Hello goldenthreads! ta-da: Called one place to make an appointment for an oil change, but the phone rang and rang... Went to the website of another place, and made an appointment for tomorrow morning. Printed out format for CLA meeting this evening. I will want to read through it sometime within the next couple of hours. Emptied the dishwasher and made some sourdough pizza dough, then realized I had no pizza or tomato sauce, so I found a recipe that uses sliced tomatoes and fresh basil, and I have both in my garden. to-do: Continue with making appointments. I made a mistake with my HSA/FSA accounts at the beginning of the year (cards look identical but have different numbers), and put stuff on the wrong account, and now the account that I would have been able to carry over until next year (HSA from last year) is empty, and the other (FSA from this year) has to have a zero balance by the end of the year, or I will lose it. I will buy a new pair of glasses, get my teeth taken care of and I don't know what else! Do some decluttering, I have procrastinated on this today Pick tomatoes and harvest some basil for the pizza.

Done --Shower --Started laundry --Emptied out and reorganized the kitchen pantry cabinet. I intended to do a One Hour Better session like on some of Dana K White's videos, but I ended up working a lot longer than an hour. It was satisfying and I didn't want to stop. Got a lot of food packages put away that had been sitting around on counters.
Now I'm having a cold seltzer water before making dinner. After dinner I still hope to exercise and I need to finish the laundry. I don't think I'll check in again until tomorrow, so I'll say good night.

This Week TaDa everytime I had dirty dishes, they went into the DW. Wed TaDa talked on phone friend, her ckns no longer laying so did a quick grocery run, 2 doz eggs, two 5 packs of discounted ckn tenders, chip dip, spices, 2 pks cookies & ice cream was I hungry do ya figure? TaDa wiped down/put away the big cutting board I used under the electric canner dug in my under counter, found an accessable spot for the 7 jars canned hamburger hm, eggs in the fridge dated sell by Dec, opened one, had lost moisture, tossed the egg, then went D'oh! cuz I knew I was making pumpkin custard put a bunch of the eggs in the IP when I went to peel them, I was Nah! and tossed the HB and the raw ones scrubbed my ickky K sink. It's from 1960s. It's a drop in with an aluminum wrap. Crapola accumulates where the sink meets the wrap. Impossible to clean thoroughly, cuz when you wipe it, more comes from under the wrap. Cannot spray under there, water will go into the cupboard. I scraped the edge with a bread clip. also scrubbed the drainer tray I used under the dishpan mixed up a crustless pumpkin pie for breakfast eating, into IP (first time on recipe, we shall see) put all the bits in the DW, running handwashed the pumpkin mixing bowl (DW was full) and two lap trays detail washed the sink back splash dust/cleaned the two pretties shelves above the sink folded plastic grocery sacks wiped down top of DW The kitchen is nowhere near done, but the bits I did are good. And encouraging.

Adventures in pumpkin: OK, the recipe I found said use 1 c water (to cook with) in the IP I didn't pay attention, and used way more well, it boiled up or condensed INTO the springform pan I tried to tip out the water of the pan into the IP, and the blessed thing just poured into the IP base pan I am very glad I didn't use the same water from the eggs. Theoretically clean/no germs, because, you know, BOIL. But I had poured it out & rinsed, and refilled. The recipe called for 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice. I don't buy mixed spices. I mean, I HAVE the spices. these three spices were bulk purchases at a spice store. I used 1/4 t each nutmeg/allspice. I had on a whim purchased vietnamese cinnamon. I used 1/2 t of that. This stuff, whoosh, spicy. I guess use regular cinamon, or way less of the VN. the custard isn't set, cuz of the water incursion. I put some in a bowl including scraping it out of the water in the IP, and soaked up the liquid with a clean cloth napkin. The napkin was completely soaked. I set the springform pan on the DW, at an angle for the liquid to drain down the edge. The recipe called for 1/2 c sugar, but she had used 1/3 cup cuz it was a little sweet. When I went to scoop the sugar, wow, 1/3 cup looks like a lot, so I used 1/4 cup. the calorie dif between 1/3 and 1/4 c is 64. 4 servings, 16 cal each. It's not quite sweet enough. I may try it again with regular cinnamon, and 1/4 c. dunno. It probably needs to be 1/3 c. anyway, it isn't a crustless pie (a take on a weightwatchers recipe) or custard, it's more like glop. Edible glop, but glop nonetheless.

Hello, DustyD and Ally! mouseanne That's quite the adventure with the not-quite pumpkin pie! Is it too sweet to turn into a puréed pumpkin soup? Maybe you could add it to oatmeal. Easy for me to say. Put away clothes from rack. Cleaned one kitchen sink. Started dishes soaking. Make donation for gift. Reset date and time for pedometer. Spend 5 minutes decluttering. Update calendar with revisions of events. Box up the stuff to be mailed. Put away clothes from dryer.

Hi DustyD Ally BetsyMariegoldenthreads, I portioned it into 2 more containers, to just eat with a spoon, as breakfast. Not wasting any time on the glop trying to salvage it into 'something better'. It might work turned into muffins, but I'm done with it. hand washed a few dishes/spoons/the IP liner pan soaking the pumpkin springform emptied cat litter washed the litter pan, drained a while, wiped it dry refilled the litter pan
