You've been busy, Goldenthreads and Betsy-Marie. I got up really late and then spent way too much time reading my book.
Ta Da: --watered bedroom plants --5 items away --medications
To Do: --brush a cat --5 items away --plant something outside?

I'm so tired I want to cry.
This past week (actually the past month, year, decade, half century....) has been intense and accomplishments have occurred.
Right now I'm trying to work on a proposal, but feel like setting down the laptop and closing my eyes.
TA DA: Bath, meds, healthy breakfast (thanks, DH), got dressed, worked on this week's online course module, discovered a really interesting historical collaboration, included it in the course module, looked at maps (we took a short trip away), worked on proposal in care while DH drove, took a very brief hike with DH, worked on proposal in care while DH drove back to suite, worked on proposal, now at a snail's pace.
So, after writing all that I realize I've done some things today. Why do I feel like I've been nothing but a slug?

I get too tired to report on the TA DAs and project/outline the TO DOs. This is likely why I have a minimal amount of posts compared to my colleagues here.
But here goes:
TO DO: Keep working on the application (So here's another challenge: The stuff I do is complex and has so many small, medium, and overwhelmingly large parts to it. I don't know what to do work on. I can't focus in a more linear manner to deal with the micro-tasks one by one in order).
I also don't know when to stop. I completed another complete arse pain last Thursday -- a book proposal. The guidelines indicated that proposals generally are 5-7 pages (single spaced). But the questions were extensive and the expectations too much. The thing ended up being 22 pages. And this is for a book for which my co-author and I have already signed a contract. I'm angry at myself and angry at others for asking / expecting so much.
I digress.
Apologies.
Starting over.
TO DO: Finish section VI.d. "Benefits of the study."
Subtask 1: Finish including references of all in-text citations.
Subtask 2: Finish paragraph on inclusion.
Subtask 3: Finish paragraph on belonging.
Oh - since we're away from home I am happy to report that the little resort cottage/suite is tidy and clean, thus no major TO DOs/DAs regarding cleaning and organizing. I can manage this when I only have a minimal amount of stuff with me.

ClimbingPyramids I'm glad you got to get away to the cottage. Complex thinking like that is hard work, and draining! You just finished with one proposal, only to go on to your book proposal in addition to your regular work. I hope you're able to get in a full couple of days of little but what feeds your soul, or at least some deep relaxation. Another day of needing an afternoon nap. Washed dishes.Put away dishes.PUPA 7 minutes in kitchen. Do stretches and arm exercises.Examine produce to see if it's okay. Peel carrots.Repot houseplant.Declutter. Call about that overcharge. Do some weeding.
Tomorrow's errands: dentist, library, gas station

Not a particularly productive day, but so much better than last week (or the past year, for that matter) when I could get through the entire day with nothing to show for it.
Ta Da: --brushed both cats --put away three things --scooped cat pans --took PM medications
To Do: --go to bed

CCD, I should brush my cat. She needs her nails trimmed as well, but I can't do that on my own. (DH is concerned that it hurts her and that's why she won't let me.)
ta-da: Emptied the dishwasher, and then moved stuff from the sink into the DW. Started a very full load of laundry Fed cat, ate some breakfast.
to-do: Put away groceries that I bought yesterday afternoon Continue with laundry Sort through some papers (The cat keeps walking across my keyboard!)
Later: CLA meeting in about 60-90 minutes There is a educational session for work that I will be listening in to in 3 hours Start prepping for trip (no hurry on this)
