Hi all. The day started nice and sunny... then it turned into gloomy overcast and cool. Yesterday and today: -filled the large green can with pulled weeds and clipped branches. -collected house trash and put in can for pick-up this morning -scooped 2 litters Todo: -weed, and more branch trimming -plant out new plants -bring in new cat litter from the car -food prep

Done -Got to Walmart for plants -Picked up DH's car when it was ready -Finally got to a certain farm market that sells plants. I'd been by it before, but always got lost when trying to find it on purpose.
To Do -At least one laundry load -Cut up broccoli and celery -Do some strength exercises

Washed dishes. Put away dishes. Went to pharmacy. Slowed down at candy section, but did not stop! PUPA. Mow part of lawn if it's dry enough. It's raining again. (Tomorrow) Go to library to make some copies.

Let's see. I never did laundry yesterday, but I ran the dishwasher.
Didn't get to the broccoli and celery prep, but did peppers, zucchini and an onion. I started washing and setting up a set of containers I bought for produce over a year ago. It's six square containers that all fit into a larger rectangular container. Seems like it should save space in the fridge. I wanted to have veg already chopped up for salads, etc. to make throwing a meal together easier.
Tried out the easiest flexible bar for grip strength exercises.
Today I need to catch up on laundry and picking up the house, so we're ready for the cleaner tomorrow.
Done -Start first load of laundry -Finish veggie prep and container set up -Kitchen cleanup (and I'm not cooking dinner tonight, so there's no more to clean up before tomorrow)
To Do -Start second load of laundry -Walk -PUPA living/dining area

I wanted to have veg already chopped up for salads, etc. to make throwing a meal together easier. That's my aim, too. As much as I like to tell myself that my primary food goal is good, healthful food, in practice what I'm going after is convenience. I.e., for meals and snacks I grab what is ready. I'm thinking that perhaps the time to do the produce prep is right after grocery shopping or the next day. Brought back last bin. Picked up stuff from lawn and brought out the mower. Started dishes soaking. Mow part of the lawn. [Insert jungle emoji.] Plan travel. Go to gym for Pilates. Go to library to make some copies.

Hello all! I'm taking some baby steps today. ta-da: Loaded a bunch of dishes into the dishwasher (I unloaded clean dishes last night before I went to bed.) Got the mail and sorted it. Looked at a catalog and saw a summer dress that I really like, But do I really need it? Would I wear it? Work is having a virtual continuing education conference today, I was supposed to log in for 1 hour of it, BUT I logged in a little early. They guy that was teaching that session was awesome! I wish I had heard the whole thing! Then the guy I was logging in to hear, came on about 15 minutes late and then said he's technologically challenged, and cancelled his lecture. Ate healthy food to-do: Spend some time decluttering Sort through my clothes to see if what I have is adequate for the trip I am taking next month. (I mostly have work clothes [scrubs] and old, cheap clothes that I wear around the house.) Goals are weather appropriate, packable, and able to mix and match. (I'm going to a place with a cooler, damp climate.) I would like to get rid of some clothing that I haven't been wearing while I do this. Some other time planning for trip. We don't have our itinerary completely planned yet.

Hello fellow WIT'ers! I have been feeling low for much about a week or so, maybe even more. Depleted of energy, tired even when I have just woke up, and I'm thinking maybe something is going wrong and coming down with a virus or something. I am doing the very very basics, and can't keep up even with those. Getting tired easily, wanna stay in bed. DONE ~Mopped the front balcony. ~Got doggies out to get some sun, beautiful day. ~Got to lesson and back. To do ~What I can, I will try to keep up with the 3D's.

Yesterday and this morning: -refilled Cup supply -wrote long, late email -tested primitive irrigation system. Seems OK.

Nael_C, I hope you can get the rest you need.
Had to finish PUPA-ing this morning, but I got done in time for the cleaners, who just arrived. I also have two loads of laundry going, towels and sheets
To Do -Wash and dry the mattress pad and pillow covers before remaking the bed -Work in my office while the cleaners are here, during the Zoom work session (I am getting a late start) -Also run a load of jeans/slacks

Thanks for your insight BetsyMarie . I believe part of my problem was that DH blew up at me about 3 weeks ago because he seems to think that If I put my mind to it that I could get my hoard cleaned out in a few days or a few weeks. I had felt that I had been making real progress and I wanted him to be proud of me, but all I got was criticism and threats. He ended up apologizing later, but it really left me feeling discouraged. It did get me motivated to try to find a way to move out, but I realized if I was going to move, I'd have to be able to sort through and pick out what is most important to me first (Plus I'd have to figure out to do with my chickens and the cat) Hi Ally , I had intended to reply to you earlier, and fortunately found this in the first try this morning. I'm sorry you have not been met with total support. Hopefully things at home will get better. I cannot imagine not having support at home. It is what it is. While I am more accepting of how I am (not neat), it does get better, both with acceptance of that fact, and things actually improving. I don't have your 'obstacle' (fortunately cats don't talk), but living alone also means I can stop working on it for long periods of time and just live as things are. Do I think I'll ever reach a stage of being neat? I doubt it. To be honest, I doubt very many hoarders do. There is too much literal and figurative baggage with the situation. But one can reach so much better. That I do believe. One of the concepts that helped me keep at it is the goal that I did/do want things to continue to improve. And there is no acceptable alternative but to just keep working at it. Sometimes there is time, energy, and incentive. That's when the best work gets done. Other times, do what you can, when you can. It all adds up. Time for me to get to work.
