on people for the next few weeks and not try to do everything myself. Good luck everyone! I might be back later or maybe I'll take a nap.

seahorse, sorry to hear about your mishap, I'm glad you have friends to check in on you and take you out! I've had a few mishaps myself, I took the bin out of the shedder, and put it in my path. When I tried to step over it, somehow I caught it and shredded paper went all over... (Not really a big deal, but frustrating, then I walked down the hall, and stubbed my toe on a oak headboard that I bought for my husband's bedroom last fall. Ouch, I yelled, but fortunately it feels better now. DustyD, Good luck with your taxes! A few days ago, I was going through a box which turned out to be mostly papers that were from DH's parents... from when they passed >20 years ago, containing some old letters and cards and random stuff. I gave some to DH to go through, I discarded some, but there was a ticket to a baseball game, the 1973 National League Championship series, game #5 at Shea Stadium. DH didn't seem interested. I was thinking of tossing it, but decided to post a photo on social media. Someone replied with an image of another ticket from the same series, going for >$70. I had offered to mail it to whoever wants it. It looks like I have a few interested people. ta-da: Called into several CLA meetings. Emptied the dishwasher Put most of the laundry away Started making some black-bean turkey chili. Most of the ingredients are in the pressure cooker, and it has been started. to-do: Continue with tidying up Finish making chili It's miserable out (cold and rainy) so I haven't checked on the mail. We'll see I might just wait until tomorrow

It would be great if you make some money from the old ticket Ally but, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, thinking our clutter has monetary vault can make getting rid of it so much harder. Well done for all the progress you have been making lately and your pizza base and chilli sound delicious! 2 x loads of washing out in the sunshine Chickening Minor Kitchening Decided on what we are having for dinner tonight Weeded my strawberries, which are having a late summer flush Water outside pots Can't decide what to do next....I get so caught up in trying to work out the best order to do things.... Prep and cook potatoes and maybe some more food prep- I have not been good at this recently Look in cupboards etc and make shopping list Shower
