Diane and mylittlescholar you are so supportive!! So I got a little weary of going through all these papers. I made a big dent in it, but there’s still a lot left. Maybe I made a halfway dent. I think what I’ll do next is vacuum and things like that instead of just sitting sorting papers.

I can't believe how fast this day is going by! It always feels like that if I have to go somewhere, especially somewhere that doesn't open til 9--half the morning is gone by then.

I'm stopping for dinner, and after dinner I have to clean out the seed pool because there's a tiny chance of rain overnight. Better chance tomorrow into Sunday but only 50% chance each day.
I have more to do in the fridge but it'll have to wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow it will be cooler than today so hopefully I can get some extra done in the yard besides my morning session, because after tomorrow there's a week of low 90s with high humidity.
I hope I sleep well tonight, I didn't yesterday, I seem to be alternating a good night with a bad one again.

Thanks for the good wishes about the washing machine Diane. Someone is coming out to look at it on Tuesday. Hopefully I can do something about the damp towels lining the floor by then. We are out tomorrow so we will see.
We chatted with a good friend of ours today who mentioned he had a cleaner coming tomorrow. He felt a bit embarrassed to admit it, since he lives alone in an apartment. I cut him off on the shame chat and had an honest chat with him about my own journey to a better home environment, with boyfriend backing me up on a lot of it. He messaged me later to thank me for the encouragement, so posting this is also a reminder to message him tomorrow and ask how it went. I'd love to get a cleaner to do some things I struggle with in the house but I have so much to save for at the moment. Something to motivate me I suppose!
Done: Put away laundry Emptied trash en suite Emptied trash living room Emptied trash bedroom Bagged up oven parts for disposal Trip to recycling centre Cleaned sink Cleaned toilet Little bit of dusting in downstairs bathroom Changed towels downstairs bathroom Watered plants Achieved dining table zero Achieved floor clothes zero Achieved coffee table zero Sprayed down shower surrounds

Good morning! It looks like we will actually have rain on and off as forecast, I went outside this morning only to have to come back in almost immediately because it started. I should be able to do something outside mid-day today because it sounds like it'll be cloudy and drizzly all day. I have to enjoy this moderate day today because the hot week starts tomorrow.

Good afternoon TT!
I just gathered the compost out of the fridge--every single time I do this I say to myself--I will not waste any more food, I will eat it all! And then I do it again.
One more list before lunch.
Next:
Bring compost out to bin Bring 40# seed to downstairs bin Fill up seed and other jars Put dry laundry away

Diane 😂 I do exactly the same thing with produce. Always promising to do better and never doing it. I’m going to try a different approach this week. I have two really yummy dinner recipes (I’ll happily eat leftovers) and a lunch on repeat with slight variations. Then, when those are gone, I’ll choose two new yummy supper recipes and one new lunch with variations. I’m hoping that will cut down on how many vegetables I buy. I’m also researching ways to store veggies so they last longer. For example, if you wrap celery in foil it will last weeks! It really works! You’re doing awesome!
Twinkletoes, you are rocking! Great job!
Hi Reve, I got so tired reading your list. Well done! Very impressive!
Hey Bree, I know that feeling. So much to do, where to start? But look what you got accomplished in the garage and outside! Outstanding! No wonder you’re still a bit tired. Huge task!
Well I squandered yesterday watching the Olympics but I’ve started cleaning today. Cleaned the toilet and around the back which was gross. Also cleaned the sink and counter. I’m going to take a picture of under the sink (and other areas) to take to the dollar store to help with buying containers for organizing.
I have a sugar ant problem. Does anyone else deal with this?
Watching swimming finals so taking a break but I’ll go back to the bathroom when this is done. I’d like to have it sparkling by the end of the day. Doing a deep clean.
Thinking of you all! Deb

Good afternoon everypony!
slept late again cause of benadryl. tomorrow I will try something that doesn't cause so much drowsiness.
Today we are going to buy a door for DVD's mom. I will use the RV. Its good to drive it periodically, so there will be two birds with one stone.
Yesterday I got all set up for paper processing. Fortunately it is only supposed to get up to 79*F/26*C today, so it won't be too hot to do this later in the afternoon.
I'm a bit stressed about the Park Fire. I have one friend and one frenemy in that neck of the woods. Its triggering everypony's trauma from the Paradise fire. I know I should turn off the notifications. I will ask DVD to help me with this. After all the rain last winter there is a lot of fuel. It will not only be a bad fire season; the season is going to last all year.

Good afternoon scholar!
Deb, I've always had trouble with buying too much food because I don't drive, so I can't just run to the store if I need something--where I live now the grocery stores are several blocks away so it's a long walk there and back. But I recently subscribed to Walmart's delivery service so I have to get myself in the mindset of not having to hoard food so much, I can get most of what I need within a day so I don't have to buy extras of everything. I'm going to try to concentrate on this because I have no excuse now!
I don't get ants very often but the few times I did I was able to wash all the surfaces where they were coming in to wash away the scent trails--that took care of it. Of course, you have to know where they're coming in, and you have to put away any food that's out in the open. And, I'm loath to kill anything so I try every other option first.
My next door neighbor's family has three family members that work at the hospital closest to me, and one of them was on a high floor of the building and saw an unusual bird on the windowsill so took a photo through the window. He showed it to me--it's a turkey vulture! This was only a few blocks away from me! I really need to keep my eyes open, I would love to see a turkey vulture. I had no idea they were this close--although, whenever there is suddenly an animal that shouldn't be this close I think it means their habitats are being destroyed so they're venturing closer to people because they have no choice.
I'm going to do one more list and then stop for a reading break before dinner.
Next:
Check movie schedule and set DVR Collect garbage and recycling to take outside Put all CDs away, in correct order Delete 50 emails

After my reading break I went outside, I was hoping it would be cooler with fewer mosquitoes but it was quite humid so I did get a few bites. I did weeding and staked up 3 plants. I didn't see any butterflies, but I saw lots of bees--and a hummingbird! It hovered right in front of me for a second, so cute.
We got one more little bit of rain this afternoon, all together it was a little less than half an inch. Tomorrow there are thunderstorms predicted, but again, only around a 50% chance.
I had dinner and now it's time to get ready for bed.
Good night everyone, see you tomorrow in the weekday thread.
Diane
