Yay! People are back! Good to see you all doing your 3's. Wow... it is HOT in my bedroom... It's over the garage, so the a/c never quite cools it the same way, so I am only using fans. Done: 1. Remade and fluffed bed. Vacuumed top of stairs and 1/3 of bedroom. I have to pick things up to do the rest. 2. Removed tall fan from attic and washed away dust/dirt on it. 3. Took a few cups to kitchen for washing. To Do: 1. Ok... i am just stalling. I have to work on my report cards. They are due on Monday.... 2. Declutter night table and top of dresser. 3. Declutter kitchen table.

Hi MellowYellow - you are on a tear today! Bed made, fan out of the attic and dusted, dishes downstairs... Nice job. I hope it cools off for you as it gets later.
Tadas: 1) Figured out how to upload and post pictures (This is a big one, I am not computer savvy!) 2) Took "before" pictures of kitchen and posted in picture section here (but they're really big, have asked for help on that on the tech board) 3) Fed self and DD lunch
Todos: 1) Wash one load of dishes in kitchen 2) Clean one counter completely in kitchen 3) Pick up empty grocery bags from floor of kitchen

Hi NOTC,
What you said about backsliding resonated with me. I really felt that way this week. Between an awful lot of school duties, taking care of four cats and two households (parents on holidays)... I was really feeling a bit pressured. Not weepy or near breaking, but definitely letting things slide. And then to top it off when I wreaked the wooden floor... (which is now mostly fixed to my satisfaction.. though of course not perfectly.) I felt I was getting messier by the day.
Done 1. Drove over and watered the huge assortment of plants at my mum's. 2. Brought in the newspaper. put away some photo albums and books (parents' place) 3. Played with cat and gave fresh food/water/etc.
To Do: 1. Declutter kitchen table. 2. Declutter bedroom dresser and night table. 3. Put some garbage and recycling outside in bins.

good evening all !!! Clutterbunny, great job on tackling the carpet, I've been there. You're doing good mellowyellow! The author of my quote is Melody Beattie, she's written quite a few good books, including something like learning to love ourselves. notc, great to see you back in action, after reading your post I realized that I was back in old habits and neglecting my space(mom's guest bedroom), so thanks for helping me! bluefrog big hugs I'm right there with you with our hospitalized friends, I'm so glad you were able to visit with her today. Diurnal is working for you today sygyzy, good progress! tadas -watered outdoor plants and lawn -put in load of laundry -picked up MY room -loaded DW -emptied small recyclables into large bin outside -hooked mom up to PT machine todos -something for myself w/out leaving house ( I'm becoming very restless and my mom's friend was supposed to come by but didn't, so I wasn't able to leave - she's hooked up to PT machine for 6 hrs a day, not all at once) -go to grocery store -make dinner best artsy

Hi all,
Mellowyellow - thanks for the empathy. I've been reading about your floor saga. Didn't post because I had no experience/ideas, but I'm so glad it's gotten better (that is totally something I would have done btw)
Bluefrog - I hope your friend's surgery goes well
syzygy - yay for you for getting up and exercising! Especially on a weekend!
clutterbunny - wtg on picking up your room! Not to mention the laundry and plants. Old habits are so easy to slide back into, right? Thank goodness for each other - people who truly understand...
Tadas: 1) Washed load of dishes and filled dishwasher 2) Dried while DD washed more dishes (also didn't insist that my 5 year old do things "perfectly" - major tada for this ironically squalorous perfectionist!) 3) Cleaned one counter 4) Picked up empty grocery bags from kitchen floor 5) Swept and mopped kitchen floor w/ DD
Todos: 1) Clean rest of kitchen counters 2) Take pictures of clean kitchen 3) Post "after" pictures
