Good morning, guys and dolls! Nice to see everyone's accomplishments. DustyD I hope you enjoyed your anniversary. The plumber and his helper spent the afternoon into the evening replacing hoses and putting in my purchases. Now I have to put everything back where it belongs. 1. Dressed 2. Garbage taken to the street 3. Started filling another bag with garbage 1. Made up the slowcooker 2. Vacuumed the floors I didn't last night 3. Took out garbage bag 4. Picked up sticks and pulled weeds in flowerbed 5. Filled birdbath 6. Vacuumed closet 7. Put clothes and shoes back in closet 8. Took care of wet laundry 9. Put dishes in dishwasher (I will need to remind myself to use it). 1. Calls and contacts 2. Stake garden and put up string so it isn't accidentally trampled 3. Put pans away in cupboard

BTW, the day before our anniversary, I dropped food on my chest at lunch and said something like, there I've made a mess again as usual. DH said that's why he loves me. He said if I were always put together and kept the house perfectly, it would be stressful and uncomfortable for him. Well, I'm glad to hear he loves me, and glad he accepts my faults, but it was kind of a surprise to hear. Done -Two loads of laundry in process -Cleaned the air fryer and electric skillet -Dishwasher is going -Cleared some emails To Do -Shower -Errands: get cash for first half of July, get gas, pick up corn on the cobs -Weeding (that will be my exercise instead of walking)

TO-DA 1) Watch cake out of oven - needs to cool for 1.5 hours extremely rich 2) Pull out ingredients for the next item I'm making 3) Laundry switch Bonus: Put away (at least to the proper room) everything that doesn't belong in the main areas - living room, family room, kitchen and a couple hallway tables - not cleaned just PEEPed Broke down four small boxes and took to recycling bin. TO DO: 1) mix up next recipe and bake - a bit of an experiment - I've made them frequently but never a day ahead and warmed up - hoping they won't be soggy tomorrow 2) put away clean linens from other bedroom 3) laundry room switch? Expresso helped - I'm awake

Hi, BetsyMarie WTG on setting the water timer. DustyD That is really sweet! phoenixcat I hope you have a good time - and CAKE! One of my calls led to an appointment later today, so I rearranged my TO DO list. 1. Calls and contacts 2. Staked garden so it isn't accidentally trampled 3. Brought trash bin back from road 4. Sorted mail 5. Put a brought-back-to-life lily into the ground (It's the only stella d'oro ) 6. Sprayed the shed for earwigs and boring insects; took down an unseen wasp and did NOT get stung! 1. Put pans away in cupboard 2. Put away any dry clothes (it's getting cloudy) 3. Put away cleaning products under the sink (have to rearrange it for the new tube placements, too)

missjean - good of you to rescue that lily! 1) mix up next recipe and bake - a bit of an experiment - I've made them frequently but never a day ahead and warmed up - hoping they won't be soggy tomorrow did the shredding and cutting - needs to "rest" for about a half hour before mixing it 2) put away clean linens from other bedroom 3) laundry room switch? not ready yet Bonus: 1) put away stuff in both guest rooms - wasn't that much once I did the linens. It will be nice to have a clean slate! 1) Finish mixing the recipe and bake 2) Put away clean linens in the laundry room 3) as always - pick up shoes in the closet - SIGH

yes goldenthreads I think that would have the opposite effect - maybe when I'm ready for that nap! 1) Finish mixing the recipe and bake Done - smell good2) Put away clean linens in the laundry room 3) as always - pick up shoes in the closet - SIGH Bonus - folded a load of laundry and put last clothes load in the dryer. The recipe didn't make quite as many as I hoped even when doubled. . Plus I know that at least 2 will be eaten shortly - one for me to try and one for DH to sample. Still gives at least 2 per person if they even like them and eat them. Sort of a zucchini tot to go with the egg dishes. Since they are cooked - I think I will store them in a container outside of the fridge once they cool. Maybe put paper towels underneath. Trying to keep them dry and compacted instead of wet. 1) DH coming with an ingredient I forgot and then will mix up the spinach artichoke dip 2) Still need to finish the linens in the laundry room 3) Closet stuff - shoes, etc. 4) Gather up towels for the washing machine

Where did the two hours go? 1) DH coming with an ingredient I forgot and then will mix up the spinach artichoke dip - Done and in the fridge - will be assembled tomorrow2) Still need to finish the linens in the laundry room Done and put away - needed my stepstool and as long as I had it out - put away something in the kitchen and fixed some stuffed animals that looked like they were going to slide to the back of the entertainment center. 3) Closet stuff - shoes, etc. 4) Gather up towels for the washing machine Done - in the dryer now and last load I'm doing is in the wash - kitchen towelsBonus: Running dishwasher Hand washed a lot of the dishes that I've been using for cooking/baking so I can use again Gathered up all the ingredients for the breakfast casserole and have sautéed the asparagus, leeks and spinach. Finished plating the cake and added powdered sugar. DH said it wasn't quite as moist as usual - we tried a bit from the underneath. But it tastes OK and probably ice cream will be my friend. To-do 1) finish the casserole and put in fridge overnight - making a mini one to try now "just in case" 2) Finally circle back on the closet tasks 3) Put away all the clothes I washed. Bonus - put out the ingredients for the last dish I'm making today

The plumber and his helper . . . When I read this, I immediately remembered my great-grandfather who used to say he was going to meet with a plumber and a helper, which meant a tall glass of beer and a shot of whiskey.
